Kuma saying "i am so glad you were born" broke me. Bonney's birth is a symbol of Ginny's tragic plight. Kuma valuing her life even though it meant the death of his loved one is a truly beautiful moment. He never became resentful of his suffering and was able to find beauty in one of the most tragic situations in One piece so far.
Its such an important thing tbh Bonney is now fully aware that she's the child of a rape, and it would be extremly easy to her to blame herself for all bad things that happen to Kuma and feel repsonsible, even feel like Kuma's care wasn't gebuine But then Kuma breaks it down to her and eith tears on his eyes says it flat out, he loves her and is so glad she's born Despit enot being her father by blood Despite the tragic circustances that led to her being born Kuma is so extremly happy she's alive and wouldn't want her away, Kuma loves Bonney all the same, which to a child with a revelation like this is probably the most eye opening and comforting thing yoy could ever hear coming from a parent

I love that in chapters 1099 and 1100, we can see the personalities of I think every satellite in Vegapunk. Also, Is this the first time we’ve gotten older Ace, Sabo, and Luffy in the same chapter? And I don’t mean a chapter with Luffy and Sabo and then someone thinks of Ace so we get a grayed-out panel of him. I mean like in this chapter.

I actually kinda felt bad for Kizaru in this chapter. He is tasked with killing people he know and had some good times with and he said a few times that he doesn't want to do it but thats his duty. Kuma is a Top 5 character. Truly a well written character.❤
There's theory he purposely is staying down so he doesn't have to do it, hence Saturn being surprised and saying it's not like him. There's another theory built on top of that, that he'll attack Saturn. There's even more theory on top of that that he'll be the final strawhat to parallel Blackbeard getting Aokiji so both sides get a logia admiral from the Marinefold trio with their own sense of justice.
Was watching the video of that father in Gaza, holding his daughters lifeless body and smiling and laughing and then a few hours later I read the chapter! And honestly as a 34 year old man, with a daughter! It actually broke me! The emotion took me over and I cried!! Just thinking about a man that couldn't save his daughter and a man that is giving up his humanity to save his daughter, broke me to pieces.
I would throw my hat on Kuma spending his last year searching for Nika which led him to thriller bark and placing his last hope in the strawhats at Sabaody.
I dont know, I found it rather underwhelming, we learned nothing new beyond the last panel. Vegapunk turns kuma into a cyborg and took his free will as payment for him curing bonny which we already knew, their reactions were pretty fun but that's about it, really looking forward to the next couple of chapters though, hopefully they will portray why kuma went to East blue, though it was probably to apprehend luffy after eating the nika fruit though we already know he didn't do, so this is possibly to show he still has some will, which we already know, so it will be somewhat inconsequential. Following that, I hope we go back to the current time where I think kuma will turn up and sacrifice himself to save everyone, letting them escape. It would be an ideal conclusion to the arc.
@@jackmarshall2496 In an official statement Oda mentioned that he didnt know what he'd do in chapter 1000. He was just gonna draw it as a normal chapter until his editors pushed him to do something special since it's the thousandth chapter of the series. This means he really doesn't care about completing these number milestones and won't do anything extraordinary about them unless he's pushed by others. He's gonna take it slow and in his own way, not to adjust to the chapter's number and having to redirect his imagination.
@Jestiii don't get me wrong, even back story one piece is better than most manga imo, it's just I wouldn't describe this chapter as anything special compared to the egg head chapters we've had previously
Wonder how much Kizaru, Bonney, Sentomaru, and Vegapunk learned about Nika from Kuma during his stay. Does Bonney understand Luffy is Nika by now, what about Kizaru? I know Vegapunk does!
I've always assumed the reason we dont often see merchant vessels in the series is because we mostly follow the perspective of pirates, who merchants most likely try to avoid as best they can.
my guess for a long time, without any evidence, is that Kizaru is a good guy just playing along with the Navy and WG. him chilling on fights instead of delivering the killing blow is my only proof. him NOT KILLING Luffy and instead, kick him flying to Whitebeard. him delaying to kill Zoro waiting for Rayleigh to interfere. him not catching any Super Nova in Sabaody despite defeating multiple captains.
Idk bout good guy but his justice is interesting. Kizaru strikes me as a "how high" (pun intended) when being told to jump kind of guy, he will only not follow orders to a T when his loved ones are involved, so he is usually thorough until hes doing something he doesnt wanna do, hence why hes slow or sloppy in those examples u mentioned, when it came to taking out vegapunk kizaru was trying to kill him asap, perhaps luffys star gun punch freed kizaru from his own justice tho, only time will tell
Starting to question whether Kizaru was purposely lazy during Sabaody now that we know he was associated with Kuma. Perhaps Luffy’s punch has given him some belief in the sun god in the end and has a change of heart…
that would be epic but i can't see him being more than an ally. It would be a neat twist to have one of the good admirals be kizaru rather than aokiji@@maximumcockage6503
@@maximumcockage6503 I was thinking about how he had his hand over his face when he was speaking to Saturn, it’s very similar to this chapter where Kuma had his hand over his face and it turned out he’s crying with happiness, maybe Kizaru is the same? Kizaru had a panel of his reaction in that moment too so he obviously felt touched emotionally so I think he might just save Bonney…
Sabaody I kind of doubt it, but Marineford definitely. Several times, the worst he did to Luffy was kick him away from the platform, sometimes jumping in before other top tiers had the chance to. He also aimed for the Key instead of Luffy himself on the execution platform.
@@shamefuldisplay9692I mean he also tried to kill zoro in the slowest way possible, He was just playing around with them. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had just been trolling like that to begin with bc he wasted no time kicking away hawkins and drake.
Moria is actually quite fascinating; the dude does pretty much nothing but laze around, yet he was still a Warlord with the 2nd highest bounty at the time AND was able to raid Hachinosu all by himself. If the dude didn't have his will broken by Kaido (Moria being able to clash with him at all was also impressive in his own right), I bet he'd be a legit Yonko candidate by now.
This whole chapter was incredible. Every little detail was perfect, like now we know why Sentomaru went to so much effort to protect Bonney, he’s like an Uncle to her
I swear this flashback has not only delivered on Kuma as a character (because what an absolute saint he really is) but also astonished me as I'm in awe of Oda'a ability to avoid story contradictions, maintain such a long timeline so succinctly, and weave Kuma's story along with other plot points into the larger scheme of things. Absolutely masterful storytelling and yet another marvelous chapter even just from a writing/dialogue perspective!! He definitely wasn't kidding when he said this Final Saga would be unlike anything prior to it
Someone on Reddit has a really interesting theory about Kizaru and the other original admirals that they are representative of Japanese salary men. Kuzan was the man who got fed up with his bad how job was and quit. Akainu was is the guy who climbed the corporate ladder trying to get to the top only to find out he couldn't actually do anything there. And Kizaru, judging by the flashbacks, is the guy who got broken down by his job and just does what he's told and goes with the flow.
@@lishark843 Fujitora somehow is the most despised employee that Akainu didn't want, but yet had to keep him because he's still good at the job. Not to mention Fujitora is a more classic role model of a worker.
@@gdim925There could be reasons/trauma leading up to the end result sure, but Kizaru isn't being held captive. He sees himself as a tool and never refuses an order even if he disagrees. Kuma just accepting without hesitating and actually smiling happily that bonney will be cured is sooo wholesome. This scene is just like that one scene in amazin lily when luffy was given 2 options by boa. Kuma could have I dead saved the world u der different circumstances. He wasn't nika, but he is worthy of being one. ☹😢😭
The panel of'em all dancing just fucking broke me. But when you mentioned the reason behind pizza being Bonney's favourite food I just cried. Thanks for that, internet man.
2:59 My impression of Saturn is Lawful Evil, but the problem is he (or rather, they with the rest of the Elders) also decides the laws... Damn, so hype for the next chapter _if_ Kuma realizes who Luffy is. From Kuma's POV, his daughter cured AND seeing Nika made his sacrifice worth it. That silhouette dancing scene with everyone dancing, probably something to do if not Luffy's actual dream too.
Do they though? Imu is the one actually pulling the strings. The five elders may have the ability to decide how they go about that and the details of the implementation, but it is Imu who declares the what.
@@azraeldusk2154 It's called delegation. Aside from some absolute laws, I doubt Imu has anything to do with enforcing or writing minor/major laws. The Elders also have to act like they are _the_ highest authority in the world to hide Imu. But the heck do we really know until Oda reveals what's up later.
If Kuma gave up his Humanity to become a cyborg, I wonder if that Kuma-Bubble Bonney earlier found contained just not Kuma's memories, but also his Personality and Humanity, which is why Bonney semmingly became so cheerful after absorbing it.
Mihawk in this chapter looked rather distraught seeing the news of Kuma becoming the Warlord. We saw Kuma visited Mihawk’s island in the past. I am guessing that Mihawk and Kuma met and talked and Mihawk knows what kind of person Kuma is and knows that he must have been forced to become the warlord.
I smiled uncontrollably big seeing Kuma and Bonney hug after she was cured, and Kuma is undoubtedly Best Dad in all of shonen plus him using Bonney's drawing of him on his jolly roger was awesome plus he's at Luffy's village that's wild then seeing all the other warlords react to Kuma was cool
Ya know, besides the whole 3rd demand of Saturn of removing Kumas free will the terms were surprisingly fair for their deal, like obviously you'd want the face of the cloning project that will become a main stay of the WGs arsenal once completed to be someone who already answers to them so the Warlord offer is totally understandable, as for term 2 and the cybernetic enhancements and prob trackers/bombs and the like in his body that also makes sense, Kuma weren't just any old pirate he was specifically trying to take down the WG as a revolutionary, so precautions against treason is understandable.
I feel like it'll be just a simple reason why Kuma was in Foosha. Aside being a new Shichibukai, he's really exploring many islands so he could write letters to Bonney about his journeys (and also for Bonney to travel one day in the future). And one day, after visiting many islands in East Blue (maybe he chose to spend more time in East Blue because Bonney's mom Ginny was the RA commander for East Blue so maybe he's trying to see East Blue through Ginny's eyes) he arrived in a town called Foosha Village. He prolly remembered he'd been to the island before (just on Dragon's ship though) during the Grey Terminal incident so this time he decided to explore. And at the same time, the WG called him asking his wherebouts to give him orders . Still in Foosha, maybe Kuma will accidentally bump into a 15@16 y/o Luffy who reminds him of Bonney (big eater, impulsive) and he also witnesses the boy having the rubbery DF power. Maybe they'll bond a little, like Luffy saw Kuma's ship and got excited to meet another pirate. And Luffy being Luffy, he will say hs famous catchphrase "I'll sail out too when I turn 17, and I'll be the King of Pirate!"
Okay. I think I now understand why Sakazuki was so shocked when he heard Bonney escaped. Without her being watch or hostaged by the World Government. Kuma , if he had any free will could escape with her or rebel.
There is a posibility that we might see Luffy setting Sail next chapter. I do hope that somehow Kuma both somehow recognises Luffy as Nika, might be a Buccaneer thing, and maybe Garp also tells him thats Dragons Son. It wouldn't be impossible that Kuma is there to meet up with Garp for something
What broke my heart even more is the small glimpses into their happy moments as father and daughter they have. The drawing of kuma Bonney made with a "daddy" on it, the way she sits on his lap while eating, sleeping on his chest. Like goddamn man, that's one hell of a massive ammount of wholesome combined with devestation & grief
Oda went hard on the emotional close ups this flashback. Almost think you can summarise this whole flashback with just the panels of Kumas face in chronological order.
The thing is Luffy's dream and saving people are related to each other. One cannot be without the later. His dream must be so great that it automatically involves saving people he befriends.
Bro idk how you so consistently pump out such in depth knowledge of the one piece universe. The level of work you put into this channel is insane. Props man.
@@AceTeaaa I mean you say that but Ace did become 2nd division commander of the whitebeard pirates, so assuming it was an actual battle and not a one hit ko they must be pretty powerful. Also they must have been reasonably strong to have been made a warlord to begin with
Kuma used Bonney’s childish drawing for his Jolly Roger and it hit me pretty damn hard, that’s gotta be some the cutest stuff in all of one piece. What a wholesome guy Bartholomew Kuma was, well before… you know… 😔💔
This is a great chapter. I also love seeing characters within the story out of context of the story we know. I like seeing them in places before we see them. That is always nice. I was wondering if I missed something with the warlord that Ace beat not being named. Maybe there is some sort of importance to it.
After this chapter does it seem possible that Kizaru might pull a double cross against Saturn here. We were told a few chapter ago that something extreme is about to happen at egghead, and whats more extreme than an admiral attacking an elder? After the flashback in this chapter and seeing how close Kizaru got with Kuma and Bonney, he was even doing that dance with them, it just got me thinking that could be the case. Also if they keep the parallel between ludfy and BB going that could me loffy gets an admiral on his side to, though if that is the case i was hoping it might be Fujitora but Kizaru is not a bad choice either.
But the most important question to ask though is... How can Dr Vegapunk stand up, walk around and dance with that sized head of his haha. Dude isn't some muscle bound brute..
Wild theory: Since time travel exists, i think that Conney is Bonneys Future Self, either through distortion of reality (Bonneys fruit might have something to do with time travel as well?). They look similar, the name is VERY similar and it might be, that later in time, Bonney needs to travel back in time to care for/rescue her younger self, to make things happen exactly the way they are supposed to happen, for Joyboy to fulfill his purpose and bring the world back to its "original" happy&free state before the World Gov tears it apart. Conney just cannot reveal herself as a future time traveler, because it would fk up the space-time continuum. And no, i didnt smoke a fat one for this. xd
I think it would be so cool if Oda illustrated the actual in-world process of creating the Jolly Roger. Like how did Kuma so perfectly translate Bonney's drawing from paper to sails?
I don't know if it is related with Umit but "Ümit" is a Turkish name which means "hope". And Ottoman pirates have great importance in real pirate history and most of them has Turkish names. It is weird to me when there are not much references to Ottoman pirates in the series except some(For example, Urouge).
Ikr lol, i think sabo kept a low profile till dressrosa since dragon probs didnt want him to end up like ivankov if i had to guess, also sabo is older and has a burn scar, i dont think ace would put two and two together so easily
You have to remind that Ace is basically the same as Luffy. They don't give a fuck about the news, politics and the revolutionary army. Ace is a lot dumber than we want to remember him being
I actually have an ominous theory, because I noticed us all asking why Kuma was near Foosha Village, but we missed a bigger question: why is kuma getting new orders upon reaching Foosha village? My theory on this is that the order is to kill Luffy but won't elaborate why because the top brass don't want the fruit's nature to get found out. This would interestingly imply that word about him eating that fruit got out somehow, and Kuma, upon learning the truth about Luffy, he will spare him and find a way to lie about him to the WG.
this is exactly like my thought! this chapter is thrilling bcos i really wonder if kuma already know luffy since he was a child? if WG already instruct him to kill luffy at that time? does kuma know the real name behind gomu2 fruit? what if kuma ask vegapunk abt gomu2 fruit which wondering him why WG taking so much interest in gomu2 fruit? since we know that vegapunk well aware abt the ancient df encyclopedia.. this might be the reason why vegapunk has so much interest on void century and decided to learn abt it..
@@h_zm2631 One thing that would make more sense is that the WG is hunting for the whereabouts of the fruit, which of course would make sense for them to want to clean up the mess made by Who's Who by tracking down Shanks who stole the fruit in the first place, and there's no better place to start than the island Shanks was on for a lengthy piece of time.
We learned so much about Saturn in so few chapters. Right now he's the Elder we know the best after +23 years reading this manga. But now, I expect the same level of development for the 4 others.
It hardly will have. For example Number 3, Ceasar and Jack all had their own arcs (Little Garden, Punk Hazard and Zou), while the rest of their groups (Baroque Works, Donquixote pirates and Beast pirates) all just participated in another arc with the other main villain. The other gorosei would be villains as a group, not as a individiuals like Saturn.
1:40 The moment where Kuma smiles knowing that he will die is the same as Luffy in Logue Town where he also knew that he would die but he smiled anyway
Whilst Kalifa is destined to join Cipher Pol due to her father we've yet to see a child Kaku training with the others on CP Island. He's still an enigma in the story.
That Nika Dance scene made believe Luffy is gonna free everybody in that scene in some way during this arc. They all danced and partied as Tribute to the Sun God and now he will save them... Or at least I hope so
Can confirm as a fellow pot head. Pizza changes a mf. Kizaru for strawhat! ALSO, I like your theory of Kuma recognizing Luffy as Nika, potentially. Remember when Luffy broke down in front of him and Kuma had a look of shock? He probably didnt expect someone who he expected to be Nika break down and cry like that after he was trying to help them.
At 6:20ish you wonder why, in a world of 'Pirates' running rampant everywhere, there arent more merchant ships... but that should answer it. I would imagine most goods are transported by marine affiliated groups to avoid the constant pilaging of said goods😊
That scene of kuma crying out of pure happines is filled with strong emotion, oda made charechters cry like that but always in a tragic or a sad scene, and what make it hit harder is the eyes of saturn denden moshi show him effected by kuma pure sacrafice
13:10 to be fair to Koby, at least according to the anime (in chapter 2 he just says he made a mistake and ended up in Alvida's ship) he got on a row boat to go fishing but it turned out to be from Alvida's ship and then he was abducted, I like that version because it makes sense for how you could make that mistake without being Zoro.
Imagine if Kuma is actually the father that Dragon always wanted to be and as a result Dragon told Kuma to take care of his son in his absence or death should they ever cross paths. That would make Kuma Luffy's godfather.
Kuma accepting the conditions without hesitations reminds me of the luffy moment at Amazon Lily when Boa offered to save the girls but lufffy would be stuck on the island😢
At Cornell University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the tunneling electron microscope. Now, this microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom - the infinitesimally minute building blocks of our universe. If I were using that microscope right now, I still wouldn't be able to locate my interest in Kumas backstory
Kuma out here making everyone in the entire One Piece fandom love him more and more that we already did prior to this whole flashback let alone this whole arc. He's definitely at the top of my list of favorite Warlords.
Ok so Kuma spent time with Vegapunk, and Vegapunk knows what Nika looks like and probably what his body's capable of from legends. I think it's possible that in the next chapter Kuma will see Luffy stretching and everything will click for him
If I had to guess who that unnamed warlord is, it's definitely not a character we have seen before, but it is a character we heard about before, *the man marked by flames*
Kuma will be able to fullfil his promise: Kuma memories will be taken by the Seraphim Kuma and once Saturn give order to Seraphim Kuma. His feeling will override the command and protect Bonney. Similar thing happend with the Boa Hankok Seraphim 🫡 a theory that might happend
The character heaviness on this chapter is astounding deserving of the 1100 milestone! Whitebeard, Blackbeard, Jimbei and Ace in one panel, Moria, Doflamingo, Crocodile, and other OG Warlords. Speaking of OG, who's this Warlord defeated by Ace? Oda's suspicious wording leads me to think its someone important.
Well I'm assuming it's cause of their positions. I don't think people like Ju Peter has much evil (or at least, as much as Jaygarcia) to do when he probably just tells the kings what crops to grow in regards to the celestial dragons and how to make good fertilizer, I guess. Saturn has just a better position to be an asshat
To help with understanding the timeline of all the flashbacks: -Ginny was kidnapped two years before the Grey Terminal Fire. When Sabo "died". -Bonney was born the same year as the fire. Ace and Sabo were 10, Luffy was 7. -Kuma quit the Rev some time between then and When Bonney was 5. -Kuma became King when Bonney was 7. He took Bonney to see Vegapunk when she was 8. At this point Ace has already left at the age of 17. -They stayed on Egghead for 6 months and then Bonney was to be on Sorbet for another year. Luffy is now 16 and Ace is 19 and Bonney is 9. -Kuma would be finished becoming a cyborg 6 months from then, which at the same time the story starts and Luffy is 17.
You can't say that Coby spent 2 years in Alvida's ship. Kuma has been acomplishing missions for an unknown amount of time when he gets that call in East Blue. I believe that just shows how close we are to the beggining of One Piece, maybe a few days actually.
Koby spending 2 years with Alvida doesn't come from this chapter. He mentions it himself when he is introduced iirc. Edit: the Koby panel here is indeed much closer to the start of the timeline and not when he first got captured

The fact Kuma, didn't eliminate Luffy is either because. Dragon appeared or simply because Luffy danced the same way Kuma's late Father did. Or simply could be his eating habit reminded himself of Bonney.
I'm glad someone else picked up on the Amazon Lily connection. An obscure but powerful moment, which expertly displays Luffy's ride or die personality. Also, machine-gun Boa was amazing. Thank you for that.
Kizaru participating in the Joy Boy dance reveals something about his character. Something is about to happen that strips him of his emotions and also jades his vision so much that he doesn't even react to getting punched in the face by Joy Boy himself.
With how much Kizaru is in this flashback & shown being happy I'm starting to worry that he won't make it out of this arc. Perhaps he angers Saturn & gets killed defending Vegapunk &/or Bonney?
I think Ace beat the warlord and then it took the WG a while to process who should become the next one, asked Ace to do it, Ace rejected their proposal and then it took them another month or so decide who should get it and then Kuma showed up.
Kizaru passed the hat to Bege. LOL. Kizaru joining the dance makes me think that he might turn to the opposite side; the opposite of the Sabaody park where he was actively pursuing the strawhats.

1100 did not disappoint
What a chapter!
Detective Kizaru + Pizza Party = Best Chapter of the year
I dont know, I found it rather underwhelming, we learned nothing new beyond the last panel.
The panel of them dancing hurt so much. Not only is it a nod Oda's favourite panel plus the Nika. It's was so bitter sweet.
Wonder how much Kizaru, Bonney, Sentomaru, and Vegapunk learned about Nika from Kuma during his stay. Does Bonney understand Luffy is Nika by now, what about Kizaru? I know Vegapunk does!
Man oda is truly a genius, interconnecting everything with the flashbacks
I've always assumed the reason we dont often see merchant vessels in the series is because we mostly follow the perspective of pirates, who merchants most likely try to avoid as best they can.
I was so surprised to see Kizaru join in on the Nika dance panel
He was probably as high as skypea
@@alexambro4998I mean, Mugiwara No Goofy calls Kizaru "Adam Sandler on all the weed", so maybe
my guess for a long time, without any evidence, is that Kizaru is a good guy just playing along with the Navy and WG.
him chilling on fights instead of delivering the killing blow is my only proof.
him NOT KILLING Luffy and instead, kick him flying to Whitebeard.
him delaying to kill Zoro waiting for Rayleigh to interfere.
him not catching any Super Nova in Sabaody despite defeating multiple captains.
He wass probably ordered not to go after Law though , since Sengoku believed Law was the only available choice to take down Doflamingo.
@@lorddarkrai5753their interaction after dressrosa shows he didn't even know for certain that Law is the child Rocinante was caring for
Idk bout good guy but his justice is interesting.
I heard the same theory that he took a fall. Also heard theories he's attack Saturn and be the final Strawhat since the Blackbeard pirates got Aokiji.
that would be epic but i can't see him being more than an ally.
It's crazy that Kizaru joined in the bonding moment between Kuma, Bonney, Vegapunk, and Sentomaru as they eat, drink and dance the Nika together.
Ryukugyu then intead is the traditional boss boot licker
I wonder if there is actually a cliche for Fujitora

I knew Kuma would have a tragic backstory, but I NEVER would have expected this. It’s up there with Robin and Law
It surpasses those for me

14:16 The Buccaneer blood is really shining through
I smiled uncontrollably big seeing Kuma and Bonney hug after she was cured, and Kuma is undoubtedly Best Dad in all of shonen plus him using Bonney's drawing of him on his jolly roger was awesome plus he's at Luffy's village that's wild then seeing all the other warlords react to Kuma was cool
The egghead incident hasnt happened yet.😅

14:14, im sorry WHAT IS THAT, MY MAN KUMA IS PACKING😭😭😭
Oda went hard on the emotional close ups this flashback. Almost think you can summarise this whole flashback with just the panels of Kumas face in chronological order.
The thing is Luffy's dream and saving people are related to each other. One cannot be without the later. His dream must be so great that it automatically involves saving people he befriends.
Bro idk how you so consistently pump out such in depth knowledge of the one piece universe. The level of work you put into this channel is insane. Props man.
If Woop Slap turns out to be the lynchpin in this entire 1100+ chapter story, I don't know if I can take it
Hold up, the unknown man scarred by flames, is he the former warlord that got replaced ? If he was defeated by Ace, that would make sense
You might be on to something
Huh thats really not a bad idea
Could well be 🤔
But he must be pretty weak then idk how he would have kept a road poneglyph all this time
@@AceTeaaa I mean you say that but Ace did become 2nd division commander of the whitebeard pirates, so assuming it was an actual battle and not a one hit ko they must be pretty powerful. Also they must have been reasonably strong to have been made a warlord to begin with
Kuma used Bonney’s childish drawing for his Jolly Roger and it hit me pretty damn hard, that’s gotta be some the cutest stuff in all of one piece.
What a wholesome guy Bartholomew Kuma was, well before… you know…
😔💔
This is a great chapter. I also love seeing characters within the story out of context of the story we know. I like seeing them in places before we see them. That is always nice. I was wondering if I missed something with the warlord that Ace beat not being named. Maybe there is some sort of importance to it.
I’ve seen a “man marked by flames” theory come of this.
That party scene makes me feel like Kizaru will eventually turn against the world government by the end of one piece
But the most important question to ask though is...
How can Dr Vegapunk stand up, walk around and dance with that sized head of his haha. Dude isn't some muscle bound brute..

What I wonder is how Kuma and Bonney could have missed each other on Sabaody, or if they did meet, what were their reactions.
They did not meet there
Wild theory:
Since time travel exists, i think that Conney is Bonneys Future Self, either through distortion of reality (Bonneys fruit might have something to do with time travel as well?).
I love how Ace (second captain serving the strongest pirate in the world) never looked at Revolutionary Army's no. 2 and thought "wait.... WTF"

@@lordfreezer5631 I'm pretty sure Ace didn't tell whitebeard about garp either 😭
Poor Kuma. He never catches a break.
14:16 Kuma do be packin heat tho 👀
The straw hats need an admiral on the crew

If Saturn is part of so many key moments, what are the other grandpas involved in?
Feels like Saturn was part of everything important so far.
It's because it's vegapunk related and he's the science elder
To help with understanding the timeline of all the flashbacks:
-Ginny was kidnapped two years before the Grey Terminal Fire.
Chapter 1100 is probably one of my favorite chapters in the entire series
