Is an easy way to make sure the pump primes as soon as you turn the engine over. It will slurp the oil. If there’s nothing between the oil pump gears. You’re gonna have trouble trying to prime it. I let the car get to temp and change the oil.

I like the 2x4 option on putting seals in. It's cheaper than that tool to put seals in

where did you get the gears?
I got them used from a low mileage stock motor. They’re hard to find now days
i was able to source some from a DSM groups on facebook recently. Paid around $100 shipped.
Aren’t those straight gears only for 1g 6 bolt oil pumps?

What kit did you use for the balance shaft delete?
I got mine from extremepsi, make sure is a oem kit.
