- Watch AMBY's exclusive interview with Steel Panther! I recently shared with our AMBY viewers that we're interviewing one of my all-time favourite bands, Steel Panther. It was totally bitchin' sitting down with their frontman Michael Starr as I travelled from Toronto to London to catch the band's performance at The London Music Hall. It was a surreal experience interviewing a band I love this much and I can easily say that this interview is a highlight of my career. I'm so proud that AMBY allows me and my staff to have experiences like this with the bands we love. With that said, AMBY is pleased to share with everyone our exclusive interview with Steel Panther -- dive into the hilarious video as we discuss getting fucked up, border checks, favourite wardrobe pieces, STD deflecting spandex, loving Van Halen, pranking each other, stage fights, and his beloved band members.

Hell Yeah! I know their a gimmick in ways but love when they go out of character a little and show more of themselves like he is so Awesome and I love the band! Wish they were doing this long ago they are 80s personified!

Michael actually looks like he'd make a decent guitar player. It looks like a good interest of his. If he hasn't already taken it up, he should! Although I do prefer him killing it singing on stage.

Great Interview! And thank you for using 2 microphones! You don't know how many interviews I've seen where it's either just a prop and the audio is horrible or they use one but never know exactly how to speak into it or direct it toward the guest. Again great interview!

Yeah they’re a hoot. I’ve been a fan of them for about 20 years. And it was so stupid, that every time they came to The Netherlands I went to LA... 3 years ago that happened too but they’d return to LA and play a gig the last day before I would leave back to NL. So I was like: “Steel Panther in LA?! Fuck yeah”. So I drove from San Diego to the ROXY because tickets were sold at the counter so close to the concert. When I got there... sold out... fuck!
Well this year before the Corona lockdown I saw them live in my own home town Utrecht. And it was a hoot. But being a 47 year old in the mosh pit made me feel older than Michael Starr :) So eventually we moved to the back to the room... euhmm stadium. And had a blast together with all the other old geezers :)
Michael still sound and feels like a 40 year old. Hope his awesome voice will last for a long time - Bon Jovi, Axl etc...aging has done a lot. Michael can sing!
