Emily, I absolutely love how you talk about what you like and don’t like, without sounding condescending or disapproving. It takes massive amounts of confidence and empathy, and it is just one of the many things I admire about you.
I really appreciate that you show a variety of body types in your inspo pics, would love to see more of that from you and other style content creators.
The tailored trouser tucked into knee highs gives me turn of the century lady adventurer vibes. I think it could be really fun with a more structured boot. And maybe a bandolier bag!
I like wearing over the knee boots with skinny jeans for the extra warmth during our harsh Canadian weather. Like you, I'm not a fan of wearing thigh-high boots with jeans though, especially for us petite ladies with shorter legs, it almost makes me look like I'm wearing another pair of pants over my jeans.
Absolutely love your brown dress with the flowers. Such a perfect fall dress. I’ve been binge watching your videos today. Love your style and how you explain things. 💕
Hi Emily, whether it’s knee-high or over the knee boots (low heel) I like wearing a heavy knit black legging with a cashmere jumper or cardigan on top or long vest over a turtleneck (roll neck ) . It gives a nice continuous line and it keeps me warm!! 🇨🇦 I too am not thrilled with the style of trousers tucked in a skinny knee-high boot.
I absolutely love over the knee boots over jeans, especially suede ones, and boots with tailored trousers, not on those pictures you showed but seen some on Lydia Millen and Laura Blair and remind me Milady from Three Musketeers or style like seen in those era.... but absolutely agree with You about that ridiculous Jaquemus bag!!!
Emily you’re absolutely right! I like it x I want it x I need it are completely different. The sad thing is that being conscious about it makes me feel anxious about the amount of clothing that I have and love but don’t need. 🤣 Everything can be a process, right! And people can have different reactions when it comes to consumption. 🤦♀️ Love your channel! 🥰
I currently have 5 pairs of knee high boots (3 of them in regular rotation in winter) and just love them! I do wear short boots as well. I can see that you have the same problem as me where you're swimming in your boots, although this is not noticeable under skirts and dresses. I have been able to find a shop in Adelaide that curates a line of narrower calf boots that are a better fit. Thanks for the inspiration Emily! Cheers, xx
I will have to agree, I like the mini dresses with knee high boots. My favorite way to wear knee high boots with jeans. The skinny jean works best and boots should be below the knee.
I too love knee high boots with skirts/dresses. My 2nd option would be the trousers. I just love the vintage, dramatic vibe of trousers with knee high boots. I prefer it over the all tight look of skinny jeans and boots combo which is too revealing and uncomfortable for my taste.
I love seeing the combination of knee high boots with skirts and dresses too, but my boots have a flat heel and it doesn't quite seem to work? Love your content - real hands-on styling help and great sustainable ethos.
She had got her fancy boots on Combining them with her fashion Being careful to try boots on before Buying them by putting them on Her bare feet at the boot store then Wearing them out and showing them
I agree wearing boots over trousers denim or not, looks ugly. That's so 90's trend that I hate it back then besides I'm short leg to dare to wear them as a trend. Also love midi dress or skirts. Also love cats😸 My knew high boots are from 20 years ago. Always buy very sostainable clothes, to last for a long time
Knee high boots are so feminine because when worn with short full high waist skirts , the fact that they stop short of the knee emphasizes the necessity for the wearer to feel open below. This is the same reason I'm against leggings under skirts as they don't feel as feminine. Skirts are designed for us to feel feminine. Let's embrace that and let the boys wear the pants

The latest “equestrian look” lends itself really well to flat-heeled knee-high boots. Just google “equestrian street style” for inspiration.
