On disassembly, there's no thermal paste on the left-hand rectangle/buffer, as there wasn't on my x260 either. This left pad is in fact located at a point corresponding to a hole in the heat pipe plate, as can be seen at 04:37. When he reassembles it, he puts thermal paste on this left pad, which is at best useless (since there's a hole above it, not a plate) and at worst harmful... (if it's a temperature sensor, for example...).
Saya pakai Thinkpad x260 downgrade ke windows 7 jadi lebih lancar dan tidak panas ..sepertinya laptop jadul ini kurang cocok dengan OS terbaru karena spesifikasi nya 😅
Awesome but: 1. Use an oil, not WD-40 (equivalent used in this video) 2. The smaller die (PCH) on the CPU package should not have thermal paste. The heat from the CPU will transfer heat to the much lower temperature running PCH and increase its temperature.

Maaf mau tnya , thinkpad x260 anak saya , klo awal d hidupkan layar mnyala normal , tp stelah lama kmudian , timbul layar runyek sprti tv rusak...dan d sbelah kiri bwah timbul hawa pnas yg mnyebabkan batre cepat hbis ... Mhon pncerahan ny utk msalah d atas itu ... Krusakan ny apa . Trims 😊
Honestly, it's the best x260 disassembly that inlcudes thermal paste replacement and fan cleaning that I've seen on YT so far
