It's amazing how the lowers have changed within the past 3 years from bulky needing hose clamps to speaker designs speaking of. Any experience with riptiderails 2 piece rear rails for g19's?
The design shown has been around for a while, as long if not longer than the hose clamp design. It's a different way to do the same, both with its ups and downs.
Yeah this is not an "upgrade" from a Hoffman design. Just different. The Hoffman design hasn't changed much either, and you can still do push-ups on it. I prefer building the Hoffman actually, because if your Ubolt isn't properly ground you'll snap the threaded portion of the receiver trying to install the buffer tube.
Twice the recoil energy, basically. Add an AR-10 buffer spring and a heavy buffer weight to get good function like him. A standard buffer spring and buffer weight might induce malfunctions periodically due to cycling too fast.
ar47s are a lot of fun. I have like 4 ARs that I'll basically never be able to get rid of. 1 5.56 rifle, 1 pistol. 1 7.62x39 rifle, 1 9mm pistol. the lowers are all andersons. 1 upper is a PSA, 2 are BCA, and the 9mm upper is an Anderson upper with a ballistic advantage 8.3" barrel. The 9mm I assembled myself.
the baby mags are great
The commie colts are a pretty esoteric platform. They were and still are entirely underrated.
is 762 cheap again yet?
It’s more expensive than 556 everywhere I look
About a dollar a round in Southern California

How's the recoil on that thing compared to 5.56?
