My DUDE. I was literally JUST SAYING how I was hoping for more of this universe, and YOU HAVE DELIVERED GLORIOUSLY.
So, to be serious for a moment, honestly this is the best possible thing the princess could really hope for in these circumstances I think. At least her new husband holds some fondness for her already, although that probably won't be much consolation to them at first. That last line was so sad though! I feel conflicted!!!
I'm really impressed how you mixed Pharos's softness with the arrogance and entitlement that son of such and emperor would have! He really does seem like a complex and interesting person, even through this short introduction. I was actually surprised to see that it's only twelve minutes long, because I felt like this must have been four times as long for me to feel so connected.
