I played my seventh game of basketball ever a couple of days ago as a 28-year-old. I played great defense until they started setting screens and I ran into every single one of them.
I was going to give up on the sport but this video is saving me and making me realize that defense is about communication and awareness
if you can match speed and footwork with the offensive player, ice them screens! Mainly if they are a good shooter and/or your team is not capable of switching on to them.
