This dude started a war because he was sour about a girl not liking him back.
He was sour because his whole foster family, which is the family he grew up with, abandoned him. He was sour because the system was unfair to small "lords" like him. And also a girl didn't like him.
Yeah but BOBBY B literally started a revolution and took over for lyanna so... happens
@@Cuggaconroyfan30001 This is actually one of the biggest misunderstandings in the series. The war/rebellion was started by Jon Arryn when the mad king told him, he wanted Robert's and Ned's head.
@@randomedd4234 yeah but then I cant type BOBBY B and im less amused
Almost like Obito started whole ninja war for Rin & both shows had such a shitty ending
It’s kind of ironic how people call him Littlefinger and yet he has a further reach than any man with a sword.
That's tywin c'mon now.
If the faith of the seven banned usury like any proper religion should, he could have done no such thing. If the people did not tolerate lies and did not trust the coin he would have gained no power and caused not harm.
until he disregards the existence of the supernatural. let that be a lesson
This is well put.
😉
Littlefinger and Varys should have been in the story until the bitter end. It would have been poetic to see them battle it out behind the scenes.
They are both alive... oh nvm your talking about the garbage show? Hah must suck
@@factbeaglesarebest I wouldn’t say that the entire show was bad. But mostly season 8 basically ruining all the characters and all the characters the important one at least. Getting plot armor in a show that used to keep the audience on edge wondering who will die and who will live
Varys but not Petyr. Many think they are the same but they're actually quite different. Varys is very neutral. He has few allies but also few enemies and does not desire power. He almost never lies or does anything outright wrong. Rather he omits information and does things that are questionable but never truly despicable. Petyr does lie and also takes risks.
@@VictorTorres-rg9lp it went exponentially bad starting from mid season 6, 5 was mediocre but the glory came to an end after season 4, after season 4 it was dick jokes, not a queen of ashes and uh dun wan it
@@factbeaglesarebest i would defend the show thru most of the first five years. The casting was brilliant and there were some scenes and players that outshine their book characters.
"let's have this guy, who at 15 didn't yield to a man hitting him with sword, beg for his life in front of Sansa" I'm sure said no sane man ever
Well it does kina work. He wouldn't give up for Catelyn and kept Sansa aroung cause she resembled her mother so she'd have some influence over him through that connection
? Obviously he begged for his life because he had more to live for at the time and + it was a duel???? He knew the consequences and was willing to die for love but not for his crimes. Use your head
Little finger was a coward through and through. He died like one on his knees
@@devinsmith7527he could have asked for a trial by combat or the wall.

“Kissing games” “seeing her as her little brother”
*_SWEET_* *_HOME_* *_ALABAMA_*
Cersei approves
If you haven’t figured out it seems in the Game of Thrones world incestous experiments aren’t as taboo
The Tyrell girl cousins had kissing games with each other, doesn’t mean they’re incest practising lesbians. At that age, it was experimentation.
The perfect character ruined by the hacks of D&D cause they didn’t know how to finish off a smart character
Yeah they ruined intelligent characters like Little Finger, Varys and Tyrion after season 4.
@Bonnie Cull He does, but still, I was hoping for a better and fitting death than the storyline they served us....I was already getting really annoyed the moment he 'gave' Sansa away to the Boltons, how is that even strategic and it's totally not Petyr's style..ugh. Anyway..I suppose we'll see whatever happens to Petyr in book...if he lost his life, I hope it's going to be caused by something good. :p
@Bonnie Cull that's not the issue here. The lead up and execution is. Having the Mary Sue that began pretending to be Arya Stark at some point kill Littlefinger was just stupid.
EXACTLY!!! But so much of the show is that. They’d had 4 books- eventually 5 worth of well written dialogue and characters. They had an EASY job they just lacked writing skills
I'm a bit confused
In the books he’d be smart enough to demand trial by combat
He would have said, yes I deny it. Prove it!
Jordan Kay Actually in the books, he already has all of the “charges” absolutely sorted.
Even his only 100% provable crime, betraying Eddard Stark, was something he could reasonably argue as the only option available given his visible small power and the fact he was in the centre of a place that wanted Stark dead.
Petyr has a bard blamed for Lysa’s death, has everyone thinking he’s a completely innocuous money man.
The only one’s who know how dangerous he is are Varys, Alirrio Mopatis and Tyrion. Literally everyone else just think he’s that useful little man with the money.
In the books, if Bran came to him quoting something he said in private. Bran would be dead.
Littlefinger even staying in winterfell would be bad news to him. He would have realized this even before Jon being crowned king of the north.
Didn't Tommen put an end to trial by combat?
4:11 All except for Tyrion. Because Petyr was taller than him.
Tyrion is the thumb
I think they convinced John Arin to marry Lisa because he was having trouble getting women pregnant and the fact that Lisa got pregnant so easily proved her to be extremely fertile. I really felt bad for her after reading that parts.
Jon Arryn needed an heir, and the other side needed an ally for the rebellion. Lysa was a sure bet (fertile, young), so he didn't need much convincing. :p
Yeah Lysa was more sympathetic in the books than in the show.
Petyr's mother's name is Alayne .It's mentioned in A Feast for Crows
So he also has mommy´s issues? Remember what his "bastard" is name after.
The reason he was sent away so soon was because of the pregnancy. I don't doubt that lord Tully would send him away after the duel, but it was the pregnancy that sent him from riverrun before he was fully healed.
But little finger has the best story
He was the most interesting character in the tv show, objectively. But his death was by far the dumbest writing decision of all.
@@grubbybum3614 His death pissed me off beyond belief. Those idiots D&D didn't know how to write for his character, so they killed him off.
@@TChalla616 his death in the show is what motivated me to start reading the books. 🤣👍
Tyrion: "Varys cuuuuukkkks!"

What were you expecting...Little Finger to have a glorious death like burned alive by a dragon...
His throat getting slit by Aria Stark is poetic justice.
The North Remembers and Winter came for Littlefinger
Damn. Baelish started two wars over scorned love.
are you blaming him for the Rebellion/Greyjoy Rebellion?
@@godemperorofmankind3.091 I guess he's blaming baelish for Robert's rebellion and main aeries war in got, because it's said when baelish was just a boy in riverlands, he saw rhaegar took lyana, and he knew it was not kidnapping ( any kid can understand what is done forcefully and what not) but even then he still told everyone that lynna was " kidnapped" , because he knew this would bring chaos, and chaos is ladder

@@kasinokaiser1319 It would have been a great war
His name is Robert read the books.
You're missing one key factor. Baelish is a salesman. Salesmen like him would come to your village and sell the most incredible things, and he would pack up and leave town before anyone could realize they've bought poison.
In the show, baelish keeps trying to sell his BS to the people who know hes a liar.
In my opinion his death would have been so much more interesting if it would have been a trial by combat that he lost in winterfell. It would have been a cycle
@Bonnie Cull Yes but then he should've asked for a Knight of the vale to fight for him and when he'd inevitably get denied of that then he'd be forced to fight for himself.
@Bonnie Cull if he was backed into a corner I'm pretty sure he would fight. He should have hired skilled knights to train him as soon as started making money. 🤣
The real Petyr would've high tailed it back to the Veil the moment Bran pretty much told him he knows he's a snake. Or maybe he would've headed back long before that. It's a shame he became a generic mustache twirling villain by the end of the show. Petyr, Tyrion and Varys all became idiots by the end unfortunately.
@@Mrlaneck Yeah and he wouldn't have immediately admitted he killed Lysa he would know that all he'd have to do is convince Ser Royce and the Knights of the Vale that he's innocent then he would have a better chance at living or possibly even a safe passage back to the Vale. Like Sansa even lied for him that should be enough proof that Petyr is innocent in killing Lysa even though he's not.
@@Mrlaneck Wasn't there a theory for a brief period that Petyr had paid a Faceless man to die in his place while he fled to Braavos?
Petyr is a total Slytherin
Joel Katumba . True, I always saw him as the Snape in Game of Thrones given they share similar traits.
Only difference is that Snape hates Harry but protects him in his own way
Petyr has affections towards Sansa and used her for his personal gain
@@cars81434 Honestly, what do you think a bitter asshole like Snape have done if Harry was born female and looking like Lily?
So much of Snape's hate for Harry was superficial and shallow because Harry happened to look like James.
If Harry was born female and looking like Lily, Snape's character would have way creepier connotations than we get in the books.
@@starwarfan8342 snape was a good person

Not to mention that whole literal genocidal Nazi phase he went through in his early adulthood.
Lol Snape is nothing like Littlefinger.
Would've been interesting to see how Little Finger would've reacted to the white walkers, let's hope he reaches that in the books
He will. The latter seasons storyline is IMPOSSIBLE in the books so don’t worry
@@factbeaglesarebest Well how would he deal with a threat that he can't deceive or negotiate with?
Kasino Kaiser how WILL he. Petyr Baelish likely won’t die till Dream of Spring. If you reread like most fans due (I’m low on the spectrum of rereads at 11) you know... his purpose is claiming power OVER others due to a tragic childhood, love, and more importantly a shit family which caused him to be mocked and ridiculed...
Now the events of WoW likely will hit Essos so he couldn’t just move to Essos. He’s planning to marry Sansa, but again this is overthrowing power; littlefinger getting the daughter of the woman the man who scarred him was offered.
In essence he’ll continue to establish chaos, possibly HELPING the OTHERS- wearing what will be a long long massive many battles war with the Others. Remember there is NO Night King. The Others aren’t killed by a dumb fucked up weird Arya makes no sense kill; this is why I hate the show- if the show wasn’t working to recreate an incredibly good book series I’d say that was dumb... but fun to watch.

@@fenixchief7 good point. But she is speaking about GoT in wich we dont see that much of his bad deeds.
But someone can like a villain without rooting for him.
Also in this we could count in the actors amazing work as Littlefinger.
So I might be wrong but I have as much information as you do in saying that maybe she thinks that Littlefinger is a perfect villain/character not a perfect person
I honestly thought Petyr was a dwarf at first reading
It just seems all Starks have the highest sense of honor and human decency in the whole G.R.R. Martin’s world. Brandon was generous with Littlefinger, and he certainly didn’t have to.
He almost killed Petyr if not for Cat, he was also hot headed. I can agree with honor but Brynden wasn't decent.
@@mayankbisht7691 it was a fight for Katts hand. Little finger would not yield.
Next to Jamie, the Hound and Stannis, Petyr is my favourite person.
That he’s a Faceless Man makes sense. The dude is a spy of the highest caliber. Master manipulator and probably a master assassin without the theatrics. He’s by far one of the most interesting characters and although I haven’t read the books, looking back at the show, his death seemed premature, albeit enjoyable, because when I was watching I didn’t know any better. I need to get me those books.
Getting 11 minutes out of this topic is littlefinger levels of cleverness
His death happened incredibly fast
When? What chapter?
Agent58 in the show not the books
Bc they didnt bother to make a good reason for his death so they pretended sansa could outsmart him just to move the plot forward
I agree that a lot of stuff was rushed in the last two seasons, but they set up the con between Arya and Sansa over a couple of episodes. It was quite fitting for a man with so many plans and a silver tongue to be caught completely off guard. His storyline in the books will be different, but do you really see him surviving til the end of the series?
Mainly because he made decisions that made *no sense.* Why would he ever give up Sansa to the Boltons? Oh right, in the books he doesn’t because he has literally no reason to.
He’s probably my favorite person on the show everyone who looked down on him and mocked him he outsmarted them and made them fight each other and laughed as they killed each other off once the ashes cleared he would take the reigns as last man standing a well played nuetral character I love the guy
“He’d watch the whole world burn if he gets to rule over the ashes”
I would be totally fine if Petyr won in the end
Also me
Guess that shows your character. He's one of the worst pieces of shit in the series.

These videos are making appropriate Petyr's character way more than I did back when I was still watching the show.
He was the perfect example of how dangerous are the 'grayman'.
It's a shame the show didn't put much to give him more time. He was a bravoosi descent, and certainly he knows more than 'arya the lame assasin' about the many faces gods.
He's 3 generations removed from anything to do with Braavos. And his great-grandfather from there wasnt a Faceless Man from what we know, so he probably knew little about their deity.
He's my favorite character
After the horrible ending of the TV series, this summary of Littlefinger's story is healing.
Both inpast and today's era, there were people that very similar to that littlefinger.
Petyr Baelish is spot on one of the best-written characters in the book and my favorite (besides Tywin, Tyrion, Varys, Doran, Arianne, plus a few others). I'm still waiting with bated breath for the upcoming two books. I hope that it'd be released soon.
The cut throat isnt the worst part. He was outsmarted by a stupid plan by 2 little girls.
Considering little finger would rather die than give up, him begging to Sansa was straight up character assassination
I don’t understand how he knew that Bran saw Jaime and Cersei going at it in winterfell and made it look like the Lannisters tried to kill Bran by hiring the assassin with Roberts dagger when he was in Kings Landing where it takes like a month for news to reach from the north. So this makes me think he’s a faceless man, or has some connection to them. If so he’s probably the most dangerous “player”
And I agree his death in the show was absolutely stupid, and ruined his whole arc, but then everyone agrees D&D stands for dumb and dumber.
devinjiggablah77 ravens are fast. Or maybe he has spies everywhere.
It's implied that Joffrey paid and gave whatever knife he found to some rando to kill Bran after he heard Bobby B say that Bran would be better off dead than crippled.

Here's how the Game of Thrones should've ended:
1. In the north Sansa, Jon & Dani are ready to face the Night King shows up, They have their war. similar to what happened in the show but more sensible strategies.
- Brianne gets seriously injured but not killed, no getting swarmed & then come out uninjured.
- Snows bum rush of the Night King actual leads to them fighting before one of the Night King's generals replaces the Night King in the fight & he flies off on his dragon. Snow defeats the ice general
- When the Knight king flies away all of the zombies are frozen in place & the Dothraky & the Unsullied have fun sticking Dragon glass in them. The Night King & his dragon survives
-Now They prepare to go south to King's Landing. They come across Euron's navy as in the show but it's at night (makes more sense) One of the Dragon's sniff out the ships & heads for the ships. Euron is waiting to see a puff of dragon fire before he shoots. He sees the dragon fire start (in slow motion, He fires several shots from several ships at the dragon killing it, but the dragon fire still hits his ship & the dragon crashes into Euron's ship killing him at sea (where he's supposed to die).
* Baelish escaped that silly trial Sansa tried to give him by using a faceless man in his place. When Baelish told Sansa that he had heard of the faceless men, that meant he knew everything about the faceless men & had a plan to use them.
2.. In Kings Landing Baelish escaped from Sansa & went to King's Landing. He convinces Cersi to marry him so her force & the Vail can join forces, She of course hates the idea but goes along with it. Te kid thats the king of the Vail is murdered by Baelish as he's promising Cersi that he won't be a problem.
- Jamie leaves the north like he did in the show but he brings injured Brianne with him to get hwr better medical care in a warmer climate.
- when Jamie arrives he's told that Little Finger & Cersi will be getting married the next day. Jamie is pissed off. He tries to see Cersi but she won't see him & the King's Guard is keeping him away.
- The next day Baelish is crowned king & when he sits on the iron throne Jamie comes out of know where & slays him.
- Jamie is now trapped & has to fight the King;s Guard. He puts up a great one-handed fight before he's killed by a semi-recovered Brienne who sneaks up on him, (the scene looks like she's gonna help him, but she doesn't)
- During the chaos Cersi tries to sneak away with The Mountain guarding her.
- Cersi & the Mountain run into Arya & the Hound. The Hound & the Mountain start to fight immediately & Arya handles Cersi by herself . Arya easily kills Cersi after Cersi says some final words that Arya ignores.
- The Hound & the Mountain die a fiery death, like in the show.
3. Dani & Snow arrive in King's Landing with their army & their last dragon, only to find the King & Queen already dead.
- Dani prepares to take charge of things, but Varys tells her that Jon Snow is a Targareyan & that he's the true king.
- Dani is of course super pissed & she confronts Snow. He admits it & she loses it. He says he doesn't want to be king, she calls bullshit & says the war is on. Snow convinces the Unsullied to side with him & the Dothraky sides with Dani
- Dani asks Tyrion if he knew of this treachery & he says "yes I knew".
- Dani has the dragon cook Tyrion for treason & now she wants Varys, but she can't find him. Now she's completely pissed off & starts having everyone killed who says they don't know where he is.
- she mounts her dragon & goes looking for him from the sky. Now everyone looks like Varys so she starts laying waste to the whole city
- she finally lands & Snow sneaks into the castle, like in the show. A similar interaction occurs but instead of Snow killing her, she kills him & then realizes that she went crazy, & saying "what have I done" who;e screening & crying & kills herself (just like Momma Stark killed herself).
- The pissed off dragon destroys the entire castle, not just the throne & flies off.
4. Varys is elected king after a similar meeting like in the show, but Sansa is running the meeting instead of Tyrion.
- Bran is named Hand & the other small council members are the same just with different positions.
- Brienne still adds Jamie to the book of knights. THE END
YES! Another Littlefinger fan, I rarely see those.
Huh? We are everywhere lol
I dunno. I feel like little finger got what he deserved and I feel the timing was fine. No character was cut so abruptly and short as Varys IMO. There were plenty more I wanted to see more of like Gendry and Aemon, but they like many served their purpose. They really did a disservice by not telling more of brans powers and the mad king and the night king.
yeah I didn't mind his death considering he sold off sansa to the worst family and everyone else discovered his motives. At that point it would have been dumb to kept him alive. Maybe the show didn't do justice to his character in the books but in the context of what was happening in the show it made sense.
I think his story is somewhat similar to Basil I the Macedonian who through marriages and friendship was able to rise to Byzantine Emperor from peasant. Granted Little Finger came from a noble albeit small house
3:00
His mother's name was Alayne.
He looks like a little finger puppet, awesome
If we’re going with the analogy that ASOIAF is based on the wars of the roses then little finger, a minor noble from the part of the map that corresponds with wales, should win
Love your videos
I would be shocked if RR killed off Littlefinger in the next book. He's far too powerful and poses such an underrated threat. I think he could honestly make a play for King's Landing if Cersei succeeds with her plan to take out King's Landing and the Faith Militant, mostly because I doubt she will survive it; either it will backfire and she'll get caught in the flames, the Tyrell's will back the Faith and take her out or Jaime will be forced to kill her to save the city again. In all 3 of those scenarios, the Lannister's would be effectively destroyed and the other houses either don't know to fear him or foolishly trust him, meaning they would likely have him serve at a higher rank, maybe even as Hand due to his experience.
I always thought it was Liudolfinger, but I've never read the books.
I wasn’t watchin mg the screen at 7:57 half asleep, I thought it was a Littlefinger talking action figure
I need to read this book
1:45 For a real medieval castle 3 floors were quite a lot. Most castles really werent that big.
GRR Martin made all castles several orders of magnitude bigger in the books (like Casterly rock, winterfell, red keep...) so what would normally be big in real medieval times is pretty small in that universe.

I always wanted Petyr to marry Daenerys. He wanted to be the most powerful man in the world and marry the most beautiful and more importantly, highest status woman in the world. Who better than Daenerys to marry? She would have won the Iron Throne with his help to broker all the alliances and use his wits, and he would have known how to use her incredible charisma to both their advantage. She never understood her effects on men, and she trusted the wrong advisers. They wouldn't have to be in love, but they would have made a winning match. And I think they would have had at least a fabulous obsession. But no, she falls for stupid Jon Snow. Literally will never forget Littlefinger's death. You know when people ask "where were you when so and so passed or what where you doing?" I was working abroad and managed to stream the ep and I remember turning to my S/O at the time and being like wtaf? Like watching him beg before Sansa felt poetic but it was completely unearned and to have it be that smug little shit Arya to have the killing blow....ugh. I hate how they basically made Arya the D'vorah of GoT, a really interesting character but let's just have her kill EVERYONE.
Sorry didn't mean for the rant, apparently this show still occupies my mind and I'm not over its "ending".
If Westeros was real & I could pick anywhere in the Seven Kingdoms to live, I would definitely pick the Fingers bc it's probably the most chill, quiet, peaceful place & it's right on the Narrow Sea. The only thing to worry about would be the kraken that was spotted off the coast of the Fingers but I would be perfectly content with House Baelish lol. But the Fingers are one of the coolest places in the Seven Kingdoms in my opinion & it would be the perfect place for Sansa to hide from all the dangerous people who are currently looking for her.
Lol with respect, screw the fingers. Head for the Reach. The people there have the mildest winters and the largest quantities of food.
Edmure was supposed to be a big guy with red hair and a beard ... and they cast the plainest looking dude to play him for some reason. One of a few questionable casting choices GOT made.
Hey bro will there be another show continuing game of thrones or something like this couz yet we know so many questions left unanswered can you please tell us if there is going to be a continuation of the series in anyway 🤔
No bud, there has never been a show in history to be a sequel of another show, so the answer is quite obvious. What we have is the book series, so apart from reading the books you're not gonna know the end of the story. (The original story)
Only prequels for now
Little Finger origin series???
