    I like this rapid-fire format. You were also able to play in ways that brought out the characters of the models.

    Thanks so much for sharing this information. Your channel deserves more subs. I wish there was more RUclips content on open source capture tech.

    I have the JCA22h! It is a great amp! You don't even need a selected preamp tube for stage 1. It is such a low noise amp and has the bassy lead channel you want for putting an OD in front for fat palm mutes. The crunch channel is from the 20H, a previous model that was a single channel only. Creamy as hell. These amps where ridiculously low priced when they where thrown onto the market.

      Awesome! I hope to pick one up someday. Seems like my vibe and the price is usually nice 👍

    Really appreciate the help via these videos, thank you.. I am new to using any DAW or NAM profiles. Also experiment with Genome through the free Cakewalk. I am a little confused where I should keep my Scarlett Solo gain knob, whether I should have the Direct button pressed? etc. Id just like to be able to use these profiles since they are great, in the proper way.
    Thanks again.

      Awesome! It is all a lot to take in at first. Good job getting started 👏 there is a lot of debate on how much gain you should use on our little interfaces for guitars. I believe if you keep it all the way it is the most "accurate" way for the amp sims to respond to the signal, but turning it up won't hurt you unless you are clipping. The "direct" button I think will only play your dry guitar signal through your speakers / headphones. Useful for vocals, but really for guitar. Good luck 👍

      Thank you so much Steven! Yes it definitely is a lot at first. I've spent the last two weeks on and off going through Tone hunt, learning what is a good capture and what may not be? Going through profiles etc.
      Very curious of NAMs development!

    Hello buddy loved your video...I've noticed that there's a instance of Ignites Nadir loaded, theres no ir there?
    because When I tried the same Nam profile here as your video with also no ir on the nam plugin, the sound is totally different...
    thank you

    • @stevenkambach
      @stevenkambach  5 месяцев назад

      Yes! I usually run my IRs in Nadir so I can use two IRs and blend them together to taste. Since NAM only has one IR loader I just leave it empty. Sorry for any confusion ❤️

  • @mandarello
    @mandarello 6 месяцев назад +3

    Good video, what kind of IR are you using, cause you are not loading any in NAM?

    • @stevenkambach
      @stevenkambach  6 месяцев назад

      I am using two IRs from Robot Dog Cabs. Two different mics on an Avatar cab. I like using a 3rd party loader, but it is not necessary by any means.

      @@stevenkambach sure wish you'd explain this since I am a begginer with this sim and don't understand why it sounds like crap with no IR

    thanks so much for the info, but im still stuck in latency after instaling it, do u know how to fix this?

    • @stevenkambach
      @stevenkambach  2 месяца назад

      Typically you have to drop your buffer size as low as it can go. Make sure to search how to do that in your specific DAW. I run Reaper at 64. Good luck 👍

  • @zambination11
    @zambination11 5 месяцев назад +1

    Wow. Incredible sounds! Do you use the IR's in Neural Amp Mod? Or do you have a different IR sim Vst?

    • @stevenkambach
      @stevenkambach  5 месяцев назад +1

      I usually use NadIR after NAM just because I like to blend 2 IRs together. IRs in NAM works fine too

    Looks like you have much less noise on crunchy models than I do. I know there's the gate knob but that has a quite unnatural result for me. Could be my Focusrite 2i2 acting up or maybe something I mess up royally?

    • @stevenkambach
      @stevenkambach  6 месяцев назад

      Probably not. High gain amp sims are noisy. I am just using the built in gate here

    How do I intergrate this into garageband? I am new to all of this but I have been messing with garagband and want to learn much more.

    • @stevenkambach
      @stevenkambach  4 месяца назад +1

      Welcome 🙏 you will need to learn about track FXs / plugins. Typically, you will put this on a single track with a dry guitar signal. Def look for videos on how to run pkugins in garage band. Good luck 👍

  • @trevor7234

    No need for an IR for these?

    • @stevenkambach
      @stevenkambach  4 месяца назад +2

      Depends on the profile. Most will need an IR, but some are full rig profiles. They should say in the profile description
