- Jesse recently rerecorded live drums for the song "Human Target", the title track from the latest album by his band Thy Art Is Murder.
The drums you hear are a live, non-sample augmented performance with the exception of a trigger blended with the kick mic. There was no editing on this performance.

I've been using this song as my benchmark for testing speakers/headphones ever since I heard it. TAIM's tones are so dialed, they make it easy to tell how well a speaker responds. Also the fill into the double bass riff at 1:23 makes me lose my mind. fucking brilliant stuff!

Wanna know a secret? You can actually make even cheap ass drums sound great. With the same snare depth you could replicate this sound.
Now as far as playing said snare like this dude? You're on your own with that one.

The sonic properties of spun or hand hammered brass are really not that great. It's just brass, a semi precious expensive metal.

nahmadic Does it actually belong to Craig? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen him use that exact same one live here in Toronto and it sounded enormous. Regardless, the sound in this video does it no justice☹️
@@TunnelJumper I'm not sure tbh. I think I remember Craig saying he left his snare there for his US tours and let Will Putney use it and then gave it to him when he said he wanted it and got a new one (or maybe just new hoops) from VK. I could be remembering that completely wrong 😂

Liam Harlow they are much smoother and more responsive than the axis pedals I’ve used. I believe the build quality is the highest in the industry, definitely check them out
