This is great! We love the no middle defense at waconia B6White. Holding teams to under 15 a game. These are great to refresh the the principles with new drills.
Thanks for this. Very applicable simple drill. May I ask, why you would choose x-out over stunt and recover. Is the x more physical and for older kids. Or would you tell your kids to mix it, ie if too much separation, then call X otherwise stunt recover.
Great question. On the ball side, players should stunt and recover if the ball is going towards the corner, since you are okay with that pass. If the stunt doesn't stop the drive, then the low player should help and the x "man" would be responsible for the first pass to the weak side. I hope that's what you were referring to - if not, please lmk.
I greatly appreciate the drills. As much as we as coaches talk about no middle sometimes it's hard for those kids to instinctively do it
I'm glad you find the drills helpful!
I have my MS girls team run this defense and we've been pretty successful with it. These are great drills. We're going to hit this today!

That's awesome to hear! I'm glad you're having success with the no-middle defense.
Great stuff Coach! Can we get some drills we can do with only one coach in the gym?
Thank you! I may not be understanding you as in these video it's just Coach LoGalbo coaching. . . if you mean something else lmk and I'll try to help
This is awesome, my only question is X man rotations can you please explain ?
The X man is the low defender on the weak side who will come across to help on a baseline drive. . . does that help?
@@BreakthroughBBall Yes thanks
