Low transmission fluid is what causes the problem in the beginning. Everything you did is correct. Replace your fluid and keep it up to level and you will be fine. Even a wheel speed sensor or oxygen sensor can cause these problems. Anytime a trouble white comes on fix that issue. The ECU uses all of the sensors to operate correctly, if it cannot the counter will restart.
it worked for me too. There is no other way of resetting this counter. Not even reprogramming the computer will do it. If the shop does not reset the counter after repair, you are screwed. I had the same problem 2 years ago. Good explaining how you reset that Counter.
question ?? will replacing transmission fluid pressure sensor on 2017 grand caravan fix code p1745 w/ engine light on and in limp mode? I succesfully replaced solenoid pack. worked and ran great, but after couple weeks went back into limp mode showing p1745 code.
same happen to me, i replaced the pressure sensor. Did not fixed the problem. i just reset the P1745 code every 3 month or so. That is fine with me. Car is running fine, no problems.
Solenoid pack isn't the issue from what I understand. Once the fluid pressure sensor is replaced it will need adaptation. And hopefully that is the issue a bad solenoid. If it comes back we'll I'll start looking at the pump.
@MyDailyRVLife the sales rep probably has no clue what I'm talking about with that vlp procedure oh well I'm going with the vgate vlinker fs usb obd2 connector and for software the app diagfca download it appears to have that procedure in it and can even make changes in the ECU to enable remote start global window remote lowering and raising etc.
Thanks for your video. I got P1745 code on my vw Routan its actually Chrysler engine and transmission. Gear not shifting. I bought Vident Ilink 440 and the same procedure as you did. But step where you see transmission I didn't see on my scanner!?
@@manuelosorio1978 i dont think their in operation anymore i have the scanner for a gm ineed it for chrysler i bought the program for $60 they took my money never heard anything from them
i have this scanner but its for a gm i need the chrysler progam you cant buy it from vident anymore would anybody sell me a copy of there chrysler program
Hey out of curiosity did you try using the app diagfca program with an obdlink fs before getting this scantool? I ask because for around 90 dollars canadian I might be able to do the same procedure.
@MyDailyRVLife hey it worked, I bought a vgate vlinker fs from Amazon for around $45 canadian and paid around $45 canadian for appcar diagfca scantool app and did this same procedure then after driving for a bit and shutting off my 2014 dodge grand Caravan sxt limp mode disappeared and I did the transmission quick learn procedure and now it shifts buttery smooth! I think I'm going to make a video tomorrow for my channel to help folks out like you did.
Is there a difference between the gray ilink 400 and the black ilink 400? Aside from buying this scantool and installing the included free vehicle software did you have to download anything else to be able to perform that operation and 8f so what was the final cost you incurred to be able to reset those permanent p1745 transmission codes?
Sir you helped a lot of people that are willing to listen.

it helped me too
let's see how long it will work
It is very hard to find a knowledgeable mechanic. The new generation refuses to learn and they definitely lack the knowledge for the newer vehicles.
That code went me crazy …… ty sir , it worked for me …
Glad it helped
Hey BTW you got lucky purchasing this scantool when you did ,according to the sellers I'm in contact with it doesn't perform this procedure.
Well, some sellers may not know much of the tool. It did it for me I updated the software 2 times, and it still works.

That step is under Miscellaneous option, not under transmission
Thanks. But I think my Vident scan have maybe different programs. Could you send me pls program that you use in your video. Maybe link to download.
I think the ilink 400 and 440 are different. Maybe the 440 has no Transmission option. I will look into it and let you know.

No, I did not. Did an extensive research on the internet. This tool was the only solution I could find.
@MyDailyRVLife if it ever fails I will let you know how I make out with the options I'm going with as I mentioned in the question to you.

When you first got this code and you would shift your vehicle into reverse and drive would it shift hard into it?
Yes, it did

They are both the same. When I bought it a while ago (2 years) it was $129 total.
