the fact that big youtubers like you are covering this stuff really shows promise for the AC modding community! Great video and great work to the modders!!
A mod that I have been wanting for a long time since I doubt Ubisoft would ever go back to fix Unity, it hasn't completely fixed the game but still is better than the vanilla version. Right now the only mod I'm waiting for is that you can change on how much synch bar you want on ac1. I just feel that Altair has too much HP, because I love ac1's simple combat, but I don't die no matter how many guards are their, it just takes a long time to kill a large group and that's it.
I saw an IG reel for the cloth physics a few days ago and was impressive the quality, and the guy that posted it is really good Ac fan... memento gallery think is his name
we need an actual showcase of what this mod changes, cos the dude in the video just did a regular jump to ledge and was like “yeah catch ledge” like it wasn’t just a regular ass jump💀
It still depresses me that the AC series didn't follow in Unity's footsteps. It had easily my favorite gameplay and setting of the entire series. The parkour and giant crowds were also amazing and I love Arno as a main protagonist. It's my favorite Assassin's Creed game and I have played them all. Freaking love this game.
agreed, the customization, co-op, parkour and the setting was incredible, I wasn't innitially sure about their choice of the French Revolution considering we got AC3 and the American Revolution but it ultimately makes sense looking back on it not sure if Arno's story is as good as the likes of Edward or Connor or Ezio but he's still a great character
It was received poorly at the time so Ubisoft thought they had to change the formula. Fans continue to give mixed feedback so now they don’t even know what to do with the series now
And why the hell did they never do co op anymore. Too bad Ubisoft is garbage and they made it peer to peer which means the game has so much bugs. It's so annoying trying to play without everything breaking every 2 seconds
@@jayveeeee Overall i found Unity to be a great game, but my biggest complaint is with the rooftop snipers. I feel that some of them have an unfair advantage where they can instanty spot you the very moment you get on top of a building. Which means that you have to rush to kill them before they fire a shot or or they can put the entire area on alert. Ubisoft should have included an upgradable bow or throwing knives like syndicate had when they made unity, having only 5 phantom blades is NOT enough!
i played Unity last month, it was my first AC game ever and i loved it. I’m honestly surprised Ubisoft is going to remake Black Flag over Unity since Unity had a bad rep at launch and also cause Ubisoft is French you’d think they’d be a little bias 😂.
The biggest change that this mod made was actually removing the restrictions on quickshots. You can now use all of your tools and projectiles at almost any time. Mid-air bomb drops or phantom blade quickshots, using smoke bombs while inside a haystack, hanging above a guard and dropping a bomb before air assassinating him, etc. It’s all possible with this new mod.
I think the biggest takeaway from this is that a version of the Anvil Engine is finally moddable. Other versions of the Anvil Engine might follow, which means mods for other AC games. Ubisoft's in-house engine has been notoriously unmoddable for years. Even model swaps seemed impossible.
Bombs and darts at any given moment are a game changer. Also spin descend and jump dive are great for parkour vids. I'm getting the hang of new controls and incorporate them in long runs
Yes. This Mod takes more time than others to implement, but it is so worth it. Is rises the overall Atmosphere so frickin much. Nichttime, full on wetness, rain and wind. Man. It is so great. It crushes a lot of recent or more modern games, graphics wise. Intense.
Another thing to mention about this mod is you can drop smoke bombs while assassinating someone or while in hiding spots. You can also shoot phantom blades while on ledges while jumping also while vaulting. Just takes so many restrictions away.
some changes he didnt mention: 1. you can now throw bombs from perches like on top of a pole 2. you can now quickshot from basically anywhere (midair, from the side of a wall) 3. and theres also disguise cheats another thing he didnt show is its super super customizable with it giving you a mod menu with checkboxes for literally everything the mod does
Maybe one day….. we’ll have the parkour and stealth mechanics from Unity in a new AC game. I personally loved the combat too but that’s more subjective. Sad they gutted it, instead of building off of it and improving it over each game.

Taking my sweet time with it. I’ve been seeing lots of clips on this mod. Im probably gonna try it out i just hope it doesnt break my game or delete my save somehow.
This is how all AC games should be made! The Parkour in this is the best in all the series, the replayability with the missions is great, the world looks amazing and feels full of life (minus some pop in and texture issues) the option to play missions as multiplayer or solo was awesome. This game is extremely underrated and I feel like that was just due to a little bit of polish to clean it up and make it an amazing game. I don't think any AC game makes you feel like a true assassin like Unity does. Being able to dip in and out of crowds, killing multiple targets within crowds unnoticed, the kit, the parkour, free running through kitchens, dining rooms, pubs, shops etc. was amazing feeling. This game is a true gem that got lost over greed, so sad!
@@Dylis hear what? just look at some gameplay my dude, unity got worse animation blending than ac1, atrocious fucking input delay to the put where your inputs aren’t even registered until a full second later and oh don’t get me started on the broken ahh snap targeting system. but oh “arno does a pretty twirl” so i guess that makes it all better.
someone on another AC video was trying to tell me that Black Flag has better and more fluid/free parkour than Unity. i played Unity first and now playing Black Flag and i feel like parkour is way more free and fluid in Unity. It does get janky yes, Unity overall just has more bugs than Black Flag unfortunately.
Thanks for sharing this! Some of these fixes are for stuff that's honestly been the reason I haven't enjoyed the Unity parkour as much as everyone else, I always found it clunky. With this I might have an easier time experimenting with it!
I wonder if the modder could do this for ac Syndicate by making adjustments and improve or even fix the parkour there where it is so much more limited.
Ive always looked at unity a bit differently than the general consensus. I'm pretty lucky when it comes to bugs usually, but with unity I actually found myself enjoying the good parts of it enough to look past the bugs and issues, even at launch. Although I did reach a tipping point where I had to put the game down for a long time and return to it after some major patches when my save file disappeared after 30hrs of play. (Another bug that was very common for me, but mostly funny, was falling through the planet when parkouring down) overall though, I think unity has a level of detail and polish (now) that other assassin's creed games feel lacking in, especially with the way the models look and are animated, the gear system, (Which I loved) and the story, which I thought was good. Unity definitely deserves a second chance for those that wrote it off at launch.
We need mods for every Ubisoft game. Or maybe Ubisoft should make another company called Ubi Mods so that they can release unfinished crap games quicker and the Mod Company can work on fixing those unfinished games, while the main company can work on the their next unfinished title.
I just bought AC Unity as it was on sale on the PS store then suddenly you upload AC Unity content!?!?!? Things be getting trippy Unity is the only one I missed when it came out. Looking forward to playing it tbh. I hope the bugs aren't too much of a problem
Just want to inform everyone that ACUFixes does work with controller, you just need to use DS4 and remap the controller buttons to the key binds of these functions. PS4 controller specifically is much better as the touchpad can act as three extra buttons (left, right, top) that Xbox lacks. The analog sticks can also be used since they really don’t do much in the main game. Share button can be use for the map. Only problem is that you will have to use the keyboard and mouse for examining Arno’s model in the customization menu whenever you want to zoom out from him. Same goes for the coop loading menu whenever you start one if you want to expand search or cancel it. All of these functions are mapped to the buttons I mentioned and they won’t work on controller anymore once you remap them to the keyboards or mouse.
Would you recommend this mod to someone who's never played ACU before? I just got it for Steam summer sale and am about to play it for the first time ever...
You can also throw smoke bombs upon landing and midair. And. Multiple assassinations hsve been enabled so you dont grt combat locked when using smoke bombs and can smoke bomb chain assassinate like old games
I would love if someone also moded, ac origins regular assasin takedown/animation and swaps it out with the rare animation you do when you assassinate an enemy in a not restricted area. Its the animation where you stab your enemy in hips from behind or in the stomach from forward. Could be cool to use thet animation when you infiltrating a fort or something like that in a restricted. that animation looks so much better and its much faster to do than the other animation.
Another tip, for some strange reason frame rate is tied to graphics settings, set everything to ultra if you want 60 fps minimum. Unless it will stutter.
You didn't mention the parkour helper infinite amount. The fact that it works in multi-player and mid air quickshots and ledge quickshots with infinite amo it removes reload so. You have a gun thwt shoots at the speed from red dead redemption and the free aim has fluid constant aim so theoretically you can go throigh while levels with the rifle or pistol now
This mod has been making rounds all over RUclips. Unity is slowly getting the recognition it deserves. Hopefully, Ubisoft realizes the mistake they made with the last three AC games (including Mirage).
I actually just finished my first playthrough today. I remember hating the game when it first came out. I hated the combat because I was dying all the time. But I took my time and learned the system and actually enjoyed the game. The storyline was fun, if a little underwhelming. Still a fun game. Not my favorite in the series but still a good game.
Unity was always a great game to me! It had some problems early on, but was fixed pretty quickly. Because I preordered season pass, they gave me FarCry 4 for free because of the controversy. Really enjoyed both.
I wish this game had a sequel imagine an open world Arno joining Napoleon then taking out multiple Templar organizations in Austria Spain Prussia and Russia maybe even UK or going to the US to avenge his dad
Now if the gentle push could make a comeback in Unity I would love it. There's never been an Assassin's Creed that needed it more, including the original 😂
I just finished this game like a month ago and yea its got some bugs mostly when I was in combat with enemies sometimes arno would stop attacking the or parrying the enemies so I would have to run from them which I hate I love fighting the enemies in the sword fights if I get spotted but yea I had that glitch like 3 times and at the end mission where u start I would try to climb down a building and arno would get stuck in place on the roof while trying to get down and I could not move him at all so I had to reload the mission but thank god it was just the beginning of the final mission so yea I see where people are getting the bugs from but those are the only ones I got I really did love this game tho besides those issues
I hope this brings out a wave of devs that can bug-fix this game or game-enthusiasts.. just like they had with Witcher 3.. Hopefully.. if the company doesn't do it, the players who love the game, certainly will.. unfortunate thing is that the story cannot be fixed..
I just finished replaying it for the first time in years and it definitely still feel like a bit of a mixed bag. The assassination black box missions are still a lot of fun, as well as some of the co-op missions. The gameplay can be very clunky still. The cover system is unreliable and controls can be unresponsive at times. The modern day still feels terribly inconsequential, but the data segments you can get from the Helix missions remind me of reading the emails after hours at Abstergo in the original AC, and I like that. I have been playing it on Xbox series x, and the quick resume feature does not work. You can load into the game, but it will crash 30 seconds later.
People love praising AC Unity's parkour. But once you go back and actually play it it feels so inconsistent. The jumps are weird and Arno would magnetize to small things on rooftops when you don't want him to do that. There are also the weird grabs like in 9:20. But it's fun when it works. Wonder if this mod fixes the inconsistencies.
I do realize that making controller work for games with alot of inputs is hard because you have to code an entire extra layer of context for button prompts. But damn would this mod be great on controller. Playing AC games just feels comfortable on controller. But its a godlike mod none the less.
Unity is one of my favorite AC games.Played it a few weeks after release and had zero bugs/crashes/etc.The gameplay is still great to this day, but the story is the weakest point - played it back last spring.Still can't believe the hate the game got back then.
Great mod, even though I adapted to playing Unity as it is. One question - does anybody knows mods or fixes that could increase draw distance in Unity and Origins? Because these games are beautiful, except the cases when buildings in the near distance look terrible because of low-quality LODs
I do not own unity on PC only on PlayStation 4. I am only here because I love unity anytime somebody talk about it I like to watch the video this is one of my favorite open world games
Hands down Unity is the best assassin’s creed… the first one will always take the cake, but unity man, the game mechanics in this man! it did everything right just needed time to cook more in the oven…
After 25h in Mirage I can't stop thinking that I'd rather have Unity remastered and fixed up. It was a gorgeous and immersive game and very funny too. Now the characters and story is flat, the world mainly lifeless and it's all generic and lack personality. it's hard to believe how much better Unity was in almost every aspect (the parkour!) to a game they developed almost 10 years later. I'd love to play it again in hi-res on PS5 to see if it's just my nostalgia or it was really this good
This is cool, hope I can use it with my current save. How's it work with a controller? Despite the PS4 game box image, I assume this mod is for the Windows version?
yes it’s for windows, consoles don’t get mods unless developer specifically adds builds them in or homebrew community. it currently does not work with controller, the dev for this mod said he doesn’t currently have a way of capturing the games controller input for the mod. maybe in the future.
OMG, I know it's small think but I love that slow walk feature, I hate how many developers overlook us mouse and keyboard players and they don't give as any button to slow walk, it's possible with stick on controller so give us also possibility to do it :( Edit: YES, I wish every ac game would have toggle for hood, fuck I might download unity right now just because of this mod
this mod is really great but there is 1 nitpick i still got with unity u can't unequip your pistols since every other weaopn besdies swords clip right thro them
PS don’t have mouse wheels 🤪😂 I thought Unity was shit, and left it alone for ages, but I think it either before or after Valhalla was launched I decided to give it another try and now I really like it

I'm not 100% sure cause I don't have this mod but I'm pretty sure you can also quickshot the phantom blade and other projectiles in mid air
You can even use slow motion and also use smoke bombs and phantom blades from cover
Dammit. I just finished my playthrough and had no idea this was a thing. Fixed a few things I was frustrated with. Guess I'll play through again
People love praising AC Unity's parkour. But once you go back and actually play it it feels so inconsistent. The jumps are weird and Arno would magnetize to small things on rooftops when you don't want him to do that. There are also the weird grabs like in 9:20. But it's fun when it works. Wonder if this mod fixes the inconsistencies.
i love it. i think it looks incredible and that's half the battle, but yeah it's very inconsistent. even for players that practice 😅
I do realize that making controller work for games with alot of inputs is hard because you have to code an entire extra layer of context for button prompts. But damn would this mod be great on controller.
Playing AC games just feels comfortable on controller. But its a godlike mod none the less.
The game changer for me are the cloth physics, because I'm a sucker for badas coats
Unity is one of my favorite AC games.Played it a few weeks after release and had zero bugs/crashes/etc.The gameplay is still great to this day, but the story is the weakest point - played it back last spring.Still can't believe the hate the game got back then.
I would love it if they added the ability to fight with the hidden blade. But one can dream
I still don't understand the cover button. Works sometimes, other times Arno just stays crouches in that spot and is easily tagged by enemies
I always forget how fucking far Arno could jump. He jumps further then Miles Morales is the MM game lmao
Great mod, even though I adapted to playing Unity as it is. One question - does anybody knows mods or fixes that could increase draw distance in Unity and Origins? Because these games are beautiful, except the cases when buildings in the near distance look terrible because of low-quality LODs
Toggle Hood is dope actually..
I do not own unity on PC only on PlayStation 4. I am only here because I love unity anytime somebody talk about it I like to watch the video this is one of my favorite open world games
This could've been what the game was if they spent more time on it.
This was the game that caused me to stop pre-ordering video games.
You have to try out the advanced cloth physics mod.
It pairs nicely with the transmog mod
Hands down Unity is the best assassin’s creed… the first one will always take the cake, but unity man, the game mechanics in this man! it did everything right just needed time to cook more in the oven…
After 25h in Mirage I can't stop thinking that I'd rather have Unity remastered and fixed up. It was a gorgeous and immersive game and very funny too. Now the characters and story is flat, the world mainly lifeless and it's all generic and lack personality. it's hard to believe how much better Unity was in almost every aspect (the parkour!) to a game they developed almost 10 years later. I'd love to play it again in hi-res on PS5 to see if it's just my nostalgia or it was really this good
So I was under the impression that (on controller) holding the left trigger or R2 would prompt for window entering
To be fair, Unity tutorials for parkour are not great
This is cool, hope I can use it with my current save.
Hell I just started replaying it 10 days ago, wish I knew of the mod before I started replaying it.
i really wish to see a mod where arno can whistle to attract enemies from hidding spots
I miss the multiplayer aspect it was so good
I've tried to play this on my ps5 not too long ago, and man, does it look rough on a 4k monitor. Its a shame they haven't remastered it
OMG, I know it's small think but I love that slow walk feature, I hate how many developers overlook us mouse and keyboard players and they don't give as any button to slow walk, it's possible with stick on controller so give us also possibility to do it :(
Edit: YES, I wish every ac game would have toggle for hood, fuck I might download unity right now just because of this mod
If a mod releases and it fully fixes and tweaks Unity's Parkour system I will be the happiest man in the world!
The next gen consoles need to be made so that they can have mods like PC gaming, that would be nice asf
this mod is really great but there is 1 nitpick i still got with unity
u can't unequip your pistols since every other weaopn besdies swords clip right thro them
PS don’t have mouse wheels 🤪😂
I thought Unity was shit, and left it alone for ages, but I think it either before or after Valhalla was launched I decided to give it another try and now I really like it
you're right, I've never played AC unity.
