    Crisp audio, not that its very important in my enjoyment of these plays that the audio is this good but when the sound is this good it allows me to listen without headphones. Been with chillys channel now for over a year. Thanks a million my friend. Spent many sleepless nights here. Greetings from new jersey.

    I have listened to many many of these fantastic shows and they're a form of tonic that lifts my spirit cuz, a) they're so well written and performed, b) my favourite actor in them is Robert Dryden and he played two characters in this story, c) this was without a doubt (but only in my opinion guys n girls!!!) one of the best episodes I've heard!! I wish these were known about by more people as they truly deserve to be and here endeth the sermon.

    I am not a gun expert and my knowledge of shotguns/rifles is limited but, I would believe that if a rifle dropped to the ground hard enough for it to discharge, there would have to be some kind of damage to the rifle! There should be some kind of markings, somewhere, indicating that it may have hit a hard surface. If the ground was soft, I would be less likely to believe that it discharged.

    • @mitchsalawine5420
      @mitchsalawine5420 4 года назад +5

      A good point. All modern firearms made since 1970 have transfer bar safeties or internal clockwork which all but alleviate the possibility for accidental discharge from being dropped. I've noticed this from a lot of Sam Danns stories. He was not a firearms expert. Which is rather incredible as he was an infantryman in WWII! Fantastic and prolific writer though.

    Another fantastic episode superior sound quality from the broadcast from NPR in the early 2000’s with Hyman Brown replacing e.g. marshal as narrator I hope more of the superior sound recordings become available. As far as the story goes you reap what you sow. June 8, 2020

    Thank you for all your effort. It's much appreciated. I remember these shows so clearly. Speaking of clear, the sound quality is amazing. I wish all the episodes sounded this great. This is a terrific episode. Karma is a very powerful force. I dislike Himan Brown's voice, but that's very minor in the grand scheme.

      It's about corporate corruption and unethical practices in the pharmaceutics industry. And about how the rich and powerful are above the law. Mel's aversion to killing animals was just thrown in there to establish that he'd be unwilling to keep a medicine on the market that might kill people.
