This song became affiliated with a TF2 Community map named "Wacky Races" and thereby the connection between this and the game. Due to how old the game is, the welcoming community, the easy to learn, hard to master style of the classes, and being free, this game is imbued into many childhoods for kids born from mid 1990s to even now. Any boy (and maybe girl) has probably played the game once, and id say at least 60% of them joined the conglomerate that is the community. Unfortunately the game is in a semi cursed state, being years without updates, a constant cheat script running BOT problem plaguing official servers, Valve silencing free to play players completely to stop the bots for like two weeks, and the community feeling like it would turn on itself over tiny things. The community itself making maps and mods, along with unique aspects like Demoknight, Being Friendly, and other special mechanics unseen in other FPS games, is honestly the last thing stopping this giant from falling further than it has.
