I'm 55 and stumbled across this. What I see is young people who have found a harmless outlet for creativity, art, dance and music. I think their look is fantastic. Keep doing what you're doing.
I'm 50 and I was there for the 80s version of industrial dance clubs and I am cringing in disappointment on how this genre of music and clothing style downgraded from the early waxtrax records to this.... and for all of the fate keeping these knuckleheads done they managed to kick out all the OGs just so they can what they call dance like this... the 80s industrial music and dancers had actual rhythmic with talent ..... what you see here is low effort movement mixed with an embarrassing amount of cosplay... in the 80s up to the mid 90s industrial kids had to find their clothes at military surplus store and not a mall ... our only hope is that gen Z will bring back industrial music the way it was intended to be played... gen z is already sporting techwear which is 100 times much cooler than pink furry boots and cheap vinyl jackets...
I'm an old cyber goth myself and now I'm just a regular old goth at the ripe old age of 28 lol 😄 But I do seriously miss dancing like this and raving 😩 Still listen to and love the music though! 💜 And for those making fun of the dancing or saying they look stupid, look none of use judge you or pick on you for flossing, dabbing and for any other new mainstream form of dancing you all do...So don't pick on them! 😖 js lol
I am 55 and I love this Industrial Goth dancing of today. I have been into Goth and Industrial since the beginning with Chrome & Throbbing Gristle, Laibach, Front 242, Lords, Thrill Kill, Meat Beat Manifesto and whatever is current today. I hope my 3 year old daughter will like this scene.
As long as people are having fun and expressing themselves without hurting others idk why anyone cares what group they are in or not in. I like the cloths a lot! Very industrial 🤐
I'm older, have a teenage son, who is different yet enjoys who he is, and I love it. These people, regardless of age, race, style, whatever- are enjoying themselves and are being active. Most seem completely happy. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
iDrum Ustrum What? Technically these folks outside of main stream acceptance. KINDA HOE TATTOOS AND PIERCINGS were when I was a kid. It is what it is and I apologize if the logic of my comments escape you.

I like how people react as if this actually affects them in a real way. Okay, you don't like the music or the dancing. Maybe you find it cringey. However, nothing they are doing is actually affecting you so why be so hateful and cruel? Why act as if you need to move out of your country now? They're having fun. God forbid someone has fun in a different way from you.
All this is new to me too, yet I'm sure there's things and music I like that other people would find odd. You are right, they are just enjoying themselves and it's not a crime.

That was an awesome compilation, seeing all these wonderful people all over the world sharing their enjoyment of motion and rythm, it makes me smile big time =)
I was a bit skeptical when the video started but it's actually pretty well put together. I like that it could lead to people looking up the ordinal vids. The timing is pretty good considering they were not all dancing to this track originally. Nice compilation.
It's easy to match up any of this dancing to any music because they all listen to the same EBM style music which has a pretty rigorously fixed BPM. Throw on VNV Nation - Electronaut: It's got a completely different time signature (3/4) but it still mixes perfectly with Joy.
Honestly.. as much as I am connected to that era... So much of me was patiently waiting for "FINISH HER" to flash across the screen at any given moment.

One of the best parts of this dance, Industrial, Goth, Punk, all of the more alternative dances was that you didn't have to worry about guys coming up and trying to grind on you; you just punched them in the face and kept dancing.
