I love thi Cat in the Hat ride for when you need a little break from the heat or when it’s raining its very cool inside and never long waits so its a chillen ride to take a little break on.
Honorable mention: The window crashing on Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios. That thing is incredibly loud and always catches you off guard. And the low-quality amplified speakers add on to the sound. That sound always catches me by surprise and makes me flinch to this day
I actually don't find the window crashing on Tower of Terror to be incredibly loud at all. Maybe that is because I know that it is coming and I have walked under Superman: Escape From Krypton at Six Flags Magic Mountain so many times (honestly, the launch on that coaster is actually loud enough to shatter glass) 🤷🏼♀️
@@skunkman9815 not really. The Pixar Pal-A-Round ferris wheel at California Adventure is more of a death machine than Tower of Terror. Honestly, one ride in the swinging gondolas on Pixar Pal-A-Round and you will see why it has earned the nickname of Mickey's Death Wheel (for context: the ride operated under the name Mickey's Fun Wheel from 2009 to 2018 and it has a giant Mickey face plastered to both sides of the structure).
The Hungarian Horntail jumpscare really got me the first time I rode it because up until that point everything is portrayed on screens, I was definitely not expecting a giant dragon animatronic to show up in my face!
@@KaijuForceNeo funny story about that, my uncle was on the ride once and it broke down at the part where one of the spiders spray water at your face so he was just stuck there while one of the spiders just sprayed water at him for like 10 minutes lol
When I went on this ride, The Horntail didn’t scare me, the Dementor did. Each time I rode it, I purposely sat in the same seat because my brothers would die laughing because I would curse out the Dementor, my dad even told me My screaming made it more enjoyable.
Same here! Also, I may be the only one, but I honestly did not like it whenever the ride would lean back. I honestly thought that I was going to fall off when that would happen.
The test track one reminded me of a section of Disney land's Radiator Springs Racers, I remember going into a cave during the ride and then Mack all of the sudden showed up and was right infront of the ride vehicle, scared me as a kid
I can distinctly remember the angler fish jumpscares making me and my little brother (aged: 5 and 3) burst out into tears since we were so close to the windows. Other riders were not impressed lol.
I'm SO glad you put the clock dragon from Knoebels on here! I remember that thing scaring the crap out of me during my first time riding, and since then, I know to not look in its direction or close my eyes when passing it. Also, I give a massive middle finger to the Aragog animatronic and the entirety of that scene! I have really bad arachnophobia, and the sight of all the spiders made me scream so loud that my throat hurt. Thankfully during my second time on the ride this past summer, I knew to close my eyes at that part.
The Hungarian Horntail on Forbidden Journey didn't make me jump but the spiders and Dementors certainly did. I yelped when Aragog appeared in a flash of light as I didn't expect to see him so close. When it came to the Dementors, I actually screamed when one of them lunged towards me out of the darkness like a towering figure of death. I can still remember coming off the ride shaking lol.
There's one part of Journey Into Imagination With Figment that scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. It's the part where figment says "Imagination is a blast" and then there's a sudden hiss of air.

The lightning strike on Journey to the Center of the Earth at Tokyo DisneySea is very frightening because it's so real that it's the most scariest jumpscare I have ever experienced.
If you want to experience Test Track's original jump scare, just ride Radiator Springs Racers at California Adventure. Mack comes out of nowhere with that loud honk of his.

2:53 The Duck has actually returned after all this time as a broken old toy in the Attic of the 'Curse at Alton Manor' Dark ride. It's pretty cool seeing it again where it truly belongs; in a horror ride.
One jumpscare that got completely robbed due to it not being on this list is the train horn at the end of Terroride at Lagoon. It’s probably the one jumpscare on that ride that still manages to get me, even when I can see the headlights in the dark. It was such an effective scare that when they did a complete remodel of the ride, they kept it in at the end! Though the ride does have another great jumpscare they added in the new version, there’s a part where you’re going down a dark hallway when all the sudden the lights come on and your vehicle is going towards a bunch of spikes, turns out that it’s only a door to the next scene, but I remember how badly that scared me when I first rode the remodel!
I thought that ride was so-so. I was 10 or something and my grandpa and I waited in line for about 20 minutes, and the ride itself was pretty underwhelming. The train did give me a good scare, though.
"Imagine being a kid and seeing those scary anglerfish" Dont have to imagine on that one, the anglerfish jumpscare got me good when I was a kid 🤣 I leaned forward to look at the lights and BAM lovecraftian horror
My favourite was in the Gold Coast, QLD Ripleys Believe it or Not museum. You didn't even get on a ride. You wound through a section dealing with Death, and walked out onto a small balcony in a small diorama display of old buildings where you would read the story of a certain "bad person" from history, and then the balcony would drop around 4-5 inches after a loud creaking noise. Sounds like almost nothing, but the girls who went in there after me almost screamed their lungs inside-out. Not to mention the clear tile in the floor over a dark shaft which lights up to reveal a monster inside, climbing up to get you, with a loud horn sound, for some reason.
aren't the anglerfish like 10 ft tall too? i remember seeing a photo of a staff cleaning it and it dwarfed them, unless that was a different statue elsewhere?
There's also an anglerfish scene on The Seas with Nemo and Friends at Epcot. That moment is a pretty decent jumpscare as well because the rest of that ride is so gentle and slow.
I remember being a kid and seeing the angler fish on the Finding Nemo submarines. 😂 I thought it was just me at first when the lights flashed again and I was more interested in wanting a better look at them than I was actually scared.
I love your channel I have been watching it for years! I always get so excited when I’ve been the places! I went to the #1 ride on this twice! Each time that scare got me
Yeah that Clock Dragon at Knoebels is a pretty good jump scare, but tame when compared to the truck after you leave the cemetery. That carnotaurus finale still gets me even when I know it's coming.
That Dinosaur ride traumatized me as a child to the point where it was completely wiped from my mind. Few years after that I got on the ride again not knowing what ride it was until I was strapped in and the trauma started all over again 🥲

My first Disney trip in 1997, my grandma told my parents that both Snow White and the Haunted Mansion would be too scary for me. I religiously watched ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK at the time, so I doubt it. Never got to experience Snow White. Went to Disney World for my honeymoon in 2020. My husband had never gone to Animal Kingdom. I deliberately did not tell him about the Carnotaurus. Wish I had bought the on-ride photo because his reaction was hysterical.
Ive only been on the forbidden journey once. I went on with my dad and brother. From hagrids line i had my eyes closed. And guess when i opened them, right in front of agragog...im highly afraid of spiders

I've found the Dragon, spiders, and dementors to be all scary. XD And at the ripe old age of 32 and having been to Disney world 3 or 4 times, I still can't go through the whole dinosaur ride with my eyes open. 😅🤣
Just today I went on Cat in the Hate ride at IOA and we were screaming the entire time. We were legit horrified. It was hilarious and scary at the same time. I remember when Thing 1 and 2 walked out we screamed super loudly. They literally stopped the ride because they thought we were dying. 😭
I only rode Dinosaur once as a kid and the whole ride overall is scary. The carnotaurus was by far one of the scariest animatronics I've ever seen on any dark ride. Simply put, Dinosaur is only for the brave!
The Dinosaur Ride thus far is my favorite dark ride to date. The Carnotaurus absolutely scared the mess out of me when I was younger, and I even knew it was coming too! Carnotaurus is also now my favorite dinosaur, so yeah. thats great! But that ride is amazing in everyway. I especially love how realistic the asteroid landing is.
Another jump scare moment that I can think of that is similar to Test Track. On Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man ride at Islands of Adventure, you nearly have a head on collision with an animatronic garbage truck before swerving into the next scene.
I remember being genuinely shaken after the dinosaur barges at your vehicle, he picture after was me looking shocked crouching down, everybody had a good laugh that day
One that always gets me is the one at the end of Monster Mansion at SFOG. They’ve had this horn that blasts at the end for ages, but they recently changed it and added a SECOND even louder noise after. So unnecessary 😅
I miss that Duck! The first time I rode on the rethemed flume at Alton Towers I had no idea it was going to be there. But after the jumpscare happened, I couldn't stop laughing at the fact it was such a hilarious silly thing. The Quacks still live in my head rent free.
The Carnosaurus scared the life out of me and my brother as a child, we were literally crying through all of the ride everyone looked at my parents funny because we were so little. the ride used to be way more scary but still lives up to the hype today
The original mode of the big yeti in Expedition Everest probably should be here, though it only worked for a few months and relatively few ever got to see it.
Just a small correction: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea never opened in Disneyland, that was the one that opened in Walt Disney World, the Disneyland version was known as Submarine Voyage when it first opened
The Carnotaur jumpscare definitely gives me the reworked Jurassic World ride, it used to be T Rex back when I went, but now its Indominus Rex jumpscare. Twas a good one.
Having been on every ride on this list - I have to say that the Rubber Ducky scared me the most!! Everyone told us to ride, but never said why. I wanted to punch that stupid thing!!!!
Yes, that giant spider and dinosaur had me yelping while watching this video! There happens to be a classic jump scare in the defunct dark ride Gold Rusher at Kennywood. On your right side, the light shows a woman being attacked by a giant spider, and just before the scene is over, an even larger spider descends upon you from the ceiling! While this instant might not be as prolonged as the spider from the Harry Potter ride, its movement and positioning totally make up for it!
Happy Halloween everyone!!! 🎃👻🍬🍫

Honestly I love the cat in that hat at ioa, it has that old dark ride charm to it but sadly it’s showing it’s age :(
Dude you should of included the explosives on Monster Mansion At Six Flags Over Georgia.
Another jump scare moment that I can think of that is similar to Test Track. On Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man ride at Islands of Adventure, you nearly have a head on collision with an animatronic garbage truck before swerving into the next scene.
I agree, although the thing that scared me the most on that ride was being in line and walking through a door only to find yet another snake line lol.
the truck at Test Track scared me so much i actually refused to go on the attraction for so many years
I remember being genuinely shaken after the dinosaur barges at your vehicle, he picture after was me looking shocked crouching down, everybody had a good laugh that day
I went to Disney paris last month and went on the snow White ride.
When the evil queen turned around at the mirror I was impressed.
Good work there 👏
DINOSAUR is my favorite ride, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone talk about it. I’m too happy right now 😂
That Yellow Duck on the Flame scared the hell out of me with the few times I rode it. The loud quack effects. Yeesh.
Video idea: the evolution of roller coaster airtime hills 🎢🎢🎢
The duck is back...on the Curse.
The rubber duck is amazing 😂
The Carnosaurus scared the life out of me and my brother as a child, we were literally crying through all of the ride everyone looked at my parents funny because we were so little. the ride used to be way more scary but still lives up to the hype today
The original mode of the big yeti in Expedition Everest probably should be here, though it only worked for a few months and relatively few ever got to see it.
You didn’t mention the t-Rex by the big drop on Jurassic park river adventure
The Knobels haunted mansion has a couple of really good jump scares, but that dragon is always gonna be my favorite
Just a small correction: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea never opened in Disneyland, that was the one that opened in Walt Disney World, the Disneyland version was known as Submarine Voyage when it first opened
Stealth edit underway.
Thanks for the Informative Video on 10 jump scares on dark rides, I haven't been on any recently Great Video.
I love these videos. Our band had such a fun time on Dinosaur and we’re really mad it’s being removed.
I don't recall any news of it being removed.
@@ThemeParkCrazy they're replacing the whole dinosaur area with a zootopia thing, so dinosaur's most likely getting removed or rethemed
I hate knowing that I’ll probably never go on any of these rides 😭 btw cool video my dude
Same. I feel you :(
[6:57] They have something similar to the truck but instead you're heading straight toward a wall and mere seconds before you hit it, it opens.
The cat in the hat ride is one of my faves! Also, I'd go to Knoebels every summer!
The Carnotaur jumpscare definitely gives me the reworked Jurassic World ride, it used to be T Rex back when I went, but now its Indominus Rex jumpscare. Twas a good one.
The steam/fog shot by the dragon in the Harry Potter ride, is pretty warm from what I remember. And it makes a loud ass hiss too.
Having been on every ride on this list - I have to say that the Rubber Ducky scared me the most!! Everyone told us to ride, but never said why. I wanted to punch that stupid thing!!!!
The truck on test track and the alien on the great movie ride scared me as a kid
