I played a Novo once! I want one so badly. Pine is wildly overlooked as a tonewood. Every pine guitar I've ever played has felt alive!

One of the reasons I got the Classic Vibe Telecaster is because it’s made with a pine body.

Lake Como is an Italian lake, pretty beatifull. It is famous for the special Blue color the lake has, And that color was used here
It's also a town in nj!

I keep forgetting the strings, gosh.
Insanely good offset. The thinner pine body makes them so light and way more comfortable for a smaller guy like myself tonplay than most offset style guitars.

A PINE body? Wow, we used to joke about that back in the day. I’ve always thought pine 🌲 was too soft of a wood 🪵 for guitar bodies.
It is. Not to mention pine tends to get brittle over time and is prone to cracking and splitting.
@@harrybrooks8514 It (sugar pine) was the 1st wood used by Leo Fender because the factory was only a couple of miles from a bunch of pine trees. It sounds fantastic.
Really strange looking bridge pieces, hopefully its not a nightmare to intonate. I'm not really digging any of the shapes on this one, except for maybe the jazzmaster style trem. I'm sure it probably plays nice and came with a sweet set up tho if it was built in Nashville.
Ya the thing is hideous imo. Color choice is great but that’s about it on the aesthetics lol. How it plays it what matters at the end of the day though.

Yamaha was building that shape since the 60s ..,They didn't copy a couple hand build guys. .Yamaha has some of the best luthiers in the world

Landon, you make me laugh! 😂 I just dropped a load of cash on a custom shop 335, so I won't be buying any more guitars for the foreseeable future. My next investment will be Truefire lessons. I figure I should learn how to play without embarrassing myself. Granted, I could have/should have done that before buying a guitar like that. I know it's not the guitar. It's the player. If I ever become a player, this would be a nice addition to the family. I understand they're not cheap, but worth every penny... or nickel since we don't have pennies anymore. 😉
They aren’t anymore expensive than a Custom Shop Gibson. For that matter, the standard Novos(ones not built by Dennis Fano) are priced right in line with the standard US production Gibson ES-335 or ES-339.

Gorgeous, and I’ve seen those Novo’s - they ain’t cheap! I like the specs, especially the compound radius fretboard, but I’d really like a reverse headstock, maybe even multiscale with a bit of gentle scalloping. (Do they make those at Novo? Guess I can check their website.)
Those are definitely not a standard option from Novo. If you’re willing and able to pay the premium for one built by Dennis Fano himself I bet he would be willing to work with you on making it happen.

To each their own of course but I just never will understand the draw of pre-stressed or relic’d guitars. I much put the battle scars and coinciding stories on one myself through honest use and years of ‘bonding’ with the instrument.

I really hate their headstock. Looks like it was made in a school woodshop.
I don't like them simply because the classic designs are more beautiful aesthetically, but I'm sure it plays and sounds good - just not my jam.

I think Novo makes relic guitars because they don't want to spend the money for better wood and finishing the guitars to be ready for a quality paint job. Then they charge $3500 and up because they do good setups on the instruments that they build. There are guitars made in China that have beautiful finishes and cost less than $250.
