      What Kramnik has is called megalomania or delusions of grandeur. Because he's a brilliant chess player, Kramnik assumes that he is also a brilliant statistician, mathematician, and expert of human nature. Also I think his fragile self-confidence can't cope with so many players beating him nowadays, so he has to invent a reality in which they are all cheaters and he's still the best player in the world. It's really, really sad and pathetic.

    In all his statistics, Kramnik ignores one of the most important factors, which is psychology. If you play with Hikaru, the fact that he is one of the best players can be stressful, but that's nothing. Additionally, your game is watched by several thousand people, often including good players. All this greatly increases the likelihood of mistakes. This video perfectly shows this aspect. Anyone who watches Hikaru's streams knows that it is practically impossible for him to cheat. He constantly explains his game and everything is very natural. And looking at his party's reviews no
    It has computer accuracy and plays very human moves. It's shocking that a person like Kramnik can't see this. It's starting to look like just trying to get attention.

    • @RaniaIsAwesome
      @RaniaIsAwesome Месяц назад +2

      I don't think Hikaru cheats but explaining the game and "everything is natural" is not really evidence at all. All you would have to do is pick a computer move you already considered but weren't sure about and claim you're going with a feeling. Checking for blunders alone against the computer would be enough to gain multiple hundreds of rating points (obviously you will add in a blunder here or there to avoid suspicion, just play normally and it will happen by itself).

    • @aniabib6547
      @aniabib6547 Месяц назад +1

    It's not shocking the percentage of upsets is more in OTB chess because the number of games is much more in online chess than in OTB chess. The more games are played, the more likely their score will converge to what ELO predicts.

      @@Anonymous-8080 I mean 75 points after how many games. You can’t say the majority of the games if he reported like 200+ games over a 1 week period and then got 75 points of those back one day. Just because you get all the points back in one day doesn’t mean all those games were played in a single day.

      @@xerofire 75 points is like 8-12 games, that’s a pretty significant amount of games. And that’s only games the system caught, there’s probably 10x that which isn’t being caught because the engine is being used sparingly in key moments

    Online poker gets similar accusations. People think rare things happen more often online, but the numbers just don't bear that out.

    • @sportspokerguy3506
      @sportspokerguy3506 27 дней назад

      Online poker probably has 100x the cheating of online chess - there’s so many ways to cheat and there’s less of an incentive for sites to thwart it - and no regulatory body to oversee it.

    To generalise, what is more likely?
    -A perceived lower ranked player who gets a great deal of practice playing blitz can beat a high ranked player who possibly doesn't
    -It's easier to accuse another of cheating when they aren't in front of you than lose gracefully to someone you think a lower rank
