Thank you guys! Great video. I can add that on my 2013 DB9 Volante I succeeded to install this device as well. May be good to know for other users is that the Navigation is situated on the left rear seat (looking from behind the vehicle) as Naviks also told me, but if you have B&O installed it is under the speaker or woofer which also is under this seat. It took me a while to understand that there was space underneath this seat. The rest is installing through the midsection and it works perfect! Also good to mention that the feedback from. Naviks was very good and quickly by mail or WhatsApp. Adri, The Netherlands
this is great video, I have 2013 vantage manual trans( owned 9 years) always wanted add front camera and now with naviks offering wireless android auto I'm planning to add both. Great job with video. I too will like to have shop manual if anyone has copy . Thanks
Bravo you guys, good job. I have a 2013 V8 Vantage S that i have become a expert at disassembling. They are not easy cars to figure out. You did great. I think i will go with the same unit you guys went with for CarPlay. Thanks so much for putting this out there. I am also creating videos to help people in disassembling these newer vantages.
@@zaniuqit’s finally getting cold enough to put our cars away in Minnesota. I’ll have to push Doug into upgrading his roadster. He wanted to see how the front camera install goes on mine first.
Regarding the front cable run, did you ever get this done? Aston1936 had a good video on his DB9 for don't it and I *think* it should be similar on the Vantage. I've been putting off doing that same thing and would be doing it next week but my car has been in the body shop for a bit. Good think I didn't install that camera or it would have been ruined.
I did it this winter. It was essentially identical to the Aston1936 video, so I didn’t film it. The only difference was that there is very little room to work in front of the v12 radiator. I had to remove the brake ducts to access the lower grille.
I also got my NAVIKS kit, and I'm pretty sure on my 2011 (so last of the Volvo nav, but have an Aux cable) I don't have to run anything to the back. It's all up front (other than the backup camera, of course, but I already have that wire run to the front). I'll also use an adapter to plug into the Aux line rather than hard splicing in.

Thanks Patrick. I'm amazed no one has really talked about this system. Can't wait to see what you do!
My 2017 Vantage came with Apple Car Play which makes a huge difference in the enjoyment of the car. Great addition
Thanks Rick!
Bravo excellente video ! My 2013 V8 vantage S ‘ll have a CarPlay 😄. Merci.
Bonjour, sogg33 je compte l'installer également sur ma DBS tu as prévu de le faire quand ? Merci ;-)
13:29 So what *was* the better way to do this? Might be undertaking this myself instead of the shop I normally rely on.
12:56 heh. I think I broke a tab here too, and the material that it's made of is some sort of pressed fiber or something.
7:24 that cover comes out easier if you pry the top towards you and the slip it out. That lower edge is much more wedged in there.
Great job!!
I want to do in the roadster. When are you coming up with the promised video?
We will do the roadster when Doug stores it for the winter. I’m guessing November/December.

Next time try heating it up with a torch to loosen it up a bit.. ;)
I have the workshop manual in pdf... can send it to you!
