    The Curtsy Lunge is an amazing variation to add to your training!
    The angle gives you an awesome glute stretch while strengthening as you go through reps.
    If you find these super easy then spice them up a little by adding some weight! 🌶️
    Also create a small deficit by using a step, this increases the range of motion to enhance your flexibility while getting stronger!

      Would this be safe for someone who is a few weeks post lower lumbar microdiscectomy?
      It looks like it would be ok for what I must NOT do- Bend front, Lift over 10 pounds, Twist at the waist.
      It looks like all the movement is hip based and I am going NUTS wanting to move in more ways than just a Frankenstein Monster plodding along in a bolt upright position.

    Terrific! I do these when playing Tai Chi and can add a subtle posture challenge by reaching up with one or both arms while curtseying.

    I like doing these with a over head dumbell on one side for core stability

      just to help show that mobility stuff isn't meant to be a big deal, you can be wearing whatever you want to do this stuff!

    what if you have flat feet. there s an enormous strech in the deltoid ligament

      Jenni (in the video) actually has very flat feet, so it's still possible! You may need to move a little slower at first while your body builds strength and adapts to the position

    So helpful to see someone doing these in slow mo without weights!
    They have come up for me numerous times in different fitness classes and I could not wrap my head around the movement and I felt so unstable!
    Now I get it! I followed along and did a few more on my own and felt stable and strong.

    I thought I was doing what I call curtsy lunges when I can’t get my knee to floor when it hurts in a backwards lunge! Clearly not! I didn’t know this was an actual thing. I’ll have to rename what I do! Half lunge?! 😅
