    Good morning, the model 30 is about $1,500. more expensive then the Marantz PM8006. If your ever compared these model’s is the cost difference worth it? Besides power & esthetic’s they have the same inputs and outputs
    Thanks in advance

      Yeah, there is definitely a big price jump, what makes it hard is that they both have very different vibes sonically. The PM range has a much warmer tone than the Model 30 but the Model 30 has better dynamics. Unfortunately, because the Model 30 is a different range with different priorities to the PM range it makes it hard to do a direct comparison in that regard. You would really need to compare the 2 side by side to make a well-informed decision, but that said if you don't have the ability to do that the PM8006 is still a fantastic amplifier.

      @@living_entertainment I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to reply. I had an Amazon credit of $500.00 and decided to purchase the PM 8006 because I don’t listen very loudly so 70 watts should be plenty and I like the fact that there’s a mid range tone control but most importantly I felt that I would prefer it’s AB topology over the Model 30’s ncore hypex topology and I’m very happy with the unit. The Model 30 might have better dynamics as you stated but coming from an Onkyo TX-SR705 av receiver this PM blows it away. I have an older Arcam irDac and am using it with an external Sbooster liner power supply, I recently purchased the Denefrips Ares II and with my Node 2i and Oppo UDP203 connected too both and A/Bing them the older Arcam with its Burr Brown dacs sound much better especially the rhythm, pace, depth and better low end. Anyway I think you have an informative and honest channel and I wish you much luck and success going forward. Best✌🏼

    What are your thoughts on pairing the Model 30 pair with the LS50 Meta / KC62?

    • @living_entertainment
      @living_entertainment  3 года назад +1

      We haven't had a chance to pair the LS50 Meta up yet (and honestly we recommend pairing those speakers up with the KC62 when the option is there) but it might be something we revisit in a future video as we have got to pair up other speakers since filming with some very fun results.

    I am fan of Marantz Sound, could you please give a sound comparison between Marantz and Rotel? In this case Marantz Model 30 with Rotel RA 1572 MKII. Marantz is increasing their prices. I'm considering the Rotel RA 1572 instead of Model 30. Will be interesting to comparing the Marantz Model 30 vs Marantz PM 6007, could be existing any drastic difference in sound because in price is huge. Thanks in Advance!

    • @living_entertainment
      @living_entertainment  3 года назад +3

      We have found the Model 30 much MUCH more generous with speaker pairing than the Rotel RA 1572 MKII. It is significantly more detailed in terms of sound and imaging than the PM 6007 as well with enough power to drive speakers with more authority.

      Model 30 vs PM 6007? interesting, but $600 vs $2500? I hear people say the PM8006 is way better than the 6007.

    In all fairness your difference between the evo and b&w sounding surely the price difference between both these speakers counter that. Also your reviews in general seem to always favour b&w. You obviously like metal tweeters.

    • @living_entertainment
      @living_entertainment  2 года назад

      Not always the case, you can get killer sound pairing some cheaper speakers with higher-end amps and likewise, there are some expensive speakers that sound amazing on more entry-level amps as well.
      In terms of Metal, Daniel is the only person here who enjoys listening to it, and I don't think I have ever seen him play it on Bowers of any price level, he tends to stick to the Wharfedale Heritage line and Monitor Audio Gold series for the genre.
      Nat is the one that does most of the speaker and amplifier reviews and he tends to listen to mostly Americana and Soul.

  • @stephenhooper26
    @stephenhooper26 3 года назад

    Bit of a miss match the Bowers and Monitor speakers both over £3000 Wharefdale £1000 so I would expect the dearest speaker to perform better

    • @living_entertainment
      @living_entertainment  3 года назад +2

      Pricing is a little different in Australia and we have since paired it up with other speakers such as the B&W 703 S2 and Wharfedale Lintons and had exceptional results.

      the marantz 30 is NOt your typical class D . i had a vincent 237 mkll prior to the marantz and the sound stage and clarity is pretty much the same minus a bit of 3 dimensionality in the Marantz . however as i put more hours on the Marantz ,it is opening up and gaining some depth .the clarity is superb coupled with my polk L600s with very deep and tight bass very high highs and a creamy mid range . so far i love it .
