Bro your content is proving me with knowledge about cars in general about also my own JGCL. For the last two days I’ve been looking at people keeps trying to understand what I’m looking bc I want mines to be just as sexy as theirs. Your content is saving me time and money and a headache. I didn’t even know what a spacer was! Thank you bro. I’m a new sub and can’t wait to see what you do next. Thank you again brother.
I greatly appreciate it and I’m glad you get something out of the videos. Thanks for watching!
As a former tire technician, it angers me to no end that engineers of many different vehicle set the front end suspension up like that, with the spindle arm hanging over the tire. Not only does is make a lot of wheel / tire upgrades near impossible, but the component is also prone to breakage, when doing anything other than driving under 15mph off-road.
I agree 100%, it has surprised me how many vehicles are setup just like this! Thanks for watching!
What can be done about this? Is there a solution? Because that sux , big time.
@@studiowishbone There sure is a solution! - Wheels with a more negative offset, coupled with quality wheel spacers. Then your tires stick out like skateboard wheels (which I really DON'T like that look on a lot of different vehicles, IF those vehicles run low-profile tires).
There are also ways to reinforce the spindle and some even offer beefier aftermarket ones or components that weld-on to make them beefier. - For the '23 Grand Cherokee though, I wouldn't know?
I think that is probably engineered on purpose for this very reason. The EPA has a pretty tight grip on auto manufactures' balls.
I’m running rough county’s 1” level kit and 275/55/20 nitto ridge grappler with zero issues and looks amazing
Thanks for the info! I bet it looks great!
@@GodspeedZRZ I wish I can add a pic to show everyone lol
With no lift you should look at the 275/65R18. You need 18” wheels minimum to clear the calipers. Tire will be a 32”x11”.
Yeah for just the difference of 275s I don’t even know if it would be worth it?
You’re smart you’ll find a way.
Eventually
Those 32.3” tires look good on there! 👌
I like the look of those too!
Keep in mind that those 33" tires don't have much tread left. Even with the spacers brand new tires with full tread may not fit. Definite trimming with spacers.
Agreed, trimming is defiantly needed to clear correctly!
WL’s are the same as the WK2 if you’re going over a 265 or some to 270s you wanna +30 offset on 18” rims to clear the front brakes.
Yeah, they still wouldn’t take the 315s “35s” sure would be cool if it did though!
18” wrangler rims fit the WK2 Grand Cherokees with the HD brakes. I just traded my ‘14 GC for a ‘22 GC trail hawk 4xe and the brakes look like the same HD brakes. I haven’t tried my wrangler rims on it but they are .2” smaller than your 32.3” tire so it should fit and I also have air ride so I can just raise it up when I need to turn lol wish this video was made when I was looking into adding wrangler rims/tires
Thank you for the info! Thanks for watching!
The 27 in. Tires look great on the Grand Cherokee and the original wheels are awesome!
😂😂 don’t listen to him they are 30 inches haha
Leave that thing alone. You need one good dependable vehicle. Besides 27 inch tires look good.
Haha you just get jealous of a big grand Cherokee!
Hey, I love your video. It's the best I've seen so far on showing exactly how the combos affect poke and clearance. I'm wondering if you've continued trying any other combinations? I have a 2024 GC Trailhawk 4Xe. I just wanted to bump up to 265/65r18 on the factory 18" wheels, but thought I should plan on spacers to clear that upper control arm even at this minor increase in size. Do you think just .5 or maybe even 1" would be enough to fit 265/65 KO2 or the new Wildpeak AT/4W? Maybe you've found a perfect combo just a bit bigger?
I think the 1'' should be perfect for the 265/65r18 I have since sold this one and moved onto other vehicles but I did not try anything else after this.
If I remember correctly, because of the engine size and braking power needed, 18in wheels are the smallest you could do for wheel size m
Depends on what breaks you have but basically.
You can fit 17 on there I did it to mine on my 14 wk2 with the big brakes I run a 1.5 inch spacer with it and it clears the rotor
Just found your channel and I love this series.
Do you think putting 31"s instead of 33"s would solve the clearing issues?
This is a mod I'm thinking of doing and your experiments are a great help.
You could get away with 31" it's just not enough of a difference for me to justify. Thanks for watching!
Did you ever make them fit bro? Great vids by the way
No sir, couldn’t find a solution other than a sawzaw 😅
You doing Gods Work ! 🤝🤝🏆🏆
Thank you for watching!
Damn, now I got to go get a Cherokee 😅. I think a heat gun would push in the inner plastic
I think I’m gonna have to get creative with zip ties on this one. They are carpet now haha Thanks for watching!
I tried some 18 inch wrangler rims also with spacers and they wouldn’t fit. The factory rims have to be a wider offset
Glad to know that, wish it would have worked!
Love this channel , I have a trailhawk with 265/65/18 from the factory, looks aggressive but would like them flush with the fender or a little poke. You think ill run into any issues with these spacers? Its on air suspension also
Old body style I think you can get away with it, on the new one it would be a close call. Thanks for watching!
@@GodspeedZRZ it is the new one, they only made the trailhawk WL “non 4xe” for one year
I wish I knew how to do stuff like this
You can definitely learn, just takes a few good mistakes to really get an idea of what you’re doing haha
I have the overland with air suspension wonder how they would work (spacers and tire) in libel 3 lifted mode in goes into sport mode (level 2) only when going fast so not much turning.
You will still run into the same issue for clearance unfortunately
Hey guy I think it's a go you'll get it !!!!
One way or another haha thanks for watching!
Did you take a look at the 23 sema WL 4xe. I cannot get in info on the tires setup, they used some custom trimmed fender liners.
Yes I did, I can't exactly remember but they did full custom fenders and larger spacers and wheels with decent offset to make it all work!
Wonder how the 18 inch wheels from the Trailhawk version would work?
They should work just fine but not with a 35in tire in the front
Could you please share a link from amazon , which spacers will work for gran cherokee limited 2024
They should be in the description of this video!
Thanks you so much for the video
Thank you for watching!
my 2023 jgcl summit reserve has 21 inch wheels i wonder how they would look with the spacers can you do a video where you put the spacers on all 4 wheels with the factory wheels really would like to see how it looks also wonder if there would be any problems with the air suspension
You would be just fine with 1 inch spacers and you would have just the right stance! I just don’t like the spacer look with stock tires. Thanks for watching!
Perfect 👍🏼 perfect 👍🏼
🔥🔥
I want some big tires for my Cherokee!!!!!!
Now that would look good! Gonna have to get Randy on that haha
What is the 17inch rim brand in this video can you share?
It is made by Jeep. It is the OEM wheel from my Jeep Rubicon 392. Merry Christmas!
Dude where did you jack up the car? It has so many covers underneath. On the pinch weld? Any adapter?
There are certain sections under there you can jack the car up from just have to look carefully!
@@GodspeedZRZ near the cross bar?
Maybe a bigger offset wheel
Couldn't go out any farther because they would hit the the fender well its self.
@@GodspeedZRZdo u know if 285 could work on an 18 inch wheel by chance
Damn Zac you are just to determined to find away for biggie wheels/tires 😂 I don’t think the grand Cherokee was designed in mine for biggie tires I’m afraid 😟 lol. How do you know to work that tires machine?? You work it like you used to work at discount tire lol , or did YOU 🤔
😂😂 I can’t help but try to do what they say you can’t! As for the changing tires before I had a garage and all the equipment I use to do most of my stuff at the dealership I worked at so I got familiar with all the equipment pretty quick haha
@@GodspeedZRZ YOUR SO SMART 😝👍 lol
Not smart just observant 😅😂
What are your thoughts on the 4xe
Not a fan, I don't like the 2.0t.
@@GodspeedZRZ
Thank you
Hi, does that mean 285 55 R20 would fit on stock rims and run without any issues at all? I'm thinking to put 265 55 R20 on it, got exact same Grand Cherokee.
No the 285 will have some issues, especially brand new. I think 275s would be as wide as you can clear comfortably. Thanks for watching!
@@GodspeedZRZ 265 55 R20 should be find right? The sidewall is just slightly bigger. Thanks!
I wanna get 285/70/17 on my jeep grand Cherokee 2015
That will probably be too big however the last body style does give you a bit more room!
The non hemi have smaller brakes you only need to switch the brackets and rotor
I was trying to find a way to message you. Have you driven a Kia Stinger with the JB4 Tune in it?
I sure haven’t, how is it?? You can always message me on Instagram my username is Godspeed ZRZ!
22 inch rim’s would be much cleaner on that vehicle
To each their own, I’m not a fan of 22s until you are on a 44in tire or bigger
would it clear with the rough country 2.5 lift kid???
Not unless you changed the upper control arm. Even with that you would have to do a lot of trimming. Thanks for watching!
Hello there. I came across your video and wanted to ask a few questions. I have a 2024 Jeep GC 4xe. I have the black 20in rims from factory and I upgraded my tires to All terrains in 265/50/20 (which is the same size as original) I have some clearance issue with the fronts only as the brake caliper is too close to conform to the wheel. I need a very minimum clearance. What kind of spacers do you recommend since you have the same jeep and I wanted an exact fitment for my jeep. Thanks in advance.
A 1.5 in spacer should do the trick!
The big tires won’t fit that big problem. Shot be fit 17 inches tires.
You can see it all if you watch the whole video, thanks for watching!
Are these 20 inch rims on the 33’s?
I’m not sure which part but the black wheels are 20s and the 392 wheels are 17s
@@GodspeedZRZ so the black wheels had 33 inch tires/20
@josephmartinez8762 yes sir
No man. U need lift it up
You are right!
