For the past 15 years I have a habit of reading manga during my 'morning toilet business'. Bakuman is my to-go for the past 1 year, sitting in a special drawer on my toilet. I admire a lot of mangaka but Bakuman really inspire me of what is hard work is -- it gave me enough fuel to go for the day. Thank you for making this video.
One thing I really like and respect with Tsugumi Oba and Takeshi Obata is that they keep things short, at least for Death Note, which was a masterpiece in 13 books. No need of more nor less. Contrasting to other iconic Mangakas, who, pushed by a consumption industry keep on creating endless stories...
As per usual, the mangaka series video takes *way way way longer than I thought.* But we made it in the end!🙌🙌🙌 Clarification; Takeshi Obata is the illustrator for all the work but some works like death note and hikaru no go, he is paired with an author like Tsugumi and Yumi. I use the word 'Author' is mostly for search purpose in youtube as most people would search author instead of illustrator. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.
After reading Death Note and Bakuman I fell in love with Obata's artwork, so I wanted to find out more about him and so I clicked to yh otaku. His journey hit me in so many waves and I was astounded and I cried in the end just like Ino Takei's video. Fantastic job on making awesome videos on you-tube man you are awesome.
Man, I didn't really know that Obata sensei has been in the industry for more many years and most of it, he was struggling to produce a hit. Now thinking about it, his art looks sooo good is because he quote from the Bakuman manga, practices hundred pages a day! Even people with absolutely no talent, Obata sensei has don't get me wrong, can succeed with endeavor and persistence. Look at Van Gogh, his early art might not be great but with time he became a legend. Great job!

Obata's experience with people doing dumb stuff "because of" death note reminds me of the part of the bakuman manga where Hattori says that PCP cant be an anime because kids are attempting "crimes" and getting in trouble. if you know that something is wrong to do dont fricking do it, its called fiction for a reason, you watch fiction stuff cause doing it irl is dangerous or illegal. i watched rent a girlfriend, am i going to rent a girlfriend, no, could i, yes. i watched masamune-kun's revenge, am i going to dedicate my entire life to getting revenge on a girl that turned me down, no. the same goes for video games. i know people who say that FORTNITE makes you violent, because its and fps shooter game. the fact that people think i cant judge reality from fiction is just hurtful. video games dont make you violent, and anime doesn't make you do dumb crap its that simple

idk why but i have this crazy theory that takeshi obata , the illustrator and tsugumi obha , the writer are the same person considering we don’t know too much about any of their lives, which would be somewhat difficult to do regarding how popular death note is, as well as how similar their names sound … i mean what the odds ? he probably wrote and illustrated his works being one person portrayed as two to avoid the media and press , etc . he was smart enough to write death note so i wouldn’t doubt him, or even her since their genders aren’t revealed directly , to have came up with aliases .

It's just my opinion as an anime fan. Why don't u try "Mahabharat" for anime. It contains so many things . The plot is very epic ,awesome ,lengendary and very deep meaning . If it become anime series , there are lot of people to watch it. 😊😊. It's just my personal opinion. I hope u don't take it wrong. Because if u read "Mahabharat " -Japanese translated , u will understand it. Because it has extraordinary, epic, story plot. It contains love, romance, war, tragedy, faith, freedom, justice, evil, good, etc a lot more. 🙂🙂 . It has great characters, some of them are karna,Arjuna , bheeema,krishna.....(karna and arjuna which are already seen in "fate" Anime series ). If u don't mind just try it....
