Along with all his fantastic tunes Joe never lost the fun and vitality of music itself. Love him!

Brilliant!!! Didn't realise what a great voice Graham maby has ❤

This was such a brave departure for him and he’s one of the very few who truly followed his muse and against the odds was able to keep a fan base large enough to allow him to continue this to this day.
If the HOF was truly about artistic expression and independence, then Joe would have inducted years ago.

Been loving Joe since 78 and I guess he’s still educating me on a vast range of music. He truly is “The Man”. Thank you Joe.

I don't think I've ever seen a more generous musician than Joe Jackson. He always shares the spotlight with his band. Really quite a nice reflection of who he is.

He just never disappoints. His multiple musical talents are utterly unprecedented. He has carefully crafted a place all his own in the pantheon of rock and roll royalty. And yet he's underrated, which makes him an irony unto himself. God bless Joe Jackson.

No one can touch Joe Jackson., no matter what he turns his musical chops to. All his albums are all so unique....so Joe. His covers ,well, he makes them his own

I've always loved joe, night and day is one of the finest produced albums it's the album that just keeps giving. I bought it after hearing stepping out, the rest was just an education, still gives me goosebumps every time I put it on.😍💟👍

"Joe" started as a bar musician, with Graham by his side. Always loyal to his band mates and the music. Never fails to put it all out there, whether original compositions or homages to his influences.

Joe could never quite capture the "angry young man" attitude that drew people to Elvis, though I can hear it in some of his songs. They do sound similar in many ways; you're right. It's a shame he never got more popular than he did. Joe is an amazing talent.

    • @dantean

Really they don't, though they ARE both genuine songwriters and equally musically important.

I've never really understood the comparison. I mean, they're males from England, born around the same time. That's about it. All else is contrived by the media. Joe Jackson is the far superior performer and musician, imo.

@@tarp11z100% correct. Some of the best shows I’ve ever seen were Joe Jackson and 2 of the worst shows I’ve EVER seen were Elvis Costello. They’re not in the same league.

This is beyond great, whoever hasn't seen this is missing out. I was fortunate enough to see this on the Night and Day tour ... but without Joy, I think. Joe announced the medley with "If you don't like this, you're sick!" Thanks for letting me see it again. Can anyone tell me why Graham Maby isn't the biggest name in music?
