- My freezer is empty, so it's time for a trip to some local farms for chicken, pasture-raised pork, and grass-fed beef. I'll share why I like to buy local and why pasture-raised meats are worth a bit more time and money (for me).

It was great having you at the retail outlet. Thats me scanning your items 😊
I’m glad you found the video! Thanks for watching 😊
What a good tradition. Meat Day!
Thanks! These little routines keep things in order for me.
You live in a gorgeous area of the country. The scenery is absolutely stunning!
It is a wonderful blessing to have those resources close to your family. The meats you bought look so nourishing and delicious. I live in the south and have eaten many chicken livers. We always loved them lightly floured and fried with a few onions. A long time ago I would have used vegetable oil. No more! Avocado oil , lard ,butter or tallow would be my choice today! I hope you find a way to prepare them that is pleasing to you and your family.
Have a great week!
Thanks! I do love the land here. I didn't appreciate it growing up here, and now that I'm back, I just love it. I think I'll try dipping those livers in flour and frying them; that sounds good. I have a little lard in the fridge left over from Thanksgiving pie-making, so I think this is the occasion for it. I hope you have a great week, too 😄
Looks fabulous! So jealous you got all that done :)
Thanks so much! 😊 It always feels good to have a stocked freezer.
