@@stanzajchowski4250 so after it reads your trouble code go to power train then all the way on the bottom should be special functions your should be able to reset there
No and yes I just had it go back into limp mode about a week ago but again was able to reset the vlp counter 15 min later like nothing happened, have to dig deeper since the trans is a new remanufactured can't figure out why it did it again
@@walg4344let me know if you ever find out. I’m having the same p1745 code on my 08 Ram 1500 with the 42RLE transmission. I’m on my 3rd transmission with this same code. I went to a new transmission shop and the owner suggested that I may have a bad PCM, if all 3 transmissions had the same code. 🤔
@@walg4344 never bro, I did it. I had to get the transmission to operating temperature. So I drove for about 15 minutes at regular speed. Then reset it.
So the scanner did fix it but, the code got triggered again and went back into limp mode about 3 months later from what I have researched it might be a wire harness issue maybe a ground haven’t tried to fix issue just keep resetting the counter hope this helps if I fjnd the solution I’ll video it and post it hope this helps
You mentioned a cheaper alternative to this scanner that would reset the VLP counters. Which model Foxwell were you referring to?

Can you send more detail instructions on how to clear the code I did it but the car is still not shifting gears stuck on loop
You can’t just clear the code you have to reset the vlp shift counter

Dude how long does it take to reset the p1745? I have a foxwell n1710 and its just on “please wait” for so long
It depends with my scanner I can reset it in 15 min
