(Very interesting storyline👏💜) Edit: or maybe just a bit delusional/crazy bc he's so desperate to get out of that world
Well, this isn't going to go well for somebody... It's hard to know how to feel about the king. I mean, he's a homicidal maniac, but he's engaging in a way. He wants what's best for his people - which is apparently eldritch transformation and becoming an unstoppable army, so we're going to have to disagree on that one, your majesty - but he adores and honors his Light. When a psychopath is more chivalrous than most people, something's weird in life... It would be interesting to follow a conversation along these lines: he's ready to defy the gods by declaring himself one, and maybe he already is powerful enough to do that. Maybe he's right. But his Light is mortal. Potential rather than brute force. Is he willing to risk his gods taking his Light from him for his defiance? And whether he is or not, how long can he sustain that emotional and psychological teeter-totter before he snaps? This is a really intriguing take on a listener that comes across as almost Scheherazade in terms of that sense of holding off inevitable death/doom, and it's fun to play with.
My King what happened? I just woke up. Poor monster king. He seems so genuine but I’m equally afraid for us the listener. The fact he hasn’t done anything is insane to me.
Him: You understand when there is something that can’t e taken out of your mind. It exists within you. It builds a home for itself, takes on a life of its own. A paranoia… Me when my anxiety runs high: Oh yeah, I know. Great to see a continuation of the Beasts Below!

He better be very careful. This isn’t the first time the King has caught him looking at us. I believe we’ve stalled long enough and the King is tired of waiting. And he’s willing to set the world ablaze for us. I can’t wait to see what we do next!
Damn! The way you delivered the script so well, the listener can sense the worship and devotion in the tone, it is so subtle but it makes the listener weak in the knees. . The monstrous king supersedes the normal courtship man has to offer.
Yesss i was hoping for more of this series! ❤ Its fascinating to see him change through the episodes, from someone who spoke in a very sort of calculated and even manner about himself and the tomes of old, to rambling and whispering about his knigths disloyalty and all but spitting on the gods 👌 good stuff!
I love this monster king so much!🖤 He cares so much for them and still sees them as an angel and salvation but also as a person. I would choose him over the bodyguard in a heartbeat.

And would he still claim to love us after the ritual, humanity purged, nothing left but the beast..?

He's a really intriguing character...immensely strong, ruthless & charismatic, yet that kernel of fragility, gentleness & neediness inside.
I have mixed feelings about serial killers with morals. But then again, loving someone is something you choose to do, it’s not a feeling. So if we’re both choosing to make it work, why wouldn’t it. The whole burning the world is a bit much, but it’s hard to turn down someone who says they’ll put everything on the line for you. Haha look at me! Getting philosophical and cheesy about a relationship I’m not even in. “Tell me you’re crazy without telling me you’re crazy” am I right 😅
Oh honey love is not a choice. We can't just choose to love someone. It just happens. It's strong, and it's powerful. It's a emotion...a strong force. Besides, we have hatred...which is a feeling..and since there is hate....love is somewhere else...existing. Also being a serial killer of itself is immoral, anyone who truly cared...just cared in general... would not just kill masses for just the sake of killing or some immoral reason(s). Would you really want to work on it with someone who, sure treats you well, but not others? Like for starters, other lives matter. Then also who's to say he won't turn on you as well! Ok. Serial killers are never good. I think I was 100% for sure romanticizing the scenario. I think you also made good point about Mr. King person falling for the idea of their light vs genuine care and what not. However, love can not be a feeling by the principle. What I mean by this is that freedom must be an element of love for it to pertain it’s value. Like beauty and the beast. I do agree that you can’t control the pheromones and chemical reactions that go off in your brain when you’re falling for someone. But I meant love in general, not just romance. Like, the pheromones don’t last forever. What happens when they go away? You have to choose to stay with your person. Even with family. Families can grow apart if they don’t keep working for their relationships , but then there are the families that put in the effort to meet up every year and get together on days that aren’t just Christmas and Thanksgiving. But let’s say sure, love is a feeling. But anger and sadness are also feelings. You can’t stop feeling angry and sad just because you want to. You can control how you react to your feelings, but not the feelings themselves. This again pertains to that idea of freedom. So love has to be an action. It’s how you react with another person despite what your feeling or because of what your feeling. And I don’t mean expressions of love like hugs and kisses. I mean like, actually making the decision to keep loving that person despite what you’re going through. If there’s no choice, then the meaning and the value of your love is very little. If you need someone, then you choosing to stay someone isn’t as valuable as staying with someone even if you don’t need them. Forgive my typos. I didn’t want to read through that whole thing again 😩
