Uh, excuse me, but Walz wasn't telling a phony story about bivouacking under fire in a helicopter landing as Hillary did., He wasn't telling a story about a combat mission he never went on. good to have someone who knows what it is to be part of such a situation. I think the title Marine is questionable. Real Marines are the elite force and would never ever fold on any other Marine, no matter what is in play. So Vance is the ultimate looser, the guy you could not stand but somehow dodged every challange. He never faced real war, just turned up for a free bottle of water and the allocated chocolate bar.
Oh, so you think it's OK that he applied for a rank for which HE WAS NOT ELIGIBLE when he "retired". He also wasted taxpayer dollars on training by signing a contract that GE NEVER FULFILLED. They speak about that timeline like they understand the timeline, the timeline makes Walz case even work. The position he applied for, claims to have gotten, and did not earn. You have to choose, plus you have to go to school, he knew he wasn't gonna deploy, he knew he was signing up for Congress, but he still willingly PICKED his position in the military then abandoned it. That is stolen valor and him applying for Congress is irrelevant he knew what he was doing. He knew they were about to go to war so he bailed on the troops he promised to take into battle. What would he do for you if he did that to his brothers.
Walz served almost 5 years beyond the minimum retirement stipulation. No one has a right to question why he retired when he did. No one. That was a very silly and inappropriate question.
Vance agreed to go as part of his deal to become Command Sergeant Major. Because he violated that agreement to go with his unit to combat, he was stripped of his rank, and retired as Master Sergeant. He shouldn't have said he carried weapons in combat. Why didn't he walk that statement back the next day, instead of letting it stand? Walz was not in our unit but he actually stayed back for administrative desk work from what I understand. But there was a time during basic training he was involved in sniper week and there was a competition shooting in M4A sniper rifle and he actually came in first place and was a true leader and everyone respected him after that, despite being an administrator. I never understood why he bailed from going to Iraq and claimed he had other things to do. But one thing I can attest to is my son was on his State championship football team and he was such an excellent coach and cared for everybody on the team, always called plays that involved everyone's involvement to win, and not a single individual type of play.
