I'm wearing hip & elbow pads this season and rails STILL scare me! I was doing ok on the boxes, then my home resort replaced them all w/kinked rails. I really don't want a nasty hip bruise like yours! I don't see the big wide tubes in CA like you all in Europe :(

Were you taught to point/place your lead arm out ahead to help with turning or was that your natural way ? I struggle with getting my body turned to the 90* Ive gone to a different camp and had the same experience where I finally made it to the end of a tube the last hour of the week. what baffles me is I haven't been able to recreate that since.

Hey! I don't recall explicitely being taught to do that with my lead arm, I think it just came naturally while trying keep my balance while on the feature. I was taught to put the fist of my lead arm down by my knee in the beginning, and that really helped me stop slippping out. Committing to 90 degrees was a separate issue for me, and had more to do with my fear of really committing to the slide than anything else. I overcame that by making myself commit to 90 on easy features, like the boxes, where I wasnt as scared of the feature. Then once I felt confident in the movement I would take it to something a little more intimidating, like the tubes. I hope this helps! And just keep practicing, I'm sure you'll get back to what you achieved at camp!

This so much! I finally learned to slide a tube last week. That black tube in the small park and really thanks to Stomp It and the amazing coaches. I can so emphasize with the frustration and pain coming from falling and the huge satisfaction when you finally manage to slide the whole thing.

Of course! Doing flips impressive I've got to catch up! 20 of 23 on 180 attempts today VERY happy! I love it when I see people on the lift who watched after completing 1. Couldn't get 270 today but I do feel like I'm on my way. Heal up season's running out!@@sendingitfromthecity

I genuinely fail to understand why anyone would go to the snow to run their board or skis across a piece of steel from the concrete and steel urban environment they escaped from to go skiing.
