I never imagined the sampler was this good.. I’ll definitely be using it in the future..the hair comb caught my attention very well..thanks Patrick for the tutorial
Actually I liked your little found sound tune. Could be used for an animated film. Thanks for all the tips. I missed a lot when sampling previously and you reminded me of very useful ones!
Very fun! I surprised my song writing partner with a birthday present a while back, of a Christmas 🎄song, using his phrases from my answer machine...had Cakewalk; this would have been better😂
I'd love to see a full arrangement of that track! Seriously, that was genius! And inspiring! It had never occurred to boofhead muggins here to try that, and now I'm looking at the coffee table right in front of me, going, “Hmm…” 🤔 So thank you, again! Much appreciated! :)
Hi , would you be able to make a tutorial on how to connect a midi keyboard onto iPhone, ive tried to make mine connect but it isn’t playing anything in GarageBand
Do you have a seperate usb power hub? You’ll need that and apples lightning to USBC /camera powered by something and you should be good. Well let me rephrase that…you’ll be in the right direction depending on what you are trying to plug in
Hello. My name is Ron and I have a question. How do I adjust the input signal using GarageBand iOS iPhone and an iRig USB audio device? Right now, it's set to an automatic level and there is no options to change it. My signal audio is low and I adjusted the iRig USB to the max If I use a USB iPhone headphones, I can click on the input icon and it shows me that it recognizes the mic on the headphones with the option to set it to automatic or to manually adjust it. I opened an audio track with the selection of guitar input. But GarageBand sees it as a mic instead of a guitar. Plus the input levels are locked in an automatic level. So I can't change it. I know you're the best from all other websites. Can you help me? I really thought that this type of audio interface would work as a guitar source. But it just shows it as a mic audio source. You are great in your videos! Please help me. I tried IK Multimedia and got no response. So what do I do? Should I invest into an audio interface? I don't get the options of an A or B channel input. Just a mic setting. I am so confused. Please help me! Your friend, Ron 😊
Can you record directly into logic sampler on the ipad as well? Or is this only available in garageband? I know you can use the quick sampler in logic but I've never seen a way to record directly into it like youre doing here!
I would like to ask about the velocity in GB. It doesn’t read in the regular velocity reading (64, 80, 120, with 127 being the highest, etc.) In GarageBand it’s reads it or shows the velocity meter differently. I want to sample different instruments from GB into AudioLayer and gonna want to use three layers of each sample (each layer with a different velocity), but have no way of knowing how to mark them being that it doesn’t use the traditional velocity meter. It only marks the velocities in negative and positive. Do you have a convert sheet to compare GB’s Velocity negative & positive in order to know what traditional velocity numbers there in. For example, the highest Velocity+99 has to be Velocity“127”, but what about the markings for anything under that. And what’s the GB default velocity that’s in the middle of negative&positive, could it be the middle Velocity”80” or at low. It would also be nice to have a sheet comparing GB’s Velocity “-“ & “+”, with the letters as well (example, “ppp” “pp” “p”, “mf”, “f” “ff” “fff”). This is the only thing keeping me from sampling GB with AudioLayer, I want a good quality sampled instrument by using velocity layers. Apple should of made us a velocity sheet explaining their “-“ & “+”
Yep, definitely competetive. Despite all the added features of many AU sample apps, Garageband is still a readily available alternative.
Absolutely!
But not how to add them to a drum machine?
I never imagined the sampler was this good.. I’ll definitely be using it in the future..the hair comb caught my attention very well..thanks Patrick for the tutorial
Thanks Patrick for showing the sampler which had previously passed me by.
There are all sorts of unique instruments I can now give a try.
Lovely video, feel you know about GarageBand more than Apple itself! 😊
Thank you Patrick

I LOVE THIS CHANNEL! THANK YOU!
I LOVE YOU TOO!
I love the track! It's so much fun to make music like that.
OMG! Thanks So much, I'll be playing with this non-stop!
thank you! I lost Logic (dont ask) so for now I'm back to basics w new ipad and Garageband, thanks for showing me the sampler does more than bark lol
PS: This is the first I've heard of this tool... I've seen the button, but never knew what it did👍🎹 Thanks!!
Great vid bro. I’ve watched a bunch of your iOS vids over the years. Thanks for inspiring me to keep trying. Kudos!
Copyright claim 😂 that’s about right 👌 The sampler is definitely one of the best things about GB.
You covered it well Patrick. Thanks 🙏

Thank you man!
Thank you man really useful 👍🏻
Another great video - thank you & thumbs up!
Hi Patrick, just a quick question. How do you reduce the size of the sampler window so the track window can be viewed?🤔
It’s only possible on 12.9” models unfortunately.
@@TheGaragebandGuide Thanks Patrick. Keep up the great work!👍
Patrrrrrrrick...Great demo👍 Really horrible🎶😂...I have to try it out! Just watched this again...had forgot all it...
It seems to lock on me and not allow me to record a second sample unless I shut all the way down and restart.
Too bad it wasn’t mating season - Froggy could have given us a croak! 😉
Thanks for such a helpful demo of the sampler.
Can this be done with vocal sounds into midi?

How do I make my screen look like that? mine only shows the instruments, or the tracks. I don’t see the track and the instrument.
@@JFMoraTube the split view is only on 12.9”/13” iPads unfortunately
@ Oh, I see. Thanks!

You should always explain the gear that you show on the table.
Can you do this on mac?
Hi Patrick. Is there a simple way to do this in garageband on mac??? I can't find a tutorial through the mess of search.
Specifically, i'm looking to record a sound and apply it to the keyboard.
I would love to know how to do this also!🙏
Me too

Some real high-tech "instruments," there, Patrick! 😂
I’m nothing if not professional 😂
So dope!
Bro i can't get my impc to link to gragdgeband help
Superb!
Can Garage Band do stem separation in iPad from an audio sample?
No, you’d need Logic or another online alternative for that.
Audacity with the OpenVINO plug-in works.
Thanks Patrick!
Wow, it’s really cool
Bruva is tuff
Thanks for your valuable content. Can you suggest any free mainstage alternative for iPad please😊
So cool
BeatMaker 3 has the best sampler
Wee froggy❤❤
Poor froggy! I hope he has recovered!!!!
