In the MF Ghost Manga, it was said that Kanata's car have a top speed of 200KM/H, which is equal to about 120mph.
Kanata's 86GT isn't limited by game, that is just how the car's top speed is in lore

I really hope Shigeno blends the two stories by introducing old keisuke and old takumi etc etc. I mean you may as well. MF ghost is a funny storyline. Self driving race cars. I wouldn't want to watch that. Racing to me is pitting humans against each other in the ultimate game of chess. The feeling and raw emotions of not wanting to lose is the best... Sure computer controlled cars would know the "theoretical" best line, but something has to be said for the human fighting spirit of being fast no matter what line you find yourself on. Kinda like Joshima Toshiya.

I remember reading some of the MF Ghost manga and characters like Fumihiro show up as well as Ryosuke briefly when they find out the main character could possibly be Takumi's apprentice due to his driving in the MFG series.
Do you even read the manga? Kezookoo with Kenta appeared directly face to face in chapter 40

I think they model the cars after reference pictures rather than laser scanning, which is obviously very expensive to do.
