What
??? i'm laughing and i dont even know why
Whoever runs this BAFTA account seems like such a memer. Good.
AHAHAHAHA
hahahahahhaha.. in 2021 i really needed this
My favorite parts
1. Helen's little yay after announcing the name
2. Alan's little run up the stage
3. "Subtly isn't everything."
I loved the obvious enthusiasm from the audience when Alan was mentioned as one of the nominees.
And Helen Mirren's 'I always wanted to do this'. The anouncement as host. Damn Dame, what a career and fun she have.
"Subtlety isn't everything."
Pure Alan Rickman. A true star, on and off the screen.
And ,,Fame isn't everything"
Severus Snape ;)
Examples of people like Alan Rickman and Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine show that you can turn chewing the scenery into a glorious art form.
he looks like an angel nobody would ever say he played the best badies ever
+cristina willigs it was his hair. Every time he played a bad guy, he had to wear a dark wig.
He looks like an angel for sure! he's wonderful!
Not really, moggfree, when he played The Interrogator in the Closet land, he wasn´t wearing any.
Well he is the Metatron afterall.
Well, you know what they say, it's usually the nice actors who play the best badies.
He aged like fine wine and his voice I still swoon over.
I just watched Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and my god...Alan’s performance was amazing. He deserved this and should’ve been nominated for an Oscar.
Alan so handsome here , love the movement of his hair while walking thru chairs, he looks shy and sexy ...and finally his manly voice mmm!. Yes , missing Rickman! (Helen Mirren looks so good)
Devastated. What an awful loss. What an amazing legacy he has left.
Love that he knows what an over the top scene stealing performance he gave. Robin Hood was my first real exposure to him and how amazing he was. God I'll miss him. RIP Alan
He turned down the role twice. The third time it was offered, he was given permission to play it however the hell he wanted.
I left the theater after seeing the film with some girlfriends saying, “The Sheriff of Nottingham was hot, I’d have tapped that one.”
Robin Hood was my introduction to Alan Rickman. He was the best thing about that ridiculous movie. Errol Flynn is still the best Robin Hood and always will be.
1:16 Alan Rickman was all class. Miss this actor.
One of the greatest ''villain'' actors ever. Do you remember Hans Grueber in die hard? Perfect...definitely the best actor in that film all day every day.
The amazing thing about that movie is that in addition to Rickman's legendary villain, it also had one of the best "slimeball" characters with that guy Ellis. Ellis, Burke in Aliens, the Mayor in Jaws - the holy trinity of slimeballs.
His very first film role. Way to hit the ground and keep on rolling.
I absolutely ADORED him..pure genius. RIP, Alan. 😪💔
Alan Rickman, Hands down the BEST Bad guy Actor EVER!! And off screen he was so nice and humble.
How Helen was happy, he won! All of Great Britain misses him deeply. This island is a so much sadder place without him.
I go there, either way because it's beautiful and everytime I'm there I can sense his spirit.
By the way: I'm so happy he was there with Rima. Bless you, Rima! May you find comfort in every nice line written or said to you!
RIP! Alan Rickman! thank you for the movies!
Love how he used his words so sparingly and so well. Made you hang on every... single...word ❤️
Back when Awards had class!
the first role I ever saw him in. rip alan xx
So am I ;-)
Shame the film wasn't titled the sheriff of Nottingham coz his performance in the film was brilliant
Alan is art!!!!
Rocío Chávez ...I totally agree!
01:27. Haha funny how Alan rises is marvelous voice. He looks so handsome, love his hair!. The legendary Sheriff of Nothingham evil but witty and so hot! created by the great and gifted Mr.Rickman....unforgetable, rest well!
Clearly....subtlety...isn't...everything. Is it, Mr Potter?
He will be missed, never forgotten. He always brought gravitas' to his roles and I especially loved him playing a non-villain in Love Actually. RIP
Alan was beautiful inside out, there will be no one like him,its heartbreaking and frustrating that He is no more,it feels i am being stabbed or something has broken inside me,He deserved to live a happy and peaceful life,He was an asset,a treasure,a gem 💎,kohinoor 💎He was too good for this world!nothing can fill this void!
one thing that delights me is that his fans have kept his name alive people still feel bad about his absence ,we will never forget this Immaculate person,Alan was an Angel 😇 ❤❤❤❤& Angels never die they rule your heart and stay there forever!
I love the way he spoke. He made every roll he ever had interesting because of that.
He's so beautiful good grief
Sooooooo beautiful.. his best soul lives on ❤️
He's about the most beautiful creature I have ever seen!😍🥰🤗 lovely man, lovely soul
Lol. What everyone calls humble and shy is clearly his calm inner stability and deep confidence in himself.
We miss you, Mr. Rickman. 🌹💚 ALWAYS.
A brilliant acceptance speech - short, smart, genuine, memorable.
Rip my favorite actor
REST IN PEACE, ALAN RICKMAN 💚 Miss him so much
He acted Kevin Costner off the screen.
Aw snap
Kevin Costner nearly ruined the movie with his god awful performance.
@@adambomb30 behave, he wasn't bad in the film. He was no different than in any other film he's been in and no one had any issues about those. People just love to nitpick about his accent but they fail to realize that NONE of the accents are accurate for that time period
@@McKamikazeHighlander Well said 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@adambomb30 true. Rickman CARRIED it!!!
man, I can't believe he's gone......such a good actor
"Subtly isn't everything"
My mind : fame isn't everything
Yeah!
I will always love him. His voice, his soul, his intelligence… there really are no words to say how much I miss him. And I never knew him. I would say that is a testimony to his genius.
RIP Alan 💖💖💖
In his chosen field, Alan Rickman was what we refer to as "A Pro"
Definitely miss this guy.
He's so humble, i love him 😩🤍
Exactly what I was thinking
Ohhh God!!! Professor Snape looks hot...🔥😻😍
that's the movie where I was first introduced to the amazing Alan Rickman--he was so delightful!
He's the most beautiful creature I've ever seen... He's an angel now, and still beautiful ❤️😍
He was unique.. In my heart, ALWAYS.
Brilliant comment,brilliant delivery,brilliant actor.
Beloved Alan
Well at least he didn't use a spoon
Or cancel Christmas.
"It's Good Steel...."
Subtlety is not everything words to live by.
Alan Rickman, I miss you, may God have mercy on you 💔😭
Never saw this before. Very cute. Thanks for posting.
Alan Rickman and Helen Mirren on the same screen!
Oh, that's right... they did finally work together, in _Eye in the Sky_ , his last film.
Also on stage in ‘ Antony and Cleopatra’, in the leading roles, at the National Theatre. I really enjoyed seeing it.
@@genny9026 Wow, that would have been something to see live.
@@ariochiv Yes, it was. 😁👍🏻 I also saw Alan in ‘ Hamlet, ‘ Tango at the end of Winter’ and ‘ Private Lives’. He was amazing.
Notice how he got an reaction when his name was mentioned? No one else did. I am sure all the nominees were wonderful but Alan just stood out. RIP ALAN💕
I guess he knew was going to win. The only of three nominated to attend the event
Nearly a decade before HP
RIP :'(
so deserved! best performance!
Alan Rickman RIP
Legend
“Clearly, fame isn’t everything.”
He was absolutely the best thing about that movie. Bad guy? What bad guy? :)
RIP WAISE YOUR WANDS IF YOU SEE THIS /*
I watch things just to hear his voice. I loved him as the sheriff of Nottingham, and I loved him as Colonel Brandon in sense and sensibility and I’m as mad as hell that I can’t find dogma because it’s not released in the United States I believe it’s being kept in the house of Disney and they will never release it again for God knows what reason. But I do I listen and watch sometimes I just close my eyes and listen when I am at my most stressful he’s like magic therapy. I miss him so much.😢❤
Love how the room reacts to his nomination alone, and Helen Miren's yay. Listening to his dairy on audio book. A delight. X
Can we just give it up for the sax solo playing Brian Adams?
Miss you Alan ❤😢
Love him
I search for Alan and sev....always. ...........😢😔😔😔
Still
Is it, Bryan Adam's everything I do playing in the background
Yep 😁
R.I.P.
He is brilliant
Alan STOLE ALL scenes in Robin Hood. Did you hear the audience when she read his name? The audience truly loved him in this role. I once heard that Kevin Costner got mad and was trying to stifle Alan in his role in Robin Hood. Maybe a little jealousy, Kevin? Why not embrace the role of Robin and welcome Alan with all his talent and what he can bring to his role and this film. No need for jealousy and competition. Rickman was AWESOME in his role in Robin Hood. I LOVE his sense of humor. I loved watching him. I loved (that VOICE💕💕💕) listening to him and just enjoyed him throughout this movie. Flawless! RIP, Beautiful 💕💕💕
Such a fantastic actor!
Alan Bates and Derek Jacobi are shocked
Hope to see him at his next premiere.
TOP 5 Villain off all time (1) Darth Vader (2) Falconetti (3) Hans Gruber - Alan Rickman
He was the absolute BEST thing about that utter dog turd of a movie. Actually, that could be said for nearly every movie he was ever in, even if they weren't bad.
And, other than Alan winning, the absolute BEST thing about this ceremony that I've just learned: Audrey Hepburn was in that room somewhere!
❤❤❤❤
It WAS a dog turd of a movie- but Alan was just wonderful. For anyone who disagrees, I'll cut your heart out with s spoon. ( I used to have a boyfriend who said " I'll stab you in the heart with a broken pencil ")
Every single award including Oscar bafta sag critics choice and golden globe that Alan should have been had for every single villain role especially playing the late great severus Tobias snape George of Nottingham and Hans Gruber he would have been the greatest badass iconic legendary villain actor of all time thank you for being so good at being bad we ❤ and miss you so much rip alan our favorite badass legendary iconic villain hero of all time
The best villain ever... Miss that guy!
Well deserved I love you Rickman aka Hans Gruber❤
It's so great to know that Alan Rickman DID win a great award for that role. He really stole the show in parts of it.
Personally, I LOVE Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves. It's a great popcorn movie. Yeah, Costner doesn't have an English accent. That aside, that movie is a GREAT adventure yarn, and just a damn FUN movie. Hate on it all you want. I saw it 3 times on the big screen back in 1991. I still own the CD of the soundtrack, AND the sheet music for that Bryan Adams song that came with it.........
after all this time
always
Always....
Wow! How the BAFTA awards have changed now! This looks like an annual double glazing sales awards

Alan was so good at being bad he deserved that award winning badass performance in Robin Hood not only a bafta but a golden globe sag and a Oscar win would have sealed with a villain hot 🔥 streak as well as in all the greatest badass iconic legendary villain movies he has done in his long movie career
He should have won Oscar for best supporting for Die Hard!
Such a sweetie. The recut of Robin Hood with lots more Rickman was a delight.
R.I.P Mr Alan Rickman.
He died of Cancer.
Wait, they used to present the Film and the TV BAFTAs on the same night!!!???
He was great in robin hood prince of thieves well deseved
They obviously didn't think he'd win. Could they have placed him any further back in the room??
Somehow I was so happy to see Emma... ^^
BAFTA was a British party for British movies e artists back then... today they prefer Hollywood overrated productions.
Upload Thandie Newton's and Tilda Swinton's speeches please!!! :D
Il est génial.....
Rickman was an awsome actor. The same level with Marlon Brando, Jeremy Irons
He doesn't look all that excited to win the award.
He's beautifully modest and understated. That little quirk of the lips is all you need to know that he really is very chuffed. 💖
He's definitely pleased, awards are always welcome.
I love you, Helen.❤❤❤❤
