Great job. I am a CDL instructor (former OTR) and I have a 45' dual axle freightliner cab party (limo on steroids) bus I drive. These buses are harder to drive than the tractor trailer combos. Another great vid Andrew and as always stay safe and give Sadie some love for me.
Andrew, I'm sure your support for Heather to drive helped Court over the hurdle giving her confidence to drive. Now she can drive most anywhere. I enjoy the positive energy and like you say, meeting, getting to know cool people. Thank you for sharing, this will help my wife get confidence to go for it also. Have a great day!
OUTSTANDING. ! Can't be much different between a 43 and a 45 foot coach. Drove a 78 foot truck and trailer all over the US for the last 25 years. All it takes is some road time and a lot of paying attention to what you are doing. Every day is a new situation. Time and patience goes a long way. STAY SAFE OUT THERE. 😷🙏🇺🇸
I agree with you! It is always good to have two people that know how to drive the rig, never know when you’re needed to drive it. It can be very daunting but there are people who can help with the learning. We don’t have a rig of any size & never drove the van with the tent trailer, but am going to learn to drive our next configuration, I’ve started to boost my confidence over it! When looking at rigs, test drive it, just like the smaller vehicles, some drive easier than others. Thanks for this video, you rocked it!
Been driving practically every thing , from MOTORHOME, with a 53 foot trailer, extended hood W900 large Sleeper, 53 foot trailer, for years, and last week gotta drive a diesel pusher. It needed to go to the shop in south Florida, 45 foot. Never driven one, so my friend asked me if I could take it from Daytona to south Florida, yep I said. Absolutely was easier than I thought.
Way to show how it’s done Heather! Well done. You’re probably a good motivation to a lot of peeps afraid to give driving a rig like that a go. And Court seems a supportive good sport too. Happy travels!
For sure with the people on the road treating buses like a sports car! I drive a 39ft school bus and and the amount of times people cut me off on a daily is remarkable! You def have to be focused and super cautious when driving these things! Lol

A "Prevost" is the Scalade of all motor coaches. I've been a commercial driver for over 30 years. And I'm very familiar with: Prevost, Van Hools, MCi's, dual air braking system, including the Thelma braking system they need to be aware of.. In addition to the tag axle, turning in the opposite direction as you turn left or right to accommodate your turns.. Hey Andrew Kevin from central Florida. Just what myself and my wife needed to break up this covid 19 stress. She should be vary proud if herself with driving. A prevost is in our future for sure! Excellent video as always.
Something to consider is making sure that if you only use the trans break does it light up your break lights? CRAZY! You alll addressed my question as I was writing this !
Heather you did so good! You too Andrew. Very Informative information from Court too. My wife wanted to drive our coach the other day but I wasn't ready. After watching this I think she is going to be driving ours soon. I had fun watching this video. Thanks guys.
I’m a commercial driver I’ve driven everything from school bus, motor coaches, Entertainer motor coaches with mega trailers and semi trucks and this is a prime reason why I think those that own buses of this size should have a CDL and a minimum of training requirement. If you notice in this video he was saying you need to make sure your air pressure is up and working properly and she was worried about the seatbelt. When she was making her left-hand turn she was looking forward but she never looked in her mirrors to see if her rear with hit a sign or pole when she swung to the left. These are not big RVs these are buses that way a minimum 50,000 or more pounds
Driving this would be so much fun!!! I drive a school bus and i feel more comfortable driving my school bus than my own car. LET ME DRIVE THE BIG RV PLEASE!!
On the subject of the transmission brake. Keep an eye on the trans temp. If operating any were there a long downgrade. The trans temp dill climb very quickly to a point that you can cause damage.
I have not figure out yet ,why i am glue to your channel lol. The best thing is watching you drive .Your so nervous but handle it like champ. Now you want one right ? What are your thought on the super c compare to class A as far drive ability and ride smoothness. Great people Court and Heather. Court is so laid back, No problem for Heather wheeling the Big boy down the road.
Maybe face the camera out the windshield a little more to see how the driver is approaching the turns . looking at the driver and passengers is of little value, we can hear them speaking which is enough.
And as far as his theory on needing two or 3 feet for swing space that’s not valid. Especially if you have your tags up he can swing out up to 5 feet in some cases
I use to be a bus driver, I'm now retired. I use to drive a Prevost and many other buses, but the Prevost is the one that I liked the best. They drive so very nice and they handle so good. The Prevost is, to me, the top of the line.
Honestly let’s just face it, and the reality is that some people -(whether male or female) are/were born with a high motor skill predisposition...and superior performance of motor skills. Some were born with it, others acquired it through early on the farm training as kids...then still some or probably most attending some type of vocational training. I started driving my dad’s car out on the highway at eleven (11) years old - sitting on telephone books, and drove my granddaddy’s John Deere tractor at an even earlier age. Even though I’ve been driving since I was a kid, I didn’t get my official state license until I was in college at 21years of age. I studied for my CDL, drove 18-wheelers, church buses and RV motor homes. I share all this to say that anybody who already has an experience and how to operate any type of vehicle, can train another person to operate said vehicle. I learned all about pneumatics (air brake) systems for trains, buses and trucks long before I got behind the wheels of any. Anybody can read up on how to do anything and pass a required multiple choice test, -but hands on training is another thing altogether. Many people quite often flunk the hands on or field training tests. So if the lady in the video (Heather) has already acquired experience in driving a 43’ RV and now feels confident enough graduating up to a 45’, I’d say leave her alone and let the lady continue learn while she’s training (it’s a life long endeavor anyway). It’s obvious her husband or partner has instructed her in safe RV driving -of which I’d bet females are way more careful at -too, than males are. Everybody doesn’t struggle to learn how to operate an air brake equipped vehicle. Why, it’s just air brakes for goodness sakes. Pre-trip inspections are not just native to large and or air brake equipped vehicles. No, most school districts always did require both a “pre” and “aft” trip inspection of their buses and or just vehicles period. With semi-tractor-trailers there’s always an added “post” trip inspection, because loads have to settle-in and can shift around along the journey. It seems to me like certain folks want to make life just as complicated and or if not harder for other folks as it was for themselves. CDLs’ are not needed because of air brakes -or size of vehicle- as many non air system vehicles require a CDL. You may need a CDL for operating a vehicle for commercial commerce purposes. Just like a chauffeur license is a type of CDL but of course with the appropriate endorsement(s). Some states require both a CL and CDL to just commercially chauffeur people around. I hope the authorities that be never-ever require neither a CL nor a CDL to operate a private non commercial RV, and it don’t matter whether it’s a train, plane, boat or locomotive train; as long as it’s being safely operated correctly. 🤫😇😷🙏🏾🚎🚚🚜🏍🚁🛩🚂🛳
Court, Heather and Andrew, you guys are killing me. While I love our Dynasty, a Prevost conversion is definitely top on my want list for our next coach. Watching this isn’t helping any. 😜 Andrew, like Court, I like to coast as it’s my favorite “gear” for economy. I didn’t like the immediate downshift and activation of the engine compression brake. I wired in a normally open switch as a foot pedal like the earlier Jake brakes used so I can control when the compression braking activates and I can coast. It may be something you want to look in to. Great video and love your guys’ coach. Mike
Good to see you guys out driving! I actually wish more people produced driving videos of the Prevost coaches. So many people tour them but don't show what it's like driving them. Hi Court and Heather!~
Good job Heather. I was going to drive trucks coast to coast or local runs after military even got 100% correct answers on Virginia CDL exam. Just never followed up with getting license. Should have got myself one of the Provost coaches when it first crossed my mind. I only pull into truck stops or gas stations I can pull straight through without having to make any difficult maneuvers even guys in Miatas think they don’t have to move. I mean you be doing a small turn guy be like I want a new car because you crushed the aluminum can I was driving. I live near a church I was once debating paving the lot with one stipulation I could used the lot to get coach turned around if I came home approaching the from north and needed to get into my drive way. I mean I can swing out into other lane and make right turn into my driveway but not trying to rollover or buy somebody a Miata because they not paying attention to me. I jump into left lane to turn right they see my blinkers but they don’t care they be like I can still make it even if I decide to start the right turn. Next thing you know they be like you saw me alongside of you and now they want next years newest Cadillac and they were driving a 1974 Pinto.

I run 315/80R22.5 on my heavyhaul Volvo truck. It's 20 ply rating and each tire can carry 10000 lbs. The steeraxle has a 20000lbs rating. How much weight is on the Prevost Bus' steeraxle? The video was great. Thanks.
Our front axle was 17,000lbs. Per Michelin pressure chart we needed to be at 125psi. We thought that was going to contribute to rougher ride with 365s we now run 100psi and very smooth
The steering wheel looks just like the steering wheel from a j4500 .either way this prevost sounds nice and to drive a beast like that whether om the highway ,city streets or even in some type of lot or yard that is darn impressive
Andrew your feelings and excitement were the same as James(AZexpert) while driving a Prevost(bus) compared to an RV. Do you feel the Prevost is better than the Spartan chassis? I don't think you can find a better used RV than a Prevost though. Heather did an awesome job also
I was thinking if I was close to you guys, I could teach you how to change those windshields. Could add it to your companies services. Not that difficult to do.
It just happened and we plan to swap the fridge out through the replacement just haven't scheduled it yet... but it's actually very inexpensive to replace
You go girl I would have been relaxed riding with you and I'm speaking from experience im51years young And I have been driving huge commercial vehicles most of my adult life buses tractor trailer in my opinion as an experienced driver you did what I would have done 👌👏👍
Omg you ppl are so fucking funny to watch, you forced a little white car to back up hundred feet that you should have been able to just drive normally like a car .but you blocked the car's path on purpose. There was enough room to get a triple semi truck through. Lol don't listen to those guys girl. Just put them off your bus when they become know it all's. Lol
Heather, you are the bomb diggity! Glad you're in Arizona I love Arizona I try to go there once a year to Tucson but very good your husband's face was red the whole time but it was good LOL
And it’s always good to get over when people are merging on the interstate because you don’t know what the speed is going to be or what they were capable of doing and you can’t react that quickly with the 50,000 pound vehicle is it better to move over and safer
Prevost or not you are doing well you enjoy it, there is no difference between woman and men , it is not exam gentlemen . Ja the difference is that wimen have a thikker skin, a better intoition, and can have children quaid a lot, dear mam you are doing well the gentlemen shoud tell you shoud sitt nice in to the back of the seat relaxing a conforting the drive respect Heather. Honestly it's kind of scary that any joe blow can get in and drive a 45' 60000 lbs motorhome with a regular driver's license
Right!?!?
The steering wheel looks just like the steering wheel from a j4500 .either way this prevost sounds nice and to drive a beast like that whether om the highway ,city streets or even in some type of lot or yard that is darn impressive
Andrew your feelings and excitement were the same as James(AZexpert) while driving a Prevost(bus) compared to an RV. Do you feel the Prevost is better than the Spartan chassis? I don't think you can find a better used RV than a Prevost though. Heather did an awesome job also
Court and Heather are very cool people. I like their spirit and sense of adventure.
Oh my gosh, you’re in my neighborhood! I’m in Apache Junction! Great job, girl!!!
Wat if u are towing a 22 ft stacker trailer??. Turning is gonna be a lil bit more difficult I would think. I'm buying a 45 ft with a stacker trailer.
I'd feel safe with her driving anytime, She did a great job.
Wait until you see my tow and backing up skills🤣🤣
😂😂😂
I just keep thinking how crazy expensive replacing that cracked windshield will be. It must be my OCD kicking in. Great driving.
I was thinking if I was close to you guys, I could teach you how to change those windshields. Could add it to your companies services. Not that difficult to do.
It just happened and we plan to swap the fridge out through the replacement just haven't scheduled it yet... but it's actually very inexpensive to replace
Ditto! Cringing at the $$$
Heather and Court - Nice to know that Prevost AND inexpensive CAN coexist in the same sentence! 🤣😎
@@toddmiller6104 very few things, but it can happen 🤣🤣🤣
Nice job Heather
Now you did it Andrew! You've been bit. Time to list your RV and get a Prevost
very cool, Heather and Court thanks for the adventure while driving with you. Love your IG also
That is one beautiful RV! Ninety degree city street corners would freak me out.
Loved it! Thanks for sharing! I have a new dream now 💙
That has been my lifetime dream to drive one of these! I have driven an international bus before....but never a Prevost!
You go girl I would have been relaxed riding with you and I'm speaking from experience im51years young And I have been driving huge commercial vehicles most of my adult life buses tractor trailer in my opinion as an experienced driver you did what I would have done 👌👏👍
Thank you!! That means a lot to me 🙏
@@midlifeprevost1182 you are very welcome sincerely 👍👌👏👏
So funny! to see the husband deflated when finding out the wife is a natural. And probably better than him.🤦♀️
Haha not a natural, took me a long time to work up the courage- next up backing up, 20 point turns into a tight RV park, and towing LOL
Robert he golfs all the time that's his golf tan 😁🤣
Nice driving and beautiful rv
A Prevost bus pollutes about 35 mph per gallon every minute with a refuel of 30 mph.
These guys cant do better. From the Netherlands
