Thad Thomas I wish I was around then, I went to their most recent tour freedom to rock. it was my first, possibly my last, I don't think they'll come to Dayton again... :(
+Zach Randolph You're from Dayton, OH! Hara arena, been there a few times, myself! I'm in Middletown, OH. As the name suggests, I'm between Dayton and Cincinnati.
Thad Thomas I'm just asking... You went to a concert at the age of 10? Good Lord, you realy did start early! lol! I'm 51, and didn't get my start till maybe 17 or so. In Ohio you have to be at least 18 to enter an Arena, but I have been prematurely "gray" since age 13. That in itself got me into the bars, etc. @ age 15, so I've been around the block maybe three times already myself! 😞
I am not, nor have I ever been a really big KISS fan, but they do have a few songs that I really like, Dr. Love being one of them. Love em' or hate em', KISS worked their butts off to become what they became and who they are today. As far as talent and all that stuff goes, Rock-N-Roll has no rules as far as I'm concerned! Plug in a few amps, turn the volume all the way up, pound the skins as hard as you can and sing out loud what you want and how you want with conviction...now that's Rock-N-Roll!
AirGunWarriors yes they did! I do remember a write up they had. It said they were a family friendly band not too offensive for kids etc. and they put up a great show!!
I always find it funny when people say these guys have no talent. Just goes to show that people can’t see beyond the makeup or don’t want to. These guys are great players. Are they Led Zeppelin? No, but they can outplay most bands of that time period. Take the cotton out of your ears.
The intro to this sound is classic. The song is simple and direct to the point. The guitar solo is truly awesome. I have loved this song since the Kiss Alive II album came out in 1977. This song will still rock in a 100,000 years!
Those riffs are like improved Mountain riffs...tight and boxy...Kiss grew on me. The whole thing is an amazing production...4 one of kind guys...no substitutions.
Seen these guys at Alpine Valley in WI...... They rocked, love their music. Been listening to them since 1976 when a teen. To finally see them was a dream come true.
Rock and roll the fuck out, Flashback, wiesbaden w germany circa 1977 just purchased album, a marantz receiver, bose speakers pioneer turntable and an akai reel-to-reel stereo system blasting "doctor love" to the amusement and enjoyment of some of my fellow soldiers on that august saturday afternoon, downing mugs of germany's finest bier and lebanese hash
I've been a kiss fan for a long time love this jam still listening in 2019 glad to see some exposure by Crowder getting the younger people into this badass band
This album was my introduction to Kiss at a friends house in the plains of Colorado on their farm, Way out in the middle of America kids there grew up and learned to rock on Kiss!!
The older version was better musically, but this one sounds cleaner and heavier, which is better for rocking out if you have good speakers. I guess it's all about personal preference
I think it was seventh grade when I heard "Dr Love" the first time. I had the lyrics memorized within a day or two. Now some 45? Wow years later u hear the song again for the first time again. As I was getting in to it's raw simplist and bad ass groove there wasn't a word I sang wrong. Now does this mean I have a great memory or does it mean the song is dust that friggin cool? I think I'll play it again. KISS You, in my mind are a corner Stone in what rock is today. Thanks man
no matter how old I get, I will never forget my up-bringing. Kiss was there, and I was Rockin' and Rollin! Maybe not the best band around, but the most memorable band of all time- No Doubt! KISS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Good Day My Fellow Rocker!
My HS buddies and I would cruise around in the evenings rolling doobs with a ton of seeds in a 78 Cordoba listening to Rock and Roll over on a cassette back in 86.I miss those guys.
I'm 12 and this is all I listen to is rock and roll My favorite bands are KISS, Def Leppard, Pink Floyd, Ozzy, Tesla, and Steve Miller Band see they made a big difference in my life I'm so glad my dad raised me with the right music
believe it or not there is a for real Dr. Love in our area that is in pain management field. I crack-up every time as I code for the medical field and none of the other coder young'uns believe me when I tell them there is a kiss song "calling dr love" and a motley crue song "dr. feelgood"..lol their loss..it would be hilarious if dr love would have a commercial combining the 2 songs..any way..NOT that a'int going to happen..just found it ironic and hilarious at the same time!
I hate to say this, but being that the Vocals and Backing Vocals were enhanced, I like this slightly over the original. Thayer and Singer did a decent job as well, coming from a huge Ace fan.
Don't listen to that guy, he doesn't know what he's talking about. The vocals on this version are so much better than the original. This one also has a heavier sound.
STEVE STONE DELUXE To each their own. I just feel the original was poorly produced and recorded. And the vocals just sound bad, especially the backup vocals.

Drums not as good as the original, although who knows there are several versions of this posted and I'm not sure I know which is really the original studio recording.
Louder with Crowder made spoof of this called Dr Trump. Had to come listen to the song. 2019.
Quite frankly, so did I
@@ontheraggedy bro i haven't listened to this song in a long ass time
I even went to their most recent concert in AZ
I listen to country. The only reason I know this is exists is Louder with crowder.
MrWatchmenfan what’s real gay? That I listen to country? I listen to old country, and stuff like lynryd skynyrd. That new country crap is what’s gay.

Freakin TIMELESS! Been listening to KISS since I was 9, Iam 49 now and I never get tired of them! They were my first concert ,EVER back in 1977!!!
Thad Thomas I'm also 49. And saw Kiss twice in the 1970s. Wow great times.
Introduced to this album when i was 11, kiss fanatic for years!!!

What parody? The Trump one?
I am not, nor have I ever been a really big KISS fan, but they do have a few songs that I really like, Dr. Love being one of them. It is
It takes more than just loud volume and banging skins to create great music, AirGunWarriors. Are you a fan of the Doyle Hargraves Band?
AirGunWarriors yes they did! I do remember a write up they had. It said they were a family friendly band not too offensive for kids etc. and they put up a great show!!
I always find it funny when people say these guys have no talent. Just goes to show that people can’t see beyond the makeup or don’t want to. These guys are great players. Are they Led Zeppelin? No, but they can outplay most bands of that time period. Take the cotton out of your ears.
I am and have always been a huge kiss fan since I was 6 but this is the re recorded version
This is one of the greatest rock songs of all times it just simply rocks
Cool man I just sat through a Lysol toilet commercial for dr love, Thanks Gene i'll rush and clean my fucking toilet.
The intro to this sound is classic. The song is simple and direct to the point. The guitar solo is truly awesome. I have loved this song since the Kiss Alive II album came out in 1977. This song will still rock in a 100,000 years!
Here from the parody. So I may be addicted to this song...
What parody?
iplayloud2 Steven Crowder's Dr Trump
Those riffs are like improved Mountain riffs...tight and boxy...Kiss grew on me. The whole thing is an amazing production...4 one of kind guys...no substitutions.
Kiss are timeless. The music never gets old.
They always aimed to be The Beatles of rock'n'roll, catchy heavier songs
im so happy my parents took me to a kiss concert, best thing ever!!
Best Kiss guitar tone ever, and quite possibly the coolest album cover of all time.
Kiss Alive is my favorite cover!
One of Ace's best solos I'd say
This isn't Ace, or 70's KISS for that matter. This was redone in 2011 with a different lineup. Plus the autotuned vocals suck.
Same here!
I see you like KISS and wrestling...you're ok with me, bro
That isn't Ace singing.. It is Gene.. ruclips.net/video/CRMnCRoDguc/видео.html

KISS another one of the coolest bands!
This version could be a hit today. Fantastic.
The older version was better musically, but this one sounds cleaner and heavier, which is better for rocking out if you have good speakers. I guess it's all about personal preference
Hate this version. Genes vocals suck.
first album and no turning back after that, fan for life....

Saw them in concert two years ago, I think. Buckcherry opened for 'em. One helluva concert.
This is for sure kiss
Kiss rocks.
This was the first rock and roll 8 track I ever owned. Dr. Love was my favorite song on the album!
More cowbell.
Dink, Dink! Thar ya go.
Are you sure it's not a "bonk, bonk" sound?
The absolute song that got me hooked on KISS!!!!
I was a naive 12 year old black kid living in Jersey City and was in love with rock and roll when this song first aired on the radio.
i fucking love kiss
one of my favorite albums, had the concert t shirt. good memories.
the song Dr love song best kiss song
The drums, lead vocals and Ace's solo from old version. The rest has been re-recorded and remixed.
I actually have a t shirt that has this album cover on the front
Joseph Stalin coolio
Peter Criss doing what he does. Most under rated drummer ever.

Yup. I saw them back in 2009 and Buckcherry opened for them. I am looking out for tickets now because I want to see them on tour for Monster.
There's just one problem.
I GOTTA HAVE MORE COWBELL
There's just one problem: That ain't KISS. It's an impostor copy.
Which particular version is this? I like it better than the official on the kiss youtube page

I hate to say this, but being that the Vocals and Backing Vocals were enhanced, I like this slightly over the original. Thayer and Singer did a decent job as well, coming from a huge Ace fan.
Dr. Trump
This is one of few Rock & Roll Album that is "perfect." Just press play it again & again.
Is it bad I like this version of the song more than the original Rock and Roll Over version?
No! This version, I think, has a way better feel to it than the original.
absolutely. because is horrible
Don't listen to that guy, he doesn't know what he's talking about. The vocals on this version are so much better than the original. This one also has a heavier sound.
This one is a cover song. And I know exactly what I am talking about.

A reasonable fax. Good job, whoever you are. But this not Kiss.
