I know this video is older now but I have a 2011 smart, and the carpet seems to be wrapped around everything, the gas the brake, etc, is there another way to get the carpet up?

Thanks for this video! Is there any reason you put the new filter in with the filter folds at right angles to the way the old one had been installed (can see these at 2:08 - new - and 0:58 - old - respectively)?

The new filter must have rotated the filter folds, or marked the arrow on the other side. I was just trying to keep the arrow facing forward in the proper direction. I don't think the fold orientation matters as long as the directional arrow is consistent, and the filter fits the space. Thanks
