Beautifully congregational singing is entering the heart fully together with GOD and spiritually might and sanctity thoroughly interred. Wonderful beauty and spirit
So thankful to hear my FAVORITE Christmas hymn once more by this outstanding congregation and choir. I hope everyone had a very blessed Christmas and I lift up a prayer that the new year will be much less contentious with the coming together of all of us in a loving way in order to provide a peaceful existence for ALL of Gods children!!!
Very nice! I've never heard the Willcoks descant played before and it added a great variation for a wonderful old Christmas choral. Thank-you for posting it!
Yes, the descant was superb and it really lifted the piece. Sadly, descants are not that common, but I remember once listening to the (UK) National Anthem, which too had a fabulous descant in it.
Beautiful rendition of this hymn, in perfect harmony with the power of a much larger choir, absolute perfection. Here in the UK we have hymns from kings college that are totally amazing and joy to look forward to.
Indeed! People who are sung to have no incentive to sing. This is glorious; I'm very glad to know of this cathedral and its high standard of music in worship.
How man can be so self serving, only believing in his inflated lowly sinful state, yet beholding the beauty of such melodies to the Christ Child, I cannot imagine. The Lord has broken the bonds of hell by his incarnation, Christ is Born! Merry Christmas!
This beautiful carol should have been accompanied by the majestic sounds of a huge pipe organ - “ the king of instruments” to quote Mozart. The orchestra does not have the ability to support a large congregation singing at full volume like the organ does.

Glorious to see and hear! Thank you for posting this wonderful video...much appreciated!
ADESTE FIDELES.....SIMPLEMENTE: BELLO!!!

I don’t ever recall hearing this with an orchestra instead of the organ. Truly inspiring!

Stratosferico Canto natalizio dedicato a Gesù Bambino N.S. ❤❤❤
Beautiful. Choir and music
I love it. Merry Christmas to everyone and may God bless you. Greatings from Norway
Thank you keep Christmas-ing and happy new year.
That's the descent we learned in choir I belonged to and as a soprano was taught to sing it. How I love it.

God be praised. Magnificent ❤
Perfekt, Danke 🙏🙏🙏
Una dolce ed antica musica che concilia con tutto il mondo
I’m so glad not to hear the amplified voice of a cantor in the background. It’s so nice to hear an inspired congregation.

Sounds great! (and nice so with orchestra; haven't heard that before yet; usually organ).

Schitterend
Es heißt: Adeste fideles! Mit e
Best in Latin, just as "Stille Nacht" is best in German.
Organ more suitable, tho I’m still learning 😊

It was! We used every voice and instrument in the building, including the organ :)
