Bhatti saab comedy ka asli king thaa.. Aur hamesha rahega... Unka full tension aur flop show aaj bhi mein dekh tha hoon, kerala se unka ek fan.
I met Jaspal Bhatti ji at the Delhi airport in 2007, and had a picture with him. He was a gem of a person. So sad that he left the world so early. May his soul rest in peace.

Jaspal Bhatti has inspired generations of comedians with his work.
Jsspal Bhatti can be called the first comedian of India. His satirical take on issues faced by the general public was wonderful & excellent. People just loved him.
His two serials on doordarshan in the 80s were mind blowing Ulta Pulta & The Flop Show. I remember both these shows & I also remember how I used to love both of these serials.
Her wife Savitaji was truly her partner as she was the producer & actress in all the episodes, she too was very talented.
His presence in Hindi & Punjabi movies was commendable.
Sad to hear that he passed away in a minor accident where the car hit a big tree, sad to learn that he could not see the release of the movie Power Cyt in which he was to launch his son.

I remember him from Flop Show and Full Tension. He made a satire on the education system and quality of food items. I also remember that he used the popular number "Hoke majboor mujhe usne bhulaya" but changed the wordings to "Hoke majboor Chicken" (ruclips.net/video/xdRjE5aobfc/видео.html), singing the song with a very serious expression and making everyone of us roll with laughter. Sad that he was taken so soon and so tragically.
