    First time, watching welding or grinding, I had to put on sunglasses.....because of the shoes the guy was wearing. Super glue in genius !

      I've grinded plenty of times with lots of flash... I'm talking about my shoes.
      I cut the 30-minute scene of unstucking my hand from the Heiman.... joint.

    I think some grease on the threads would be a good idea.

    Great idea for a tractor part but pro tip
    Don't have your hitch setup bolted to your swingarm
    Always mount your hitch frame to the motorcycle chassis
    The swing arm needs to travel without the hitch frame

    • @OffGridandWhiskey
      @OffGridandWhiskey  8 дней назад

      Yes. That makes total sense. So far, I haven't had any issues. But it's not like I'm hammering single track with the trailer attached. Thanks for the pro tip!

    I have been thinking about making a trailer and hitch for my bike. I want/need to make everything from scratch. I can not find a manufacturer that makes a hitch to fit my bike. The only thing that will be premade is the axle and suspension. For the trailer's body, I will use a large car-top carrier... Wish me luck. ( 2004 Honda Shadow Ace, VT 750 )

    Have you thought about installing some small shocks for the carriage axle/wheels?
    Might be good for those really rocky and bumpy A, B and F lines.

    • @OffGridandWhiskey
      @OffGridandWhiskey  Год назад

      I'll definitely look into shocks. You never know what kinda rockin happens. Especially on the A,B,F abd C lines.
      1st, I wanna put a pair of 33" Buckshot Mudders on and a pair of truck nuts off the rear.

      By buckle, do you mean turn buckle? It's a Category 1 Top Link by CountyLine. 20" long. 3/4" ball joints. 1 1/8 NC threads.

    When you are not using the Heim Joint, could I use it on my tractor on the 3-point hitch. I lost mine.

  • @ShaneZettelmier
    @ShaneZettelmier Год назад +1

    It seems you’ve lost your balls. 🤔
    Much better though. That spare tire looks kind of low, you might have to move that eventually for trails but I think the home joint option is pretty cool. I think you’ll need truck nuts for the trailer as well. 🤔

    • @OffGridandWhiskey
      @OffGridandWhiskey  Год назад +1

      Still waiting for my ball to drop.
      Finally, someone noticed the low spare tire. That has to go for sure for clearance, Clarence.
      I gotta buy truck nutz!

    Most dangerous thing i see is spare hanging on the bottom.

      I agree. I unbolted it and put the spare inside the cargo space.

      @OffGridandWhiskey It's crazy to pay 200.00 dollars for swivel hitch. I looked at top links today to see what I can come with for MC camping trailer. Of course people will blow you out for saving money.

      I paid $80 tops at Tractor Supply for the Heim and accessories. Works great.
