It's important to keep in mind that Muslim extremism is considered a right-wing ideology as well. Religious extremism is the same, no matter which religion they proclaim to follow. Republican politicians posing with guns in every campaign ad and calling for jihad is extremely frightening.
Remember when TV ads for cigarettes were banned in the US, because they were considered a bad influence on children that put their health at risk? I think sensationalizing guns in political ads is just as bad, if not worse.

We Must have clear distinct definitions of Separation between Church and State.

1) being afraid of a deity that a) almost certainly doesn't exist, b) if did exist, would not be the type of deity which would punish anyway per its nature (omnibenevolent)
2) thinking that subservience to a deity's commands or desires (which, btw, no one can agree on what any purported deity wants) is a) what morality consists of (this is the might makes right fallacy), b) how rational, adult people should decide what to do, as this "punish/reward" system is based on egoist concerns ("If I do this, "god" will punish me or reward me.").
That's not how ethics works: ethical conduct is done in principle not for one's self interests, but to benefit others regardless of the consequences (for good or ill) to oneself. Ethics is also not a simplistic dichotomy system (good/bad...reward/punish); that is only applicable to small children who are not yet cognitively developed enough to grasp that moral conduct is inherently done for reasons outside of one's narrow self interests, and thus they still need to be controlled via the reward/punishment system.

Reagan, Bush, and Trump got legislation passed getting tax breaks for the wealthy. Wealthy people control the six largest news outlets in the US and are using them to get Republican support using people with abortion, guns, religion, militarism, immigrants, welfare etc while they steal the country blind. Wealthy people should have been happy with the system that made them wealthy because they are creating a monster that will turn on them. Telling people that helping wealthy people helps everyone only goes so far which is why they are creating issues to get support wherever they can get it.

Malcolm Nance scares me with what he is saying. It's extremely compelling that he would say what he did based on his experience. American justice needs to STEP IT UP fast and start indicting, arresting, and charging all those who would oppose peaceful democracy and equal human rights for ALL colors and creeds with violence! When you believe it's ok to hurt your fellow man because he harbors beliefs that are different than yours, you need to step back and look in the mirror and ask yourself "Am I that perfect that others should fall before me because they do not adopt my very thinking?"
