@barongerhardt no I've been watching him for a few years now. For what ever reason it's become increasingly more frustrating watching him overlook and over engineer everything
Dire, the aluminium having spare raw ore is because some extra ore meat managed to get into the fermenter before it sealed. You will likely have this problem again. Can industrial forgoing machines pull? Maybe that can be a way to solve this issue? If not, then I would have multiple fermenters, one per ore. They are slow anyway so more of them will help with that. Also, I think the fermenter takes the same amount of time regardless of how full it is, so doing 10 buckets 1 bucket at a time will take longer than filling the fermenter with those 10 buckets and doing them is as few iterations as possible.
I need this machine to go faster, but I forgot I set up that mods tick accelerator ages ago right next to my ether gas. Might have been good to have them closer. Also, why bring the dust into the storage? Add a furnace to the right and push into it so you have a complete closed line to go from raw to ingot.
Dire, just automate sand already! That river is going to be out in an episode or two because you refuse to set up a stonework factory to give you all the sand you need
Probably a lost cause, but the Advanced AE adds wireless pattern and pattern process access. This would save you a ton of back and forth to your base just for a pattern.
Dire , you should just get the stoneworks factory up and running since you're already doing things with industrial foregoing xD the sand issue is getting real
I like the automation, but I feel like setting up a separate processing line for each ore type might be better for two reasons. A) eliminate the chance of jamming the system 2) with ores processing in parallel the whole system runs faster Good idea? Bad idea? Dumb idea?
Dire, Please, add some covers to laser IO. Powa should also have some covers to the ender gates, but since it's not your mod, I'll leave as it is, but laser IO could really use some covers, specially in places like your mobspawner, where the grass has been removed leaving the holes behind.
QOL idea for just dire things: If a tool has a 3x3, 5x5 etc. mode add a option to default itself to 1x1 after the tool is no longer being held by the player. This might reduce accidental breaking of player's own bases.
Armor idea I had for JustDireThings: integration with Ars Nouveau that lets you install magic upgrades into your armor for increased mana and mana regen. It's always super annoying to be playing with a magic mod and then go, "Well, that was fun. Time to move to a better armor and never touch those spells again."
I think the reason the fermenter is slow might be because it takes a fixed time to ferment any amount you put in? So if I'm right about that (and I admit I'm just guessing) the fermenter would be like ten times faster if you only sealed when full. You might need to fiddle with the amount of ore inserted at a time to make sure it's making a full fermenter at once, so nothing gets jammed, but it'd speed things up significantly. Worth testing at least?
Also it kind of looks like the fermenter is occasionally getting more than a bucket of fluid at a time, and then sealing and fermenting that little bit extra. Not sure why, but you might need to do the same exact mode transferring you did with the ore washer.
@@AspergersStudio Thats what I tried at first, but it's way too slow. A normal click is +1mb, shift click is +10mb, ctrl click is +100mb, ctr+shift click is 1000mb. So if I want 4k buckets, I need to click 4000 times with ctrl+shift
I believe the sensor doesn't go up to 4000 buckets anyway. My suggestion is to use an AE2 level emitter instead. Those no longer use channels, in case you didn't know!
@@Power46 The sensor goes to 4096, like any other sensor. I "solved" it by using an auto clicker for ~3 minutes. I will try the level emitters, thanks for the tip

Dire's stubbornness to automate sand is the stuff of legends :)
Portal to a desert every once in a while. No need to over complicate things.
Theres a single machine from industrial that would automate sand for no cost and he refuses to make it
@@thiskid619 New to dire? That is the least likely way for him to solve the issue.

I’d set up a processing pattern with 40 raw ore. Then use a requester to keep a couple thousand ingots of each type in stock.
@35:04 Someone's got sculk fun again

Dire's mind needing to automate a system that can be simplified by duplication is as predictable as the sunrise and sunset!
It's not even like the machines are expensive, and it is even more fun to see all of that redundancy at work.

You should be using nuggets for a lot of your JDT recipes.
Amazing automation
The alternative would be to do one line for each ore, which seems a bit excessive.
Is there a way to set a specific amount in a LaserIO counting filter? I don't want to click for an eternity to set my liquid sensor to 4000

Making an ars sand farm is so simple, and could run off the mob farm too via a vitalic sourcelink.

i think it uses 300mb per operation on the last step
