Very cool. That was a nice, solid piece of agate. I started small lapidary projects a couple of years ago. It's fun but it takes me a while. Then I go to the gem show and see a bin full for a dollar or whatever. Oh well. The process is enjoyable.
Totally agree...I find the lapidary process quite relaxing! I was pleasantly surprised with that agate...I was happy to not have to fight fractures while working it!

Thanks! The sphere index jig came from sphereproducts.com. It was a bit spendy, but has sure made cutting sphere preforms easy!
