Very interesting tutorial! Love how you hold and execute your pick hand. Can you pls show us how you hold and slant your pick to play as clean as that.
@@jacksnax4guitar460 thanks for the tip! You've earned a subscriber! I think I suffer from some kind of ADHD so I find it difficult to stay on task during practice. I enjoy noodling and playing the same junk over and over again. Cheers!
@@alexchng well…just play NEW stuff over and over! Then learn another new thing and play that over and over. I’m kind of nutty about this stuff too…I’ll run a line over and over again until it’s perfect. Then forget it and bring it out when it’s time.
It’s a harmonic. The side of my thumb hit the D string immediately following the pick and the string sounds an octave, or another overtone higher...depending on where you pick relative to the fretted note. Also called a pinch harmonic... Thanks for checking the lesson out, I hope you’ll subscribe and come back often! Jack

Sounding great as always, Jack.
Eric has made a 40 year career with this 1 lick
Took me a few minutes to realize you were referring to rotating your right hand. Makes sense. Great sound and playing.
Yep…that’s a big part of this speedy style. Knowing the pickstroke will be the same for the duration of the line enables you to go much faster.
Best video I have seen on this subject
Thanks for the kind words! I hope you’ll take a minute to check out the other videos on the channel. Please sub if like what you see😊👍
Pretty darn clean man. Nice job.
outstanding video!!!!!!

You’re welcome! Thanks for the feedback...there’s a part 2 to this lesson as well.
Thank you, this is a really helpful lesson. Your playing is so clear and articulate.
Thanks for the kind words! Playing slow and smooth is the key to clean technique. Take it easy until it’s super smooth.
That intro was killer dude, got a new subscriber ✌️
Thanks Mick!
I really appreciate that😊✌️
Such clean technique. Magnificent playing. I can only hope to be half as good with twice the practice
Play it slow and perfect for a LONG time

Love this video and lesson. Great playing as well. Please tell me what Brand of delay are you using? Thanks Jack,.
It’s just the onboard delay in the Kemper
Probably a simulation of an echoplex
@@jacksnax4guitar460. Thank you.
Jack, just youtube stumbled onto your lessons. Great stuff. Do you do Zoom lessons?
Yes I do!

Just shoot me and email and we’ll discuss.
Cool staff .. You should teach the whole intro!
great tone! What Kemper profile are you using?
That’s the Victory profile that comes with the unit. I think it’s patterned off “The Earl”

Hey Jack, thanks for the lesson, very clarifying. Great playing and fantastic tone. Just your voice is little too quiet in comparison to the guitar...
I agree! This was done before I figured out how to get the balance right. I appreciate the feedback!
@@jacksnax4guitar460 hey Jack, I think you talked about this before but I am new to channel... so how do you get that amazing singing tone?
@@alextaylor9186 Hey!!! I’m not sure how to answer that. Best answer is 100s maybe 1000s of hours in the chair practicing.
@@jacksnax4guitar460 thanks but I meant😆 which gear do you use and how do you record it? microphone to amp or direct in computer with plugins

What kind of strings do you use? I’m curious what type and if your action is low or high
Hi! I use EB slinkys on my strays and Gibsons. Or super slinkys on my Tele and shreddy guitars. Medium action… not super low at all.
I wish my bends were half as good.
Thanks👍✌️🎸
Nice. i am having such a hard time getting speed. ugg
