  • The Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, spoke to the press ahead of a meeting at the European Commission with EC Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron, and Chief Minister Fabian Picardo.
Mr Albares said Spain had put forward solutions that were fair, just and good for both Gibraltar and the Campo. He said he did not, for Spain's part, see obstacles towards advancing to an agreement.

GBC could have asked about Sovereignty and red lines, rather than about the interim measures. missed opportunity

I think Picardo is more willing to accept Spains demands. Soon will see share prosperity with GB. Sharing the Airport is a must and Spanish Guardia Civil at the Airport.

A half decent attempt by the Spanish Foreign Minister to convey the impression that, on the Spanish side of the border, and in the negotiations, the EU is not pulling all the strings. I hope nobody on our side of the negotiations is fooled by his performance.

I don't think he's even trying to convey that impression, everybody in Spain knows who is the boss: Brussels. And Spaniards are perfectly ok with it, they are not British after all (thank God!)

@@anonnemo2504 You get triggered too easily, my friend. British people are too emotional, it seems.
