Thank you for skating, Yuzuru Wow both of his 2 FS at Saitama Worlds 2014 & 2019 were quite clean skate. Thank you ☺️ He won his 1st world Gold with back injury when finished his last Romeo & Juliet 2.0 with white costume but still performed beautiful Biellman spin. And he didn’t fall any jump, especially his quads. Thank you GOAT Yuzuru with 19 - at the age of 19 in 2013-2014, this was his most success season because he won GPF, Olympics and Worlds. - 7 (day) + 12 (December) = 19. 19/7/2022 was the day he announced retirement as a competitive figure skater then he will be a professional figure skater in the future - he was the only Japanese Olympian who won gold at Sochi 2014 at the age of 19 - he became the 1st skater who got 100 SP - he still the only Asian men single skater who won gold at Olympics and he did twice

Yuzuru will go down in history more that a footnote, but one of the greatest figure skaters in history. The perfect balance between technique and artistry, his performances are wrapped in humanity. He will be missed in the competitive arena but the memories he shared with lovers of skating will be long lasting. Yuzuru, continue to dream big, be grateful, and skate often.
A beautiful program from the 19-year-old Yuzuru in 2014, no one could combine such high level technique in this quality, with all the intricacies and fantastic musicality he had. He won the free skate with this great performance which earned him the first World Championships gold medal. Remember, it was a long season in which he became the first skater since the early 2000s who had won the Grand Prix Final, the Olympic Games and World Championships gold medal. Only him ratified 4T3A but only 15,40 points base value with 10% bonus points when he still competed wtf 🤬 after he finished his last competition at Olympic 2022, you fix that rule at 2022 Congress: 17,50 points base value like Shoma 3A4T at WTT 19, 21 - his last clean skate (SP) was at Jnats 2021 - his 1st 4A attempt was at last Jnats 2021 - when he practiced his last JNats, he jumped beautiful 3A3Lo. Love that combo
For me personally Ice skating will never be the same without him. I understand his decision, and I know there are a lot also very skilled ice skaters around and there will be even maybe a new Hanyu in the future, but the way Yuzuru has changed the sport for me is once in a lifetime. He is my absolute GOAT and I wish him all the love and all the best for his future career. Personally, although with my mind I understand it, and I knew it was coming, I am so so sad... Thank god we have all those wonderful memories of his phenomenal routines.

he is just precious. Talent we have all commented on many times and it goes without saying. Truly the GOAT. But his is just so likable and darling. That is what makes him special, kind, loving, generous of spirit, fun loving, a great friend, encourages others. He will still be those things. I think I worry now that I won't be able to see so many videos since I live in the states.

I still remember the very moment he landed that 4S, how it always seemed to evade him no matter what. He’s not quite spared from its elusiveness at times (ouch, Beijing you will always hurt me), but its transformation from how it was here versus now is unreal. He really does make it look like butter - cannot imagine how many bruises and falls it took to hone it to its current level of perfection. (Unfortunately, I’m aware his injury late last year that pulled him out of the GP was due to this very jump, so Quad Sal, I’m expecting apologies.)

So this is what freedom looks like, or how freedom looks. 👏👏👏 Much freedom but everything is right, correct, precise, constrictive, yet still so free... even if he fumbles but retaining right, correct, precise, under constraint. 👍👍👍...
