I have given up soft drinks and alcohol. Very few sweets are in my buying list. Making something small to eat and sodium count is very small. Drinking containers of water when I feel hungry. Gets me ready for the gym. There i enjoy the whirlpool and swimming pool. Pleanty of rest.
Use your plastic 2 liter pop bottles wash let dry pour your rice, flour, corn meal, oatmeal using a funnel to store your food items. Once cap is on no mouse, insect can get in them. Store in climate control area in the dark. For long term storage freeze items for 48 hours, let come to room temperature before pouring into 2 liter bottles
They will also chew off the labels on her canned goods to use as their "nesting" material, so you won't have any idea of what's inside the can🤔🤔...I don't speak from any experience from that at all, dont'cha know?!?!?🤣🤣🐭🐭😩😩🐁🐁
Also if you store in glass jars add a bay leaf I learned this from someone who lived in a place with no air conditioning or refrigeration and the bay leaf deters critters including mealy bugs in grains because sometimes store bought products have critters when you buy them and you don’t know until eggs hatch I know gross but true 😢 Bay leaves really work esp if you have access to fresh ones on trees. I put bay leaves,garlic cloves and pepper mint oil in my cupboards too #ounceofpreventionworthapoundofcure!
Just got back from Wally Weird, picked up those marked down Sirloin steaks. Cooked em up in electric fry-pan and made a salad. Thought I was dining at a 5 star restaurant.
I keep oatmeal, rice, dry beans in upright freezer in garage. We have lots of room as we don’t store or eat meat. I have had a mouse problem in the past. It is the worst!

You can get 5-gal food safe buckets and lids at the big box stores. If it has a marking on the bottom of 1, 2, 4, or 5, it is food safe. They aren't very expensive, and you can store any dry goods inside. Mouse and pest proof! Most preppers use them to store dry beans, crackers, cereals & grains, etc.
Dollar tree if you have one carry those jars with the lid in 2/3 different sizes. They have replacement lids in a pack of 3 They also have reusable sandwich bag’s in a couple different sizes I love them they are thicker and have cute designs.
What she's trying to convey if you've been watching she does have no spend day's. But a prepper will always grab some cans to keep up the stockpile. Plus if she sells stuff she uses that money and doesnt touch her normal income.
honestly check the values of your jewelry, purses whatever you are selling and sell accordingly now...if the economy tanks more, not many will be buying "luxury" items when they need to buy food and pay bills...sell and tuck the $$ away in a no spend bank

It can be confusing for some when the channel creator constantly contradicts themselves. I really have tried to look past it for quite awhile. And while Rhoda has valuable information most of the time, it is hard to keep up with the “flavor of the day” posts. Rhoda has been making videos for MANY years, and I think the inconsistency in her presentation may be why she hasn’t gained more followers. I’m not being nasty, I am simply sharing my observations; and people are free to do that when others post on a public forum. Like I said in my original post, I wish nothing but the best for Rhoda, I am grateful she is sharing all that she does. The inconsistencies are crazy making.

Get a couple of plastic tubs WITH lids and to keep your cardboard and soft packaged foods snacks, crackers, cereal instant potatoes and so on.
Sticky traps have no poison .. bonus I also prep the wood old-fashioned traps just in case sticky traps are not in the future.. dollar tree

Most recipes are for 4 people. I divide it into 3 portions eat one and freeze or refrigerate the other 2.
Keep in mind Cardboard boxes, which you use a lot in your stockpile storage, attracts mice.
Don’t get glue boards! Trust me on this. It’s not pleasant. And trust me the poison works. Promise.
