I don't go for the fully raw lifestyle.. I subscribed because of the great recipes she shares. I eat normal meals that are not just raw foods but I replace some meals with raw foods. So far i've lost 30 pounds doing it. I recommend juicing raw fruits and vegetables because you can turn a full plate of fruits and vegetables in to a 12 oz cup, its easier for me.

I have gotten zits on my face and my husband has flu symptoms. He was happy to know that it wasn't a cold and just detoxing. Detoxing is never fun but I get excited about it because that lets me know that my body is healing itself. Our bodies are so amazing if we just treat them right and give them the proper fuel. As always Kristina, thanks for sharing your heart with us.

I'm detoxing right now, and unfortunately I also have a couple of hard days at work I have to go trough at the same time... I notice my throat is sore, my head feels heavy and foggy and I have headaches when I go to sleep and when I wake up. But the good part is that I sleep so well, but I also sleep too much. I usually go for 8 hours of sleep at night, now I need at least 10. I also get cranky and demotivated fast, but it's mind over matter in my case. It's just something I need to get through.

I definitely agree on encouraging people to get enough sleep. If I don't get enough sleep I am tired the very next day and feel like dragging myself ... Walks out in nature are also a great way of detoxing. I loved riding my bike in Florida or going for a swim. Exercising and enough sleep helps tremendously!!

    Thank you.
All I can say to others is: Please start this lifestyle when you are still young.
I was getting awful rashes, itching and bite-like sensations 4 months into being Vegan (70-75% raw).
One of the oddest things that happened was that the rash would assume the shapes of childrens' drawings on my skin.
Drinking a quart of lemon water in the morning has stopped the rashes and itching and bite-like sensations.

My husband has just lost 65 pounds by (trust me, not because he wanted to, lol) going 'fully raw' after an unusually severe episode of acid reflux which he couldn't control, except by ONLY eating raw vegetables and (we already do this) juicing. I hope to post his story sometime on RUclips, it's amazing how quickly he was able to recover his health and lose the weight, not by forcing it, but by not eating cooked food; his body simply would not respond well to ANY cooked foods; he would immediately have an acid response if he ate anything cooked. He feels so great now that he plans to do this for the rest of his life ;) We also love the raw vegan lasagna and other recipes. LOVE LOVE this now ;) By the way, I showed him Kristina's videos here and he was happy to see how much I loved this way of living, so now we are doing everything we can to have a happy life and enjoy our more mature years healthfully and with vigor and reclaimed youthfulness, it's truly amazing! Thanks to all of those great folks out there who have shared their journey into renewed heath and life anywhere on RUclips!

I took from it the meditative aspect, and the cleansing of waters. Some of us may never go fully raw, but one thing to take from it, is that its possible to eat a few raw meals. Also, juicing is so amazing. Get a juice that your body needs, not what you crave, get a raw unpasteurized vegan juice, youll be glowing in no time.

I agree with the whole idea of drinking pure water, but BUY A PURIFIER!! Don't advise people to go out and buy bottled water and then put it into a pretty glass bottle. That is just wasteful. Imagine how many of those bottles she goes through in a day. Geez. Your health is important but so is the health of the planet.

Nearly every video I've Seen is always about how great this lifestyle is, and while that's true, it's good see a video like this finally.... The less then delightful (and slightly embarrassing) things that go on in our bodies when we make a big change. While I don't eat fully raw, I went vegan two months ago. I thought "is this just detox?! It is a winter flu bug?! Is my body not being nourished?!" And all the etc anxieties. Thanks Kristina for finally addressing this and with all these great tips! Thanks for your sharing your journey with us. Your video was a great help and comfort! When I finally realized that research was my greatest asset to dealing with this change, everything got simpler. I thought I had the flu on my SECOND DAY of fasting!!! What a relief I had decided not to go to the doctor where they'da probably handed me a Px. Instead, I looked on the internet for relations to the symptoms and my choice to fast. I'm glad I did. I'm on day 4 now, and though the length of my fast is overwhelming, each moment by moment seems bearable. My reminders/goals/desires as to why I choose to do this keep me going!

Don't dry skin brush towards your heart. It needs to be AWAY from your heart if anything. It is the medical establishment who tells us towards the heart but what do they know? Robert Morse N.D. and others say, our wastes need to exit thru the kidneys or the colon...NOT THE HEART (with all due respect).

Drinking straight up pure water is bad for you. Because of how osmosis works, if you are a certain amount of hydrated and you have purified water going through your system, it'll pull out minerals and salts from your body. to equalize the balance. That's why mineral water exists, and that's why bottled waters tend to have trace amounts of certain minerals or salts added in the first place.
Don't tell people to drink "the cleanest water". You literally need minerals and other chemical compounds to be able to hydrate properly. It's the reason eating watermelon hydrates you more efficiently than drinking water.

Perhaps your brush is too hard? If so, you can soak it to soften it apparently (it needs to be natural bristles not synthetic). Or maybe you're doing it too hard? Lighten the strokes to see if this helps.

I only had a problem with acne (in the summer), but that resolved. I just continued what I was doing, which was eating fully raw 1-2 times per day and I drink about 3 liters of water daily. I have always drunk that much water. I will have to try dry skin brushing; I still get acne on my upper back, especially in the summer as well and maybe dry skin brushing will help.

Hi! I didn’t have all the ingredients so I made a variation of the Tropical Paradise smoothie and it was soooo YUMMY! The recipe: 10 Oranges (juiced), then put in blender with 2 handfuls Spinach, 1 large leaf Curly Kale, 1 slice & peeled Mango, 1 handful ice and blend. Yum Yum Yum :) Thank you Kristina! I recently found you (your videos and website) and I find you to very inspirational!!

Ahhh detox. Thanks for doing the video! Some other detox tips would be to include lemon and/or cucumber in your water and drink that when you first get up in the morning and taking detox baths for ~20 minutes at a time that include detox clay and epsom salts. Although I know of a few more methods, those are the ones I do the most often and rely on the most. It definitely helps a lot! I've been detoxing heavily lately and have been in a lot of pain from it, and I definitely notice a difference when I incorporate these things into my routine :)

Most people do not realize the two simplest practices you recommend and how helpful they really are: sleep and closer to nature. I tell you--there is no one who does these two practices consistently that will not feel the benefits. Another great post.

Great tips as usual. So far so good but great to have a toolkit to help deal with symptoms should they appear.

Love the video...I'm so excited about going raw! I had my thyroid taking out about 10 years ago, so I'm excited to see what eating raw will do for me. Thanks for all of your videos..
