I went through my first episode of psychosis 4 years ago. I was severely depressed after it ended. In that time I remember watching a VSauce video, and noticed this song in the background. I enjoyed it. It was the first time I felt something after the darkest week I’ve experienced. I’ve been listening to Jake Chudnow ever since, what a brilliant artist. No wonder VSauce is so popular.

24, "But the rolling shutter effect is not just a neat curiosity. It represents a fundamental and inescapable distortion that affects everything we see. Rolling shutter or not..."
28 Is the 82 officially part of the title like in 145(Poodles) case, or is it just like, the 82nd song on his album or 82nd song he's ever composed? Also thanks for archiving this MsBananaChips! Idk why the official (I think) Jake Chudnow channel only has like 8 or smth themes on their channel when there's clearly a lot more Jake actually released.
i'm unsure of the significance of the numbers in front of some of jake's tracks, but all of them seem to have numbers, and they are part of the "official" title - it's just that they're often left out. (though i might argue that the "official" title is the title jake releases them under.) for example, Moon Men, (which is THE vsauce song) is officially called "130 Moon Men". in fact, i think he numbers ALL of his songs, it's just that we aren't told some of them. (for example, we don't know the number of Pressed Pennies or Carlin Dream.) also idk how to segway to this but i believe that jake doesn't release all of his music on youtube because of the quantity & the amount of effort he normally puts into visualizers. if you're looking for a more complete collection of jake's works, i'd recommend checking out his soundcloud, or r/JakeChudnow, where they have an archive of all of his known works!
i think this because a lot songs from the same albums will often have wildly different numbers; for example, The Moon EP features 162, 130, 131, 23, 24, 101, and 152, but despite the numbering, they all feature a lot of compositional similarities. (heavier use of samples, a lot of ambient sounds, etc.)
actually wait fuck now that i think about it 23 and 24 are actually really similar to 72 Food and 62 I Sleep With The Fan On maybe we should ask jake about this
kinda, the second verse is longer than the fourth verse. verses one and three are the same. so it follows the same structure, just the back half is more melodic.

This one. This one was my favorite.
This one plays when he starts to teach you a subject

oh and my theory on the numbers is that he just numbers them cause it sounds cool lol
