I too had this problem, Tips:
    1) Loosen your body.
    2) Control your breathing, many times we dont breathe from stomach but chest. BREATHE FROM STOMACH..
    3) Challenge yourself more often.

A book I found, Stop Stuttering Short Course: How to Break the Stuttering Code, helped me immensely. That book helped me way more than my speech therapist ever did for me.

As an overthinker and fast speaker, I possess this issue. I cut out that idea that whoever speaks fast is more confident. I would be so pissed that i cant get the words out fully and be perceived wrongfully. Started writing stuff down if the setting let me. 😢😊

This is why I prefer to type. I already can type fast but I also trained my wordpad to predict and finish words for me. This way I can write about 300 words per minute. With some error that I'll have to catch afterwards.

Thank you for sharing your tips on vocal fluency - it's great to see people supporting each other here.
I did want to mention that your headline might be a bit misleading. While your tips are definitely helpful, I think it's important to recognise that stuttering management is complex and can be different for everyone. Your tips might not be a complete fix for everyone, but they could certainly be a useful addition to someone's toolkit.
I'm in my sixties and have been a lifelong stutterer, so I know how challenging it can be. I've found that managing my fluency requires a range of techniques and protocols, which I have worked on continually over my lifetime, and I'm very happy with the results I have achieved.
For others, it might be different. Fatigue, stress and anxiety can all play a role (they do for me), so it's important to have a variety of strategies to help manage stuttering.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my perspective. Good luck to everyone on your journey - it's tough, but it can also be incredibly rewarding with the strength of character and confidence it builds 💫

I stumbled upon your videos when searching how to become a more confident speaker, I have a tik tok where I eventually want to share life stories as we all have a story to tell. But I cringe so hard every time I record myself speaking. I decided to practice and apply your tips. My plan is to record myself speaking on certain topics for a month or two and hopefully improve so I can finally start posting my videos. As a long life introvert and social anxiety sufferer I want to build my confidence

Go for it! Pushing through that had barrier of speaking infront of people (even if it's only online) is a wonderful way to improve your sense of ease and self confidence in social situations.
And just a tip - everyone cringes the first time they hear their own voice. But it's a great way to "improve" your delivery.

    I had a similar problem
Did a few vocal exercises and started taking pauses when i speak (which gives more clarity & time to form sentences)
And within a few weeks or a month , i could speak way more clearly
    But practice is important
    Try to be consistent

    • @punarnavaviswanath4304
      @punarnavaviswanath4304 9 месяцев назад +3

      @@ThePochomex mainly 3 exercises :
      1. Making that engine-like sound using lips 😂 ( which I bet every one of us might have done , as a kid)
      2. Pronouncing all the alphabets in this pattern (leaving vowels)
Ba ba ba... ba ba ba... Ba ba ba...
Ca ca ca...ca ca ca....ca ca ca...
.....so on till Z [ there is a channel called Improve your voice - check it out)
      3. Keep a pencil or a pen between your upper & lower teeth
Bite n hold then try to read a paragraph

    • @punarnavaviswanath4304
      @punarnavaviswanath4304 9 месяцев назад +1

@@ThePochomexalso you gotta be consistent with these
If you practice this for a month or so you'll do great
But if you stop , in a month or so it may return
But if you do it for like 6 months then you'll be at much better spot than before

I have essential tremor and completely breakdown when trying to provide information to others or happen to be in the spotlight. Because of my shaking it distracts me from my message. For some reason I do extremely well in virtual presentations as well as teaching yoga when I'm not the object of attention. I have a new job that requires more confidence and authority. Will definitely look at different ways I can work with you. Trying not to hold back my potential because of this disability. So uncomfortable 😢

No it does not work all the time. Your stammer occurs due to your abnormal respiration. First try to make your breathing fluent and persistent.

I've tried to address my stutter by slowing my speech down, but I've found what's happening is that when I slow down and try to be more methodical, the energy level of my speech slows down and people start to think I'm uninterested. This has proven to be a major obstacle during my job search, as I've been told on a few occasions that I seemed disinterested, which is not the case at all.

There is a tendency to start the speech immediately when we enter the stage , hence there are multiple thoughts running in and out about the topic all the time....Hope you read this Vinh and give some of your insights....These are great tips nonetheless 👍

Ok so I do all of this. I had speech therapy when I was a child. I had issues with the hard R sound, which in America my name is a hard R sound (thats extremely embarrassing to stutter over your own name) and also th sounds. So the word the is hard for me. I stutter over it. But its not every time I use the word the. Ive gotten it to where 85% of the time I say the word the or my name, I am fine and don’t stutter. But the remainder of the time is just so frustrating.

I have 2 add on questions to this issue:
Some people will perceive you slow or not smart, especially in debates or tense talks.
Would you use the same skills here or do something similar to them? With practice of the mention skills you will get faster?
    Blessings
